Alyssea was too stunned to speak. No, literally. She stood there with her mouth agape and eyes wide as Zach cleared the bubbles from the courtyard. She would've helped him clear them if she still wasn't trying to process what he just saw.

Whatever happened in that duel was not a fluke or a stroke of luck. Somehow, those heels were lucky, or gave an evasion boost, whichever you preferred. She was also relieved his ankles were safe. A rolled, sprained, or broken ankle was not a fun time and the nurse probably had enough injuries to deal with already.

Having been asked if they were enchanted, Alyssea raised an eyebrow while shaking her head. "I don't think they are? I just brought them from home for formal events. I misplaced my sneakers on the day of our duel, though, so that's why I wore them." She internally cringed thinking of that moment. Hopefully that wouldn't happen during the official matches; her ankles would be anything but safe.

But honestly, charmed heels were a better answer than what they had just now, which was nothing. Her brain was blank. "Is there a way to check if there's spells on it? I don't think we've learned the spell, yet."

Zach nodded in response to the girl. "So that's why you wore it for our duel," he giggled upon knowing this fact. Although he thought it was a silly reason, he remembered the outcome when she wore it. It wasn't bad, as she was able to evade most of the spells, not to mention today's test on them.

Zach searched for his shoes and found them near the spot where they had met earlier. Not wearing shoes made this pale boy feel slightly uncomfortable. He picked up the shoes and brought them closer to Alyssea so he could hear her better.

"A way to check it?" he asked while putting on his shoes. He seemed to struggle a bit, but eventually managed to wear them. "Yeah, we still have no spell to check it yet," he shook his head. Then the boy stood up with his feet comfortably in his shoes. "Uh... I don't know. What about asking a professor?" Asking a professor seemed like the best answer Zach could give, even though he hadn't been close to any professor yet. He was the type of boy who was very awkward around anyone, especially adults. If he didn't have to ask about something he didn't understand in class, he would leave the classroom first. However, it might be different for Alyssea. Perhaps she was close to a professor.

She figured they hadn't learned anything of the sort yet. Bummer. Whether the heels were enchanted or not would have to be a discovery for another day. As for knowing a professor, Alyssea shook her head. "I'm not close with any professors. I've only recently spoken to Professor Lennox because I'm working on running the History of Magic Club, so I need her classroom and her permission."

The idea that she was a club leader was still somewhat surreal, although she figured it might be short-lived depending on how popular it was. It wasn't a class that was widely enjoyed, so she hoped she would meet more history lovers with it.

That is, if it ever made it past its first meeting.

"What about you?" Alyssea asked, "Are you close with any of the professors?"

Once she'd heard his response, they lulled into a somewhat awkward silence. Well, the purpose of their meeting had been conducted and extra and there wasn't exactly much else to do or talk about. The heels test had been an interesting plot twist to this little meeting. Maybe when they were older, they'd figure out if there were enchantments on them.

An idea popped into her head. "What if I wore them to an official duel? Since the first stage will commence soon, it might be a chance to see if they really do have a boost? You know, check it wasn't a fluke."

She immediately retracted the idea from her head now that she'd said it out loud. That was going to be a hard 'no'. "Okay, maybe not the first stage, but maybe stage two? In the winter?"

"Uhuh... I see." The boy nodded. He just knew that Alyssea ran the History of Magic Club. One more thing he learnt from Alyssea. She liked history.

"Uh... I am actually not close with any professor," Zach said awkwardly. "But I also get the permission to use the greenhouse from Professor McLoughlin for Dittany's Leaves." The idea of having a club was just very random for him. He woke up and got this idea in the morning before school even started. Then he proceeded to list anything he might need for this club, asked permission from Professor McLoughlin to use the greenhouse, and consulted everything with her. He eventually did that. This boy. This introverted boy.

After he responded, both of them were in silence. Zach was used to silence and awkwardness like it was his daily meal. Then he looked at Alyssea as she started to open the topic again. She wanted to wear it again for the official duel? Really?! Zach didn't believe at what he heard just now. The boy chuckled in disbelief. "You really mean that?" He sighed after his chuckle. "Maybe you can try to wear it in the duel. It's still our hypothesis that your heels might give an evasion boost. But still, it's dangerous. I can't even walk on it!" He looked at his own feet, feeling the "aftertaste" sensation of the heels.

The pale boy looked at the sky, wondering what time is it. How much time he had spent. What he would do after his meeting with Alyssea. His mind was wandering for some seconds. "Anyways... Do you have any plan after this?"

Alyssea's eyes widened with awe. Zach was running a club now, too? Their similarities were almost uncanny. "Dittany's Leaves is an awesome name for a club! Do you guys do herbology stuff? Take care of the greenhouse plants?"

His club name was much more interesting than her own. Her club name was functional and not for the aesthetics, which was great but also boring. When her club members would meet up this Wednesday and people asked where they would be going, the History of Magic Club didn't sound that interesting, did it? But Dittany's Leaves was cute. Gosh, she needed some more creativity in her life.

Hearing him encourage her suggestion of wearing heels to an official duel surprised her. She chuckled at his concern (all valid)."Yeah, probably not a good idea. Winter duels it is, then. Have some time to work on other things before that."

Regaining her ankle strength would be top of the list if she was looking to seriously duel in heels. But she also had to work on learning more spells, perfecting them, and doing some target and combo practice. Luckily, the Duelling Club had training dummies she could work on.

Alyssea shook her head. "No plans. Might head to Hufflepuff and just do my homework there before dinner. After dinner, I'll just go back," she said, "What about you?"

An excitement could be seen in his eyes. "Yes! We plant and take care of it. And no, we don't take care of the plants in the greenhouse. You know, some plants can't be taken care of by lower years due to their danger," he said. The boy continued, "It's also for my study..." he lowered his voice "about healing magic." It was his passion, but shyness surged from his chest to his face. Talking about his aspiration was just this awkward.

Hearing that Alyssea planned to wear her heals in the Winter Game, Zach just smiled. He wondered who would face her. "Uhuh..." he nodded, "Just be careful when wearing them."

Zach once again nodded. "Me?" The boy really didn't know what to do to spend his day after this. Great Like might be a great choice but he didn't feel like he want to go there. Doing homework? Nope. Ew. "I... Uh... Maybe I will take a walk around here. I really don't have any plans yet." Maybe he could find something interesting in his walk. "But I will come back to Ravenclaw first to put your gift. Hehe. Thank you, Alyssea." Zach hold the shirt, looking at the stars on it. "Then, let's go back to inside together?"
