A Great Opening Closed

Opening one of the many books she had unhinged from their places, you could see the female's hunger for something, like a vampire who needed blood. well, okay that was a little overly dramatic, seeing as the female was a bit more charming than that, but you could see the despiration in her eye as she took a pen and wrote down something from the text, onto the journal right next to her. muttering under her breath, you could hear some words, even sentences if you tried hard enough to understand. "Scurvy grass".. "clockwise". as she scrawled through her notes, every once in a while, her face would turn red in anger, or frustration, who knew what, and she would take it out on the paper, crushing it into the form of a ball a whipping it at the ground. Sometimes, she'd scribble so hard, you could clearly see the strain on her hand as it turned ghostly white from gripping it so hard. what was this female trying to do exactly. well, she was trying to concoct a new potion, although she'd never try it, seeing as it was dangerous, but she did find it a good use of time. She had always found a love in potions, as well as invention, creating something new. she was currently taking bit's from the "Befuddlement Draught" potion, believing it's properties could be reformed, and used as the opposite, causing the taker to possible become rather than "Befuddled", to instead inhabit a sort of clarity, a less potent, but still efficient and more accessible way to create something akin to the "Wit-Sharpening Potion". The females eye's seemed red, and bag's could be found beneath her golden-brown eye's, along with a very bad hair day. her clothes were all wrecked, having stains from coffee in some spots, and crumbs all on her skirt, where they had fallen after eating a delicious apple-crumble. Some would say she was experiencing a bad case of a "hangover", other's would say she was too busy having a stick up her rear to sleep. but for her it was none of the thing's people assumed, something she'd never tell a living soul. she was afraid of the dark, even more so of the nightmare's that awaited her in the long hours asleep. sometime's she awaken, sweat-soaked and gasping for air, in more cases than not, puking with no idea where she was. She hoped that she'd find something, that would clear her head, give her a new perspective, and help her conquer the battle's that waited in the darkness, a way to finally sleep without fear for what was to come. And so, she continued her frantic reading, looking for spells and ingredients, that might possible create what she was looking for. Although only a first year, he mother had given her an affinity in potions and herbalism advancing her knowledge on the topic's she read, and also, making her to top of potions class. but she never liked following rules, and on that note, never following instructions to a T, even if her way was easier, making her always an "almost" in her classes and not "The Best"
