Two hours had passed since they left the platform. Violet was still sitting alone in her compartment. She was in no hurry to make friends. She had not even tried to explore the train. She was just sitting there in her cabin as it is. She was still emotional. She missed her parents and her mansion in Dulverton. She glanced outside the window, taking in the scenery. It was for sure breathtaking. That helped her to take off her mind from her parents for a while.
The sunlight pouring into the cabin through the window, made it look aesthetic. It made her want to continue her current read and so that's what she did.
She spent her time reading and flipping through the pages. It was a beautiful book, about a girl who found a new family and had a great adventure infront oh her.
At some point, in the book, she had to say a goodbye to her family, the scene being heavily mixed with tears. It moved Violet emotionally and she remembered saying a goodbye to her own family.
Feeling emotional, Violet closed the book again.
That's when she heard the trolley lady's voice calling out from infront of her cabin. She got out of her cabin, ready to buy a few things to eat. As she looked at the trolley, she was overwhelmed. It had so many things and she couldn't really decide. Violet did not realise there was a guy standing beside her at all.
Already being emotional and on the top feeling overwhelmed, she sobbed quietly. She really missed her mother and the way they would cook together on weekends.
Violet with trembling hands, trying to control her sobs, reached out for her purse to buy a pumpkin pasty. Her mom had told her that it was her absolute favourite. She whimpered on that thought.

It's been two hours on the train and Klynn had yet to find a seat. Correction: he had yet to find a seat where there were less than three other people. He did not want to deal with joining a group that had already been introduced to each other. However, he finally managed to find a compartment where there was only one person in it. He walked in and was surprised to see the girl in the compartment didn't seem to notice he was even there and continued reading her book.

He sat down and pulled out his own book that his Aunt had brought him from her job: Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. As he was reading, the trolley lady came by but he didn't buy anything. The girl, however, moved out to buy some snacks. When she came back she sat down and began sobbing, not loud enough for the train to hear, but loud enough that he was going to get annoyed. After a minute, Klynn shut his book and finally spoke to the girl.

"I'm sorry, but am I going to have to deal with this for the remainder of the trip? Whatever you're tearing up about cannot be that bad"

Klynn knew he was being blunt and potentially sounded rude but he didn't really care. He just hoped two things. Number 1: that he didn't just start a conversation with a rude person. Number 2: that she wouldn't keep crying the rest of the trip.

Violet was lost in her own little world. She genuinely missed her parents. She was sobbing quietly, trying to get the pain of separation off her chest, completely not acknowledging the presence in the cabin.
She didn't want anyone to see her crying. People would tease her for being a baby, but she couldn't help it, could she? It was when she was interrupted, that too quite rudely.
The blonde guy now sitting infront of her, had just told her off about her crying. Violet glared at him with her teary eyes. She hadn't noticed him at all. Was he always there?
"Who are you? And I'm pretty sure I took the cabin first. So if you can't deal with it, you can find yourself another.", she spoke pretty rudely with traces of anger. She was not sure if she was the first one to take the cabin, but she spoke all that anyways with fake confidence.
She was already emotional and the boy infront of her wasn't helping it. Anger surged inside her, for the boy was almost making fun of her. Or he wasn't? But whatever, he was plainly being rude.
This was not in Violet's To-do list for Hogwarts. But she had definitely made an enemy before a friend. And she was, oh so not excited for it.

Okay, rude person, got it. Klynn just sighed knowing that he just started a conversation with someone who he would not get along with. However, his face nor tone changed as he looked blankly at the girl and answered her questions.

"To begin, my name is Klynn Seacrown, a... 'pleasure'. Second, yes, you did have this cabin first. Almost all other space was taken up, however, so I'll not be moving. If you're confused as to how I got here without you knowing, you were busy reading your book... then you started crying after the trolley lady came by, and here we are."

With his blunt answers out of the way, Klynn continued the conversation, hoping the girl will quiet down afterwards. He didn't want the conversation (near-argument) to drag on longer than he could be bothered to take part in, so he tried to finish it quick.

