The phrase ticking time bomb was perfectly apt for the situation, as the kid did exactly what the name suggested, he blew. Less explosively and more with a diffindo Elena screeched out of the way of on instinct, that was bloody close. Rowan took control of the situation with ease, screaming at Aurelia and using the periculum charm, at least it looked that way from the bright red light filling the room. Good choice. A bunch of the other kids seemed to have roughly no survival instincts or idea what to do, luckily Elena did. Unluckily for them, Elena's idea of survival was get your friends out and don't look back.

Elena let out a colourful enough string of words to turn the air blue, she'd been learning to swear recently and now fully understood what it felt like. One of the injured ones had launched themselves at Kaegen, screaming, bad plan for her and the collateral damage would be the entire bathrooms. Elena was small, not exactly strong but she had enough adrenaline pumping through her veins to lift a car, so she ran, not even being careful to avoid the broken glass and grabbed Rowan on the way past. Dragging them both out of the abandoned toilets and into the corridors, she almost closed and locked the door behind them but realised Rowan may not like that idea.

They had to go somewhere safe, where was safe? Defence Against the Dark Arts was one floor down, but the teacher may not be there, trapping them inside a classroom. Dorms? Good plan, Kaegen couldn't follow them into their respective dorms, but then they'd get split up, opposite ends of the castle and all. Stables? Yes, Griffith was in the stables, but still they'd have to go quite a way, and that would mean Griffith could be in danger, not the stables.

"Dorms or DADA?" Elena narrowed down the options quickly, hoping for an answer before the crazy kid made his way out of the bathroom.

Panic, he could hear the panic everywhere. People shouting, screaming, trying to escape. Escape from him. He held the cards, he was in charge, he was the one with the power. The predator. The rest were prey, were frightened rabbits fleeing from a fox. Trying in their own cute little rabbit way to escape. There was a flash of red light, periculum. Someone was calling for help. It didn't matter much, he shot it out the window. There would have to be a professor wandering the yards or looking out their window at just the right time to see something like that.

But he'd have to wrap up, just in case. It was at that moment that a wand, but no head, poked in and someone cast a spell. Without aiming. From around a corner. He sort of just stood there as the spell missed entirely. That was pathetic. Too scared to get a clear shot, too scared to be of any use in a fight. They were all useless and he wasn't exactly happy about it. How was it that they were allowed to survive? Why did he have to try so hard while they just got a free pass. They must have just gotten a free pass, how else would they still be here?

A girl then lunged at him, telling him he couldn't hurt anyone else, saying he owed them an explanation. He didn't owe them anything, least of all an explanation. As the first hand connected with his face, the rest of his normal eyes vanished behind the curtain of expanding black, His grin remained plastered to his face as he waited for a careless slap or punch. That wasn't hard, there were plenty of them coming in. He jerked his head to the side and bit down hard on the hand, fangs puncturing to their base.

And then he took the hand that was holding the knife, and shot it forward, straight for the girl's gut. There was no way she could dodge, unless some kind of miracle intervened. He was only a foot away, after all. And he had just bitten her hand. He didn't hold his bite, but quickly let go.

"I don't owe you anything"

As the other girl ran out, Kaegen shoved the girl away from him, and readied himself. He'd like to see what was coming next before he made his exit. He wanted to eat, he was hungry. But the Dhampiric blood hadn't taken full hold. Kaegen was too happy, too on top of the world, drunk on sleeplessness and mania. He could still think, a little. Just not very well.

Donny was just outside the door, realizing that his spell had just missed, when he heard a bunch of screaming, and slapping. He looked around the corner, and in the corner of his eye, he saw the girl who was injured, off the ground and standing a foot away in pain as The Psychopathic Freak flung forward, what looked like a knife glinting under his sleeve. It was almost instinctual. He ran forward at the boy "Kaegen" and ran at full speed to the side of him, pinning him to the floor with rage and fear of the knife possibly going into his gut.

He slammed his body down hard, his hand clasped tightly around Kaegen's throat, his eyes full of raging tears, and his face red. Donny tried hard to take the knife out of Kaegen's hands, but his grip was too good.  The room, once cold, was hot and readily full of tension. Donny used his hands, careful not to let go, and decked him clear in his mouth. "Stop!" he yelled, his voice pitchy with fear, anger, and a mix of other emotions that he couldn't currently explain. He challenged his mind, thinking of all the people who had ever teased him, bullied him, hurt him. He wouldn't let go all the same, trying to stay angered and strong...

“Elena I swear to all the gods above and below-“

Rowan growled at first. Fine. Fine. They were running. He reached over and unlocked the door. Survivors would need to get out, and he wasn’t about to lock those innocent kids in there with crazy.

Options options options... DADA was one floor down... Dorms were safer though. Crazy didn’t know the back halls Rowan used to get around too. They could stick together in DADA. What was safer. Which could save the kids in that room?

“DADA. Follow me though. I can’t navigate stairs, and my route will be faster and safer. We’re getting help too though, not just making ourselves safe.”

