The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Remi walked excitedly to the Hufflepuff table. In her mind she was thinking that “she is going to be just like her mom but better. She is going to find so any friends and have great teachers.” But then a she noticed that she was a great deal to her parents and that she could not let them down. Her anxiety kicked in and her face got all red.
Then she realized that this is a time to try your best and do all that you can.
A couple minutes later it was dinner, a time of feast and enjoyment. She thought of how she was going to prepare for the next meal for herself. Then she saw the Gryffindors table which was full of everyone telling them about there parents coolest jobs like an auror or a job at the ministry of magic. Then she looked at the next table where there were the Ravenclaws who were talking about there classes and the history of Hogwarts. Then there were the Slytherins who are making friends and plotting who they were going to attack or bully.
Remi looked down at her plate full of ham and vegetables and wondered if she will make good friends at Hogwarts.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
While making her way to the long table, which was placed underneath the bright yellow banner with the honey badger on it, Cassiopeia tried to take in all her surroundings. Now that the stress of the sorting ceremony was behind her, she could finally appreciate the beautiful design of the great hall.
Looking up the enchanted ceiling, Cassiopeia was taken aback by the beauty of the night sky.
Cassiopeia had always been fascinated by the the stars and their different constellations.
She smiled at the magical ceiling one last time, before she sat down between two of her new house mates. 'I really couldn't have asked for a better house.', Cassiopeia thought and looked at the other people sitting on the wooden table with a big excited smile on her lips. These people sitting around her, would hopefully become like a second to her family for the next 7 years and Cassiopeia was looking forward to getting to know them all of them.
"Hey guys.", she greeted the people around her, without addressing anyone directly and grabbed her knife and fork, hungrily staring at the delicious looking meals in front of her. "I hope this all tastes as good as it looks!", she exclaimed excitedly.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Elizabeth nearly bounded off to her table after she had been sorted. She didn't know much about the house she was in (other than what the hat said), but any house would have been just fine by her.
For a dreadful moment, she had been afraid she wouldn't be sorted at all and would have to be sent back home to her parents. Happily tucking her acceptance letter back into her robes, she sat down at a spot at the Hufflepuff table that was adorned in black and yellow. So excited was she, that she even forgot that she had forgotten all of her stuff at platform 9 3/4 with her parents and sister!
"Hi! My name's Elizabeth" she exclaimed to the other students at the table. She was practically dancing in her seat. "Isn't this so exciting? Did you see the candles up there?" She pointed up at the ceiling. "It's so cool! I don't think I have ever seen anything this exciting before in my whole 11 years! Did you know such a place like this existed before? I only found out about it in the Summer!"
She grabbed a chicken leg and began nibbling at it, still staring at everything going on around her. There were still students being sorted and she watched with anticipation to see who else would be in her house. Many of them seemed nervous, and she was more than excited to welcome them to the house now that she was sorted.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Shays face may have given it away, but she was astounded that she had made it into Hufflepuff. This didn't mean she didn't want to be in the Hufflepuff house, she just didn't expect to be in it. Shay sat up from the chair after being sorted. Looking around, she spotted the Hufflepuff table, black and yellow. She paced herself over, possibly sweating. She'd been anxious to get to Hogwarts before, but, now all her anxiety was coming back to her. She didn't mind socializing, but she wasn't very confident that people would take an interest in her.
She circled two-thirds of the table, before finding somewhere to sit. She slumped down into her spot. Looking around, she could tell almost immediately, there were lots of other people who were just as nervous as her, if not more. Now she felt like an idiot. Of course, others would be nervous too, they don't need more people who don't want to be there, they need someone who wants them there. Her anxiety evaporated into the flames of the candles above. The room glowed luminescent yellow. Shay tapped the girl across from her on the shoulder. She cleared her throat.
"Hello there, my name's Shay. Shay Hickerson! It's nice to meet you!" She said, with a smile.
No matter what people say, you're beautiful just the way you are. You don't have to change to fit in, just be yourself. People who want to be friends with you when you're your true self are real friends.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
The Head of House Hufflepuff gazed upon his new batch of Hufflepuffs. Several of them appeared very nervous. Others appeared very unhappy being draped in black and yellow. BonBon walked over to the table and greeted the new students.
