Venomous Aftermath... Finished

Donny looked intently upon his legs as he pondered about Jade's questions. "Well.. my father actually played for the Falmouth Falcons when I was born... until, he was nearly killed by a bludger." he said shortly, kind of killing the moment. He tried with all of his might not to, but his emotions got the better of him. He remembered, as he was only two at the time, his mother telling him about what had happened to his father, and why he went crazy and was sent to Azkaban. He was a famous player, one of the best on his team, and a foul man jinxed a bludger, and his father got the worst of it. He suffered from head trauma and his father went crazy. One night, his father broke into a vault at Gringotts, needing money for the family, but he injured a few aurors before being prosecuted and sent to prison. 

"Oh!" he said, realizing jade was still there. "I-sorry- I, yes have ridden a broom before!" he replied, snapping out of his head. "I quite like to whenever I get the chance on a nice day!" he said, smirking and looking back down at his bandaged legs.    

Jade frowned a bit turning away form Donny "It's ok if you don't want to answer, but what happened to your father. I know he doesn't play for the Falcons anymore and it obviously bothers you, it may help to get it off your chest." Jade said in a kind, but misty voice.

She knew what it was like to have troubles with injured parents, her mother was currently in St Mungos with injuries from experimenting with a spell. Jade had only gotten the letter three days ago, her Mother was probably going to be home by the weekend. But that didn't stop Jade from worrying. 

As Jade stared at the wall infront of her she once more heard the scream form that night her Mother's experiment had gone wrong, it was the first time since Jade's birth, but it wouldn't be the last. Jade's eyes started to fill with tear but Jade quickly wiped them, pretending to rub her eyes as to hide it form Donny. 

Jade just hoped that Donny would trust her, she had always loved comforting other children. She had plenty of experience, though, she hadn't yet comforted anyone at Hogwarts. No matter, Jade still knew how.

It wasn't hard for Donny to see the tears that filled Jade's eyes, he knew exactly how she felt. "Hey! I-didn't mean to darken the mood!" he said hopefully, after all she had saved his life, and who was he to make her feel bad about anything. "Hey... it's okay!" he said, trying to lighten the mood once more. "I-uh... yes I quite like flying!" he said, bringing up their last subject. He looked down at his legs another time, feeling dreary and tired, like he wanted to curl up and pass out peacefully, hopefully making it to charms class in the morning. 

"So... do you like-anything else, other than Quidditch or anything?" he asked, trying to keep himself awake. He knew he just loved venturing out, reading books about quidditch, pranking deserving slytherins with dung bombs if he had to. "Shopping, music, writing?' he suggested, smiling over at her. "I like eating candy from Honeydukes, in fact I just got my first Chocolate frog card!" he added with delight. It was a common, but luck told that everyone's first card  is a common. He laid back and looked at the paintings on the walls, most with pretty hard injuries, but the nurse in the other paintings tended to jump frames...    

Jade finished wiping her tears shaking her head "Sorry, I didn't mean to- Cool, what card did you get. I don't have any yet, though I'm planning on getting one as soon as I get the chance" Jade said.

She really hadn't meant to cry, oh well, they were back on track. They were talking about fin things and they would continue for as long as Jade could help it. Jade let out a sigh.

"all things considered, this is actually a rather fun night. Yes i do have scraped up legs and Yes I am in the Hospital Wing. But I've made a new friend in the process. The only thing I wish I had was some light music in the background. For those pauses in conversation." Jade said turning back to Donny.

friend, I've made a friend. An actual friend, or so I think I have. If we are friends, then maybe I won't spend so much time alone, sitting in the corners of the common room studying and listening to music. Maybe I'll finally have someone to hangout with. As Jade made this realisation a wide grin spread across her face. Maybe this year wouldn't be so lonely after all.

Donny smiled deeply at her sentiment, blushing. He quickly answered her question from earlier, "I got myself a Celestina Warbeck!"  he said, pulling the card out of his pocket. It was a common, but his first card was a giant leap for his journey in life. "I'm particularly proud seeing as it's my fist one!" he said, nearly moving his legs from the props. He thought about his journey soon to be here at Hogwarts. How he's made two pretty good friends so far and how they both knew him for what he was, unlike how he used to play it off in muggle school. "I'm really glad your my friend-and heck, what a good way to! Never thought nearly dyin' could earn me some friendship!" he said, yawning once more. He was getting quite tired, and if one thing was right, he was in need of some heavy sleep, seeing as it was quite late already. 

"It's been nice talking to you Jade!" he said, tucking himself into his pillows thoughtfully. "But I think we'll pick it up in the- arggh- morning!" he said, yawning in between words. He never slept so happily, as he had just passed out. Maybe it was the medicine? He didn't know, but all he did know was that he had some good times a'comin'! 

Jade laughed at Donny's remark blushing a bit happy that he considered her a friend too. "Good night" Jade said softly before laying back down getting ready to sleep.

What an amazing, eventful day. Jade sat there for a few minuets thinking, she just couldn't believe she had actually saved someones life. It was so, so strange, Jade had never thought she would do anything like that.

Jade tossed and turned for quite awhile, she was tired but just couldn't fall asleep. after tossing and turning as quietly as she could so she woudn't wake Donny she realised that it was best just to lay still and try to realax.

No matter how hard she tried Jade just couldn't sleep, her mind was racing with the events of today. Jade decided the best way for her to fall asleep would be to sing a little tune. She looked over at Donny who was fast asleep.

Turning away from Donny Jade light whispered in her quietest voice a little melody her Mom had used to sing her when she was little. It worked like a charm. The events of today still playing in Jade's head, she slowly fell into a deep slumber.
