Willow's stomach grumbled as the two girls made their way out of the dormitory and into the great hall. She could smell the mouthwatering aroma of dinner, and when she opened the door, the sound of students chattering and chewing filled her ears. She made her way to the Ravenclaw table, Tracey along with her, and found two seats for them to sit at. She tugged her sleeves over her hands- a nervous habit- and looked over at her new friend.

"What's your favorite food?" Willow asked over the din. The table was laden with dishes, and she had to struggle not to fill her plate immediately- but she didn't want to be rude. She had just met Tracey, but she had the feeling that they would be very good friends. She wanted to do everything she could to make sure that happened. "The house-elves always do a splendid job." Her family didn't have a house-elf, but sometimes she wished they did. Perhaps then she could have had a friend growing up- and, well, her mam wasn't the world's best cook. Luckily, her siblings had started to help cook meals at home over the summer, and they were at least able to spice meat correctly.

Willow looked back at Tracey, waiting for the other girl to get some food before she began to eat, even though her stomach demanded sustenance immediately. A thick strand of red hair fell in front of her face, and she was momentarily distracted from her hunger when she realized that she had never had a friend to eat dinner with before. Perhaps things were changing for the better.

Tracey followed Willow all the way from the West Tower to the Great Hall. She was pretty hungry now and was sure she could eat anything. She followed Willow into the Great Hall and sat down on one of the two seats that were left at the Ravenclaw table. Tracey looked at all the food the house-elves had prepared for them all. Tracey thought about it for a moment before saying,
"Hmmmmmmmmm, I like a lot of food, I'm not that picky, but my favorite food is probably anything that isn't seafood. It's hard to pick one. How 'bout you? I agree, I'm amazed with the amount of food they could create!"
After she had said that, she started to put a small portion of food onto her plate. She then looked over at Willow and was happy that she has made a friend that she could eat with during dinner, or any type of meal, actually. Tracey wondered if her little kitty, Tiger, would like Blueberry and Willow. But then again, Tiger doesn't bite, and he likes everyone Tracey likes and also loves every kind of animal, even rats, mouses, and dogs. Maybe after dinner she'll introduce Willow to her little kitty, but hopefully the two cats won't cause any trouble while their owners are eating dinner.

After Tracey began to fill her plate, Willow started to get her own food, glad that she was able to eat, and tossed back her hair. The Irish lass was blessed with long, thick locks, but they tended to get in the way sometimes. As she pulled some bread from the other side of the table, she listened to Tracey speak, then nodded.

"I really like soup," Willow said, then blushed. "I mean, my Granny makes really good soup. It's my favorite. And I agree, I don't really like fish." She was glad that she was so comfortable with the other Ravenclaw and began to eat, forcing herself to go slowly. Her Granny really did make amazing soup- full of herbs and spices, probably the best in Ireland, she would bet. She found herself wondering where Tracey was from. Willow herself was the epitome of an Irish girl, with her pale skin and bright red hair, but for some others, it was less obvious.

"Where are you from?" she asked, spinning her fork around her plate. She added, quite unnecessarily, "I live in Ireland." She strained her ears to listen for Tracey's response; the Great Hall was extremely loud, filling her head with shouts and unintelligible chatter. She fought the pricks of a headache; Willow wanted to enjoy herself as much as possible, even if her social battery was running low. She took another bite and focused her gaze on her friend.

Tracey saw Willow putting food onto her plate, and slowly the girl began eating, still waiting for Willows answer. Tracey heard Willow state that she likes soup, especially the one her grandmother makes. Tracey began thinking about what she likes from her grandparents. She loves her grandmothers cookies. Tracey nodded her head then said,
"Soup is good. I love my grandmothers cookies. She makes the best cookies every! Tho, I love everything the house elves and my grandparents and parents make. Actually, now that I think about it, I might be allergic to seafood. I'm not sure tho,"
Tracey hopped that Willow heard her. The Great Hall was really loud, and Tracey didn't want to yell, since she didn't want to lose her voice. She began eating more of her food and soon she was almost done with her plate. She swallowed and then heard Willow ask where she's from. She had a feeling Willow was from Ireland, and her guess was right when Willow confirmed it.
"Nice. What's it like in Ireland? I'm from Kentisbeare, England. I haven't really left the country before, so I'm not sure what other countries are like. This is my first time leaving the country, actually," Tracey says.

"I love cookies," Willow said with a soft smile. She was prone to stress eating and loved sweets- along with chocolates, cookies were some of her favorites. Her eyes lit up Tracey inquired about her home in Ireland. It was one of her favorite things to talk about; there was so much beauty to be explored in her homeland. She almost wished she could take Tracey right then to see it, because it was hard to describe.

"Ireland is very green," Willow began. "Especially in the summers. Well, it rains a lot, but it really is grand. The hills are lovely, and we have these cliffs over the waters where you can feel the breezes in your hair." It was so easy to imagine herself back on one of the cliffs over a sparkling loch, dreaming of dragons and unicorns and other folktales that her parents would tell them or that were written in old children's books.

"There she is again, away with the fairies.*" Her siblings would say and roll their eyes at her. But Willow was a dreamer, plain and simple, and Ireland was perfect fuel for her creative mind. Realizing that she had totally gotten lost in her thoughts, she turned her attention back to Tracey.

"Um, I've been to England a few times. do you like it there?" She hoped that she hadn't made Tracey feel like she wasn't paying attention to her. She polished off her bread and flicked back another strand of hair, ready to give her new friend her full attention.

It's ok! Ik irl can get hectic at times!