"No need to be nervous around us," BonBon declared to the new students. "We are a humble house, but we are a loyal house. We will stick to you like mud on a pig."
"Now all those other houses might be talking about how they're going to be the bravest, the smartest, or the most powerful. That's all well and good, but they'll need someone to make sure the brave don't do something stupid, the smart don't smart-talk the wrong person, and the powerful don't turn into some monster. That's where we come in. We Hufflepuffs work behind the scenes. For us, the sweat on our brow and the joy of our friends are reward enough. We may not be the first in mind when it comes to fame and fortune, but we tend to be the first in the hearts of all wizards, regardless of house."
With that short speech, he took a cloth napkin and stuck it under his fat chin in preparation for the meal. As he sat down in a random seat, he quickly remembered to introduce himself.
"You may call me Professor BonBon, head of your house Hufflepuff. More importantly though, what's for dinner this evening?"

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Elizabeth smiled at the new Hufflepuff that just sat down. "Nice to meet you, Shay!" she exclaimed, in excitement. "I'm Elizabeth! Isn't this the best thing ever?"
Suddenly, she heard someone address the new Hufflepuffs, collectively. She followed the sound of the voice and saw an older man - he looked like a teacher - talking to them. He had a bald head that shined ever so slightly in the light and a great white beard. He sounded quite cheerful and Elizabeth took an instant liking to him.
She listened to the Hufflepuff Head of House's speech, intently. She knew very little about the Hufflepuff house, but his speech was making her feel more and more proud to be in it.
To think, just hours ago, she was still with her parents and sister, trying to find the platform, worried that she would miss the train. Now, she was sitting in a large room with other witches and wizards, about to start learning magic in what sounded like the finest house in Hogwarts (though she would never say that out loud to anyone not in her house). This day is turning out to be better than I ever imagined, she thought, staring out at all of the students and teachers gathered around the great hall.
The head of house suddenly mentioned food, and Elizabeth chuckled to herself, slightly, scooting over to make room for him. "It sure looks delicious!" she exclaimed, looking at all of the different foods all across the table. Her eyes spotted something round and orange sitting in a bowl a short distance away. "Oranges!" she shouted, reaching over and grabbing one. She loved oranges with all her heart. Expertly, she peeled the outer layer away and plopped a slice in her mouth. Best day ever! she thought as she happily chewed her orange.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Gael was a nervous little creature, very small and scrawny with her red curls untamed and her cheeks slightly red from the sunlight she had been exposed to in the sun on her journey on the train. Professor BonBon perching next to her certainly got her attention though, the house of the house right next to her. Next to him, she was no bigger than a thistle off a rose bush.
"Hello, Professor BonBon," she greeted in her quiet, rather mouse-like voice, smiling up at him from her large, rather dorky black glasses. Hogwarts, a History was closed as she greeted him. His large, friendly persona and bushy white beard made him a rather easy person to talk to, and his happy voice matched her own sunshiney aura.
Another girl, Elizabeth by the sound of it, caught her attention with the oranges. Next to the oranges were large, red-purple fruits, and she immediately perked up. "Erm, Elizabeth, was it? Mind you handing me a pomegranate, please?" She asked around the Professor.
With her fruit in hand, she picked up her knife and carefully cracked into it, the fruit looking more like a large ball in her small hands rather than a seedy fruit. "Seems to be a spread," she answered Professor BonBon cheerfully enough though, turning over the quarter of a pomegranate she extracted from the fruit and gently tapping it with her knife. Seeds fell onto her plate, and she moved them to the side to make room for a few pieces of ham and some roasted potatoes.
"I'm excited to be here. I'll be the first in my family to go to Hogwarts. Mum will be especially happy I'm in Hufflepuff, though she's a muggle, she's read more about this school than me and Dad combined." She scooped up some pomegranate seeds onto a spoon. She recalled her family for a moment, her parents and the three plump cats who loved to lounge in front of the bookshelves and hearth that was always blazing with a warm fire.
