It's 4 o'clock on Saturday, February 3rd, and Tracey decided to leave the castle and common room and go for a walk. Once she had fed Tiger, the two left the common room and made their way down to the Entrance Hall. By the time they got to the Courtyard's it was 4:30. Turns out it had taken them 30 minutes to get down to the courtyard, but then again, they did come all the way from the West Tower.
"Where should we go first, Tiger?" Tracey asks.
Hearing what Tracey had asked, Tiger started walking in a random direction, and Tracey followed him, since she didn't want to lose her little kitten. But, somehow, Tracey had indeed lost Tiger. Which made her very confused, since one moment, he was in front of her, and the next he was gone, and she hadn't even taken her attention off of him.
"Where'd he go?" Tracey thought.
She began walking around the courtyard trying to find Tiger, until she saw him with another girl. Tracey ran over to the two of them and looked at the girl. Tracey had a feeling she had seen the girl before, but she didn't remember. Tracey then said,
"Oh my god, I don't know what I was going to do if I had lost him. Uh, I'm Tracey Bailey, and this is Tiger,"

Emiline had decided to go for a walk. She was bored and she needed to stretch her legs. She wandered alone all the way through the corridors. She knew it was around 4:20 ish because the common room had been deserted everyone else was doing their own thing. Before she knew it, she was in the courtyard. Emiline couldn't wait to do some people watching. For some reason, Emiline found watching people from afar amusing. What Emiline would try and do, would be to guess the kind of conversation the students would be having from their body language and their facial expressions. She was about to sit down when an orange cat came up to her. Emiline squatted down to the cat's level. Awww, this cat it adorable. she thought Where is her owner though?and as if Emiline's thought had conjured her out of the air, the owner had appeared. Emiline stood quickly and noticed her long blonde hair and brown eyes. The girl spoke in a sort of stressed tone. She introduced herself as Tracey and the cat as Tiger. Emiline chuckled. "That's such a cute name to name your cat." She held out her hand and said "Hi Tracey, I'm Emiline but you
can call me Em." Em lent down to stroke Tiger but then realised Tracey might want people to ask first. "Is it ok if i touch Tiger, he looks really soft?

After she had spoke, she heard the girl speak and also introduce herself as Emiline, and immediately, Tracey thought it was a very pretty name. She smiled at Emiline and says,
"Nice to meet you too, Em! Aw, thanks. Doesn't he look like a Tiger? Yes, of course you can touch him. He actually loves people, right?"
Tiger meowed agreeing with what Tracey had said. Tiger even went closer to Emiline so she could pet him, and Tracey just watched happily.
"Em, we have some classes together, right?" Tracey randomly asked.
She asked this since she realized that she had seen Emiline somewhere before, but couldn't pin point where she had actually seen the girl before, so she assumed that they have some classes together. Tiger tilted his head at the two girls in confusion since he had no idea what was happening, and he meowed in confusion making Tracey giggle and Tiger's cuteness. Even tho she had got him before coming to Hogwarts, she fell in love with him at first sight and was glad that her parents allowed her to get him as her pet and friend to bring to Hogwarts.
"Oh, Em, d'you have a pet? If not, are you gonna get one?" Tracey asks randomly.

Emiline smiled “Yes, he looks so much like a tiger with those stripes he also seems so friendly compared to other cats i know.” She answered. She remembered a cat she had met and she had gone to stoke it but it had scratched her. Emiline rubbed her left forearm in memory. shethen petted Tiger by stroking him head to tail, and giving him a small tickle behind the ear. “Yep. I have definitely seen you in some of my classes. What’s your fav one? Mine is definitely a tie between flying and DADA.”



There was a moment of pause while Tracey pulled a confused face, but Emiline didn’t see she was too busy petting the cat. And through the silence Tiger meowed. She burst out laughing because Tiger chose just the right time to meow to break the ice. Emiline watched the way Tiger moved, the art of the cat. They can be so delicate but so fierce at the same time. It always made Emiline ponder the thought. (Sometimes it would help her with her people watching. If they act fierce then they might be feeling threatened but if they act scared they might by wanting to be left alone. GOSH , animals are so much easier to read than people. If i am annoying them they will just walk off but they are interested they will come closer and be more snug with you.)



Emiline stood up, and Tracey asked if she had a pet and if she was going to get a pet. Emiline grinned. “YES! Sorry. I am getting a pet in my second year because my parents are going to send me money in the post. I’m still undecided on whether to get an owl or a cat. An owl will be useful, but a cat will be super cute and friendly. What do you think Tracey?”