Tracey smiled brightly at what Willow had said. Turns out Tracey wasn't the only one with a sweet tooth! Or maybe she was. She didn't actually know if Willow has a sweet tooth like how Tracey does, but Tracey's sweet tooth is really big! Tracey then said,
"Homemade cookies are probably the best, dontcha agree? D'you have a sweet tooth? I have a very big sweet tooth, I think, but I haven't gotten any cavities, which is good!"
Tracey actually wasn't afraid to ask if someone had a sweet tooth, cause just in case if there were an event and you gotta send something sweet to a friend, Tracey would send a sweet treat to her friends that have a sweet tooth, and she knows very well that not everyone likes sweets. When Tracey heard Willow's explanation of Ireland, she eyes lit up. Tracey was picturing everything Willow had said in her mind and gasped, then said,
"Ireland seems really cool! It also seems very pretty! Maybe I could convince my parents to take me there one day! Actually, that won't work. My mum's a healer, so she's gotta stay in England and work,"
As much as she wanted to go to Ireland with her parents, she knew it'd be hard for her mother to get time off, and she didn't want to just go with her father like she did when she went to the muggle world. But then again, she was able to see her father's parents then, and she really enjoyed it there. Like Willow, Tracey was also stuck in her thoughts, and she only snapped out of them when she heard Willow speak. Tracey then said,
"I really do love it there. It's very pretty, y'know. Actually, I think every country, city, or place is very pretty, in its own way,"

Willow smiled back at Tracey, laying her fork down on top of her plate. Soon enough desert would arrive, and she wanted to save some room in her stomach for that.

"Oh, I definitely have a sweet tooth," She agreed. "Perhaps when you're all grown up you can travel more. I think I want to visit the Americas sometime. And explore more of Europe, too." Willow had been to quite a few countries because her father loved to travel, but she would like to see even more. New and beautiful places were so fascinating and full of inspiration. "I've been to England, Scotland, Wales, France, Norway, and Belgium," she listed shyly.

Willow tapped her fingers on the table in a pattern. She was a big fidgeter, no matter how much she tried to keep her hands still. Whether messing with her sleeves, cracking her knuckles, or playing with her bright red hair, she could never seem to stay completely stagnant. It was an anxious habit she could never seem to rid herself of.

"Mam's a nurse, that's kind of like a Healer," Willow offered. "She's a muggle though, but very keen on magic." She sometimes wondered if her mother had been shocked to discover that her father was a wizard- but while being a worrier, Reagan Bynre was an open-minded woman and very quick to give someone the benefit of the doubt. "Do you have any siblings?" Willow asked Tracey, as her mind was on the topic of family. "And, would you like to stop by the library with me after dinner's over?" Her voice dropped a little with her request, hoping that her new friend would want to keep hanging around with her.

When Tracey felt full, she finished off what she was chewing then set her fork down on her empty plate. She hadn't taken a lot of food, and was still hungry, but was waiting for dessert, since she wanted to eat something sweet. When she heard that Willow has a sweet tooth, Tracey smiles brightly and maybe the two could bake sweets together some time! When she heard Willow speaking about traveling, she nodded her head and was amazed with how many places Willow has been. Tracey was only been to England once, and that's about it.
"Maybe we could bake sometime? Oh, wow, you've been to a lot of places. I'd definitely love to travel when I'm older. I'll do that, for sure. Maybe we could travel together?" Tracey asks.
Tracey knows that it's a long time until they graduate from Hogwarts, but she tends to dream big, and even tho she has no idea what'll happen during her time here at the school, she still decided to ask, since it could be a possibility which the two could turn into reality. Tracey also noticed that Willow was tapping the table in a pattern, and knew her friend was fidgeting, but didn't say anything about it. She then heard Willow speak and then Tracey said,
"Nurse's are definitely like hearlers! Their just the non-magical version. That's how I like to think of things. No, I'm an only child, my dad is too. But, my mother has an older brother and a younger sister, but I never get to see them. Sure! I'd love to go to the library with you. Maybe I'll find a book I'd like to read,"

Tracey seemed excited about traveling, and Willow realized that she was rather lucky to have been to so many places. With all of her siblings, they hadn't necessarily been splurgy trips, but they had been fun. She recalled all of the wonderful sights she had been able to experience and smiled.

"It would be fun to travel with friends," She agreed. "But not too many," As an introvert, the redhead had to draw the line at large groups- though her own family was one. Luckily, she had recently made amends with her oldest sister Aisling, and she was looking forward to visiting with her when she went home for Easter. "Perhaps you could come and see me in Ireland over the summer," She offered, hoping that Tracey would appreciate the idea. "And we could definitely bake sometime." It really was lovely to talk to someone who shared many of Willow's interests.

The chatter of the Great Hall seemed to be dying down, and Willow realized that some people were beginning to leave. She looked out over the deserts that were now lining the huge Ravenclaw table and grabbed a cookie for herself. The time was going by much faster than she was used to. "Do you have any ideas on what you might like to read? I like fantasy, myself."

Tracey knows that if you visit new places, you get to learn more things about the world, try new types of food, and learn about the differences all around the world. When she heard Willow's comment, and smiled at her then said,
"Taking a lot of people isn't always fun, cause sometimes everyone wants to do something different, and the group tends to be split up. Going with one or two people is good. Sure, I can visit you sometime! I just gotta ask my parents. Maybe I can send you an owl if I can once I return home for summer break. It'd be fun if we can hangout during summer,"
The thought of hanging out with her friend over summer made her smile brightly. But, it also depends on what her parents say, since Willow does live in Ireland, and Tracey has no idea how to get there. When she saw the desserts appear, she took a while to pick something, but in the end she took a piece of cheese cake.
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm actually not sure. The last book I had read was a sci-fi book, and I didn't really like it. Maybe I'll give fantasy a try," Tracey says after thinking for a while after she heard what Willow had asked.