Call it a coincidence but by golly, I'm going to run with it!

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Nathan looked around as he walked slowly over to the Hufflepuff table. upon sitting down he was warmly welcomed to Hogwarts by his fellow students. He smiled as they chatted explaining the school to him which he found to be interesting. Upon the final student to be sorted food appeared across the gigantic table everything you imagined was there, he began filling his plate and eating being very quiet.
Well at least my classmates are very kind I shouldn't have to worry about too much. He thinks to himself as he continues eating and chatting with a few students as they discuss each other's hobbies. When it came time for Nathan to explain his no one at the table knew what he was speaking about. Nathan pulled out a small Warhammer 40k Space Marine figurine he had been working on on the train the armor on it was black in color, with yellow detail, and a silver trim the other students who were close to him leaned in to look at it passing the small figurine around. It made its way around back to Nathan who then pocketed the figurine and smiled he hadn't ever shown anyone his work on figurines before aside from his parents of course.
Wow they really seemed to find what I do to be interesting even though it's not something magical how peculiar? he thought to himself as the banquet continued he showed a few more figurines and smiled as each one would put the small group in awe at the intricate and complex paint jobs on each figure.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Evelyne walked over to the hufflepuff table in slight shock, her arms crossed over her chest and her head down. Glancing around the table filled with students wearing black and yellow robes she spotted an open spot in a rather empty area. She put on a smile and walked swiftly to it, sitting down alone. She watched as the rest of the students got sorted, clapping with the rest of the table whenever someone got sorted into hufflepuff. When everyone was sorted food appeared onto the table and she happily started eating.
She glanced down the table, looking at all her housemates. Hufflepuff certainly wasn’t where she thought she’d end up. At least they’re nice... maybe I’ll get along with them! she smiled, taking a bite out of an apple. After she ate for a while in silence she pulled out her diary, opening it to the nearest black page, The sorting ceremony... I can’t believe I got hufflepuff...She pulled her pen out and started writing about her first day in the book, perfect handwriting as usual.
I hope mom’s happy with Hufflepuff... I know she was hoping for ravenclaw... but she did say that as long as I wasn’t in the ‘evil green snake house’ she’d be ecstatic. she laughed to herself recalling her mother’s nickname for the Slytherin. I bet the slytherin are nice. At least they can’t be as bad as what she thinks.
Evelyne looked down the table once more, looking at all the excited Hufflepuff. Maybe this year wont be to bad...

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Hearing and reading tales of Hogwarts was all well and good. But seeing it for herself and entering it was even better that what she ever imagined growing up. The floating candled above the future student's heads was a breath-taking, jaw dropping sight for the young girl. This was what her dreams were made of. Then again, not even her dreams could ever be this grand! Following the commands of the professor and going through the sorting hat ceremony, the young girl had no time to really fret about which house she would be placed in. Her father was a muggle, but she would like to believe he would have been a Hufflepuff. Indeed, that was where she got her loyalty and kindness. Her mother was a proud Ravenclaw back in her day. Seeing as she was incredibly smart and loved knowledge, it made sense to the girl. Because of that, there was no inner qualm about what house she wanted to be in. Her identity would unravel more once she was placed in a house the Sorting Hat deemed was her place.
"Hufflepuff!" And with it's judgement passed, Thea clutched her book to the side and gladly hopped off the stool to the sound of cheers and clapping. It was hard not to display a genuine smile for all to see. Though she loved to read and learn, the hat must heave thought Thea's better qualities of loyalty and compassion was better suited for Hufflepuff.
Making her way to the middle of the long table, the dark haired girl hoped she picked the best spot to make hopeful friends. She flashed another genuine smile, "Hello! I'm glad to be a part of Hufflepuff for the next seven years!" The food before her looked beyond appetizing. She gracefully grabbed for a chocolate treacle tart. Biting down, it was instantly palatable and mouth watering. Her eyes closed due to the joy that was happening in her mouth. "Mmm, delicious," she murmured herself, not realizing she spoke out loud.