"Here is the part of the conversation where you introduce yourself before we both are quiet, you stop crying, and I get back to my book."

If this girl was going to be rude to him for asking her to quiet down, he was going to be rude back. A taste of her own medicine.

Violet was totally not liking the tone of the boy infront of her. She was embarrassed that the guy had heard her crying, and he embarrassed her more by mentioning it explicitly, not trying to empathize, or better ignore. It made her angry, for some reason. He was being plainly rude and she could pretty much say, invading her space. She took the cabin first, so the guy infront of her was supposed to announce his presence when he came here but he didn't. Violet normally noticed her surroundings quite well when she was all alone but she was feeling really emotional. This fact again brought embarrassment to her.

Nobody likes being embarrassed and so did Violet, just that her reaction was quite different. To her it felt like, the other person was mocking her, making her anger surge.

As the guy introduced herself which she totally didn't ask for, actually being sarcastic before, she couldn't help but roll her eyes and glared at him. She knew that the guy was being sarcastic and she hated that fact. What does he think of himself.

She replied in a rather calm tone, mocking, and fake smiling at him, "Oh hello, I'm Violet, Violet Rohr and it's so 'nice' to meet you." She stretched the word 'nice' and extended her hand for a handshake, then quickly taking it back without letting him shake hands with her. She knew she was being rude but she had no control over her anger. It was a clear sign, she didn't want to be friends.

She said, "Also the next time you enter a cabin, make sure to ask them if you can enter. It's a polite courtesy, everybody, I repeat, everybody needs to know and follow. And I don't care what you are doing, go do whatever you want and I'll do what I want, which includes sobbing. You intruded, so you got to deal with it.I would have probably did better, if your visit wasn't so unannounced."

Klynn was starting to get very annoyed, all he asked for was for Violet to quiet down and she responds with going at him. He could see she was getting angry which seemed to solidify the idea (in his mind) that she was a brat who couldn't handle someone telling her to quiet down.

Klynn, somehow still monotone but with traces of anger, replied, "Apologies, 'Your Majesty', I wasn't aware you owned this cabin and others could not join. You seemed to be invested in your book, so I left you to it and quietly sat reading my own book. Then I simply ask you to quiet down your crying so I could keep reading in peace. So, 'what I would like to do' is keep reading my book quietly and for you to stop crying."

Klynn didn't even wait for a response before he picked his book back up and kept reading. While he did feel slightly bad for coming off as rude, it didn't bother him as much since this girl clearly showed herself as rude as well. Besides Klynn never made it a habit to apologise for how he spoke, and he didn't feel like starting now (or ever) for that matter.

Violet thought to herself visibly scrunching her nose, 'Such an emotionless git. Who told him to take notice of me sobbing? He could have just ignored. And if not, at least he could be empathetic. He might not miss his parents, but I do, and a lot.'

However, Violet felt a pang of guilt as Klynn used the title 'her majesty' for her. She did not really mean to sound like that. At the same time, it angered her. How could a person be so good at misunderstanding everything. She not at all meant that the cabin was hers and nobody else could occupy it. But she was embarrassed, having been seen sobbing by someone she didn't know and trust.

Not really keen on making an enemy out of the guy infront of her, she decided to explain her words. She started with a visibly softer tone,"Klynn that's not what I meant. The cabin does not belong to me at all. But maybe, it would have been better if you decided to announce your presence once you came here. It startled me.
She mumbled further not really wanting him to hear but Klynn heard it anyways,"Ofcourse, nobody likes sobbing infront of someone else... I feel embarrassed."

To this Klynn just rolled his eyes, not really being interested anymore and returned back to his book, completely ignoring Violet.
Violet noticing his behaviour said quite angrily, "Fine! Don't try to understand anything. Who cares anyways?" Saying this she too ignored Klynn for the rest of the ride and got back to her book.