He refused- absolutely refused- to leave them there to get hurt- or possibly die. Rowan rolled down the hall, in the exact opposite way of the stairs, counting the banners, before he reached the sixteenth.

He thrust his hand behind it, pushing it aside before he rolled into the hall hidden hallway, ignoring the trash and leaves and whatnot on the floor. These halls were both misused and rarely used. Except by Rowan. The DADA classroom was just down the hall, with two lefts and three rights.

He knocked harshly on the door when he reached the classroom.

Warning Blood
Listen, just Listen. But Rowan, the gryffindor she thought she could trust would not. She was trying to get everything in order, help those that needed to be help, she had authority over them yet they choose not to listen. To rebel, making things so much more complicated as she was trying her best to be a good prefect when she had not even had a few weeks of experience. The hurt boy, gripped her arm most likely for support, Aurelia though reluctant to let her clean robes robes stained with his own blood did not flinch instead steadied him upright, afraid that he might fall back down again and hurt himself once more. It was not only Rowan, this boy too, refused to listen to her, filled witht he need for revenge.

"Please, you need to get he-" Before she had finished her sentence, she heard a spell called out. Diffindo. Followed by the sudden unbearable pain on the other arm that the boy was not holding on to. The stinging, burning feeling like acid had been poured right into the flesh. Aurelia fought the urge to look down at where the spell had hit her, afraid of what a gruesome sight she might see. All she felt was the pain. No, Aurelia had to focus, there were others hurt, she was a prefect, her duty was to the school, the safety of the school. All she did was use her other hand to apply pressure on it to stop the bleeding, convincing herself that the cut was no deeper than a cat scratch. But of course, a wound caused by a diffindo spell would be far worse than that.

Her head was spinning, the ground, tilting, her vision cloudy. She could not feel the rest of her injured arm elbow down but the throbbing pain. The shout and screams were not helping at all. Then a flash of red light. More spells? It only add on to the already overwhelming chaos and panic. Then there was Rowan, running out of the room and followed by a girl with a head of bright blue hair. Elena? The Slytherin prefect, darting from the room, running away from her duties. Aurelia tried. She tried but they had not listen. She open her mouth, to tell the rest in the room to calm down, however had only managed a breath of air in an all most inaudible whisper, "Stop," She wanted everything to stop, the screams, the pain, all of them.

Then nausea took her, she crumpled to the ground. That is when she noticed the blood and her arm, the small bit of white, the spell had cut into her bone. The screaming, only then she realised, she was the one screaming. Aurelia laid on the ground. In rate she was bleeding, she was going to die from blood loss very soon if she didn’t get help. However, it seemed to late for that, she could barely move. She could only hear the thundering beats of her heart against her ear as her consciousness slipped away. The world around her faded into oblivion. Everything stopped.

She had found a little notebook. And as she leafed through it, she found that it was a book of death. Of poison. Of tricks and murder. In fact, it did have a few things in it that she would absolutely love to take home, but she... she really couldn't... Or could she?

The girl wore a light jacket over her school uniform; she had left the robes in the Slytherin Common Room. The jacket had pockets, which would be exceptionally useful for hiding a book of bombs. Koko, the girl, tucked the book in her pocket. It had fallen right outside the door to the Abandoned Toilets, a place where the child had been going recently. She stepped inside when she heard a loud noise, one reminiscent of an explosion.

An explosion it was. A Ravenclaw who wasn't in Koko's year was lying on the ground, but now he seemed fine. He introduced himself as Kaegen Deathmote, a name that the Slytherin had heard around Hogwarts. She then saw a Hufflepuff she didn't know, and a Gryff that she'd seen in this room before. He left before she could say anything. The Hufflepuff was bleeding--fit for one of those cowards. She'd even bet that he was a mudblood!

Koko slid her hand into the pocket with the book sticking out, making sure her hand covered it. It probably belonged to someone in this room, and she didn't really want anyone to know she had it. From her other pocket, Koko drew her wand, knowing that she could at least try to fight her way out of this if she had to. Because the mirrors were broken, she supposed she could always take glass from those if she had to, but she had learned the hard way that glass could cut your hands badly. "Hello," whispered the Slytherin, keeping her voice low. Her golden eyes glittered with distrust as she glanced at the people in the room. Elena Jones was the only person she knew, and she didn't know the other Slytherin well. "May I ask what's going on here?"

A Gryffindor passed out in front of her, making her jump back, her shoulder hitting the door. It didn't really hurt much, but it did stun her for a moment. She still kept a wary eye on the Ravenclaw, who seemed like he might be the most trouble. In fact, Koko noticed that the Gryffindor was a prefect. She cursed under her breath at the situation she'd gotten herself into.

All right, the post was shabby at best, and it was certainly late. I meant to join the thread immediately and found that I was too busy to type up any replies to anything. They'll still be delayed for a week or two as I get back on schedule. Sorry about that...

He was having a marvelous time. It was funny how they kept trying to hurt him with their little hands. Bony knuckles and cartilage so perfectly coated with soft, smooth skin. It was like covering a rock in a pillow before you used it to hit someone. A boy tried to push the girl off of him before he was able to stab the girl, and in a sense it did help. He was only able to slicer her across the midsection. Deep, but not fatal. And not as bad as it would have been if the boy hadn't interfered. But he was thinking with his fury and wrath, Kaegen was running on hunger. Ferocious hunger tempered with that little bit of paranoia that still fought it's way to the surface of his mind.

When the wild punch came for his mouth, he simply opened his mouth, and then bit down hard on the fist. What had the boy been thinking, aiming for his mouth? His fangs were insanely sharp, and his teeth unnaturally strong. They were not tools used to eat, like those belonging to a normal wizard. They were weapons. Maybe not the longest around, but plenty long enough to deal a substantial amount of damage to the boy's fist.

At first it seemed like the boy had a plan. He had tried to choke Kaegen out, which really wasn't working well considering how much soft fluffy scarf and cape material was shielding his throat. But at least it sort of constricted his airway. Not enough to hinder much, but it was certainly an obstacle. While the boy had been trying to choke him through the scarf, he had also been trying to hold down Kae's knife. He had originally been planning, as soon as he felt the other boy's hand close on his, to simply stab him in the side with his wand.

But then the boy simply let go of the hand with the knife, only to get that hand bitten. Kae chewed as much as he could, as he took the freed knife hand and stabbed the boy in the side, just below the rib cage. He didn't have a very big knife, but even so unless there was some medical attention coming in fast, the other boy was going to be decidedly un-alive. His mouth released the hand, it wasn't like he had held it for very long. Only a fast bite and about a half second of chewing. He answered the boy's demands for him to stop with a hoarse

"No."

Followed by a huge grin, and a simple spell he had learned in defense against the dark arts.

"Flippendo"

If the boy was knocked back, Kaegen would slide under the stall wall to avoid running in to anyone else, and leap out the window. One girl slashed, one girl magically slashed, one boy stabbed. And he had only sustained a few bruises. If he did manage to escape out the window, and if anyone was able to look and see where he went, they would see the boy laying on his back, flying away to the grounds, coughing and laughing.

Donny lay there, on the ground, blood pouring like a waterfall out of his sides, arms, and head. He was knocked back into the wall, knocking him out for a slight second or two until he came back into a foggy, painful present. He cried, cried hard and silent with pain as the boy tried to leap out of the window, god knows where and why. There were three people on the floor, all with severed arms, torsos, stomachs. The prefect girl lay there knocked out. Was she dead? Donny could only cry and hope she was just knocked out. The other girl was curled up against a stall, hands over her severed front as she cried in pain.

Why? Why of all things did this happen? He could taste iron in his mouth, and he then noticed the wound in his hand that evil boy had bitten. It was bleeding only slightly but it was black and blue with bruises. His mind was getting darker. All he wanted for that evil boy was for him to be as injured as the rest or worse. If he could have, he'd have taken the knife from him and severed Kaegen's arm, his torso and his sides. Donny felt like he was dying, like he would soon see the light of the heavens. He would lay there, dying at least until someone could retrieve him, and his friends bodies. He looked down once more at his cuts, and in an instant he was out.

Elena flinched at Rowan's growl, the thought that perhaps she should've left him inside crossed her mind for part of a second, then was quickly disposed of. Gryffindors were brave, that made sense, but Slytherins were cunning and Elena knew when it was time to run and take everyone that mattered with you. Rowan mattered, so she'd pulled him out of that room and damned the consequences.

Luckily Rowan gave up and moved down the corridor before opening a secret passageway. A Secret Passageway, how cool is that? Elena nodded, "You got it, whatever you say."

Well, the Gryffindor was in charge now, so Elena followed him at a relatively close distance, taking one last look out the door, she saw Koko Riddle entering and yelled her a warning, "Get outta there! Now!"

Then the passage slid shut behind the duo and Elena followed him through, she wondered if these were visible on the marauders map now she knew about them, but decided she'd look later. Now was not the time to look at random things, unless she could use it to see who was in the room... that would be a good idea.

Rowan knocked on the door, and Elena waited for something to happen.

As soon as he saw the knife, Lamik knew that he had to pull her away. Obviously he had wanted to do it the moment she lunged at Kaegen- He was obviously dangerous and she could barely stand. The knife was what made the first year jump into action though. Lamik Got on his feet and grabbed at her arm, pulling back with all his strength. He kept pulling, out the door and into the hallway, doing his best to ignore her punching and thrashing.

"I told you that we needed to get out of there!"

Only then did he notice the knife wound. While it was definitely not as bad as it could have been, the bleeding gash in the girls side made the glass dotting her legs seem like nothing more then a thorn. How she wasn't aware of it, Lamik didn't know. All that was obvious is that they needed to get help, but he couldn't get her anywhere if she kept doing.... Whatever she was doing.

"Help!"

Lamik called out as loud as he could, hoping that somebody was near enough to hear his cries. Getting no response, he called again before turning to the girl.

"Calm down! He isn't here!"

me and Mari agreed through owls that Lamik was the one who pulled her back. Sorry for the late reply!