Tracey smiled back at Emiline, and when Tiger felt him getting pet from head to tail, he purred happily, enjoying the petting he was getting, it was like a massage to him!
"Oh, did you get scratched by one? Tiger is really nice, he loves all people and all types of animals! I actually had almost gotten bitten by an owl on the day I had gotten Tiger, but luckily, I didn't get bitten," Tracey says.
She had a feeling Emiline had gotten scratched, since she had rubbed her left forearm, which symbolized to Tracey, that Emiline was remembering a memory. When she heard Emiline speaking about classes, Tracey had to think about what he favorite class was, then she said,
"Those are good classes. For me, Herbology, Charms, and Potions. But I also love Flying and DADA,"
It was really hard for Tracey to pick one class to be her favorite, but History of Magic was definitely her least favorite class. This was because she had nearly fell asleep a lot of times while in that class, but she tried her best in that class. Tracey heard Emiline laugh cause Tiger had meowed at the right moment, since it was silent. When she heard Emiline's reply to her question, Tracey began thinking of which pet would be good for her, then said,
"Ah ok. Owl is a good choice as well as cat. Honestly, I was thinking of getting an owl, but I had almost gotten bitten, so I chose a cat instead. The cats are very cute and so are the owls. Honestly, you can go with which every you want, since it's your pet, but if you ask me, I'd say a cat, cause then you can take it everywhere with you,"

Emiline smiled when Tracey asked is if she got scratched by a cat. "Yep, London cats do not like me, they are really quiet fierce."She then listened to Tracey talk about getting Tiger and how an owl almost bit her. "Ooh, I do not have your luck, I would have gotten bitten by that owl and it would probably on another cut...." Emiline laughed at herself. She paused to think and Tracey replied with what her favourite lessons were. Potions.Potions! How does she like potions? She thought.

"I am probably going to get a cat once I save up enough money for one. I mean my birthday is sort of soon isn't it so i guess i'll wait till then. But I do keep going into the shop just to watch and play with the cats though. They are all super fluffy and cute. How anyone can not like cats is beyond me. HOW?!" She paused and her face went into a deep thought. Emiline was wondering if she should invite Tracey to the library because that was why she had left the common room in the first place. We have only just met each other, but she might want to tag along. She'll have other stuff to do, or not, we don't know that The voice in her head argued with her. After a minute, Emiline decided. "Tracey..."she ventured, "I was going to go to the library, do you want to come along?"she questioned "That is, if you're not busy of course." she laughed half heartedly. Wow.... Even i couldn't have made you sound any more lame. Well done. The voice jeered in her head.Shut up you. She told it.

When she heard Emiline answer her questions, she nodded in agreement. Tho, when she was in London, she hadn't gotten scratched by a cat, or any pet, probably because animals love her, but it was a great shock for her when she was about to get bitten by an owl, since she thought all animals love her, but now she realizes that not all animals love Tracey, and she's ok with that. She snapped out of her thoughts and said,
"I haven't been scratched by any animal, even when I was in London. But my father and grandparents would sometimes, and so I agree with you on that. Oh, well, hopefully that doesn't happen. I don't think the owls here are going to bite any of us, right?"
After she had said that, she then heard Emiline speak again. Emiline said that she will get a cat, and Tracey smiled. She knows Tiger would love to be friends with Emiline's pet, so she said,
"That is true. Honestly, at my old school, I had met someone that's afraid of cats and someone that was allergic to them, and I honestly thought it was impossible, but apparently it isn't. Oh, that's a good idea! When's your birthday? Mine is April 1,"
Tracey wasn't sure why she had mentioned her own birthday, but then again, it's good if friends knows each other's birthdays so they can send each other gifts. She heard Emiline ask if she wanted to go to the library with her, and Tracey nodded before saying,
"Sure. I'll be bringing Tiger with me, since he's already here. That ok with you?"

Emiline laughed when Tracey questioned if the school owls would bite them. “No, I don’t think we need to worry about that! They have been far too well trained to bite us.” She then saw her friend smile when she said she was thinking of getting a cat. There was then a small pause that Emiline would have found awkward around anyone she wasn’t comfortable with, but Emiline didn’t feel the need to fill the silence. Tracey talked about people being allergic to cats and frightened of them. Emiline then chuckled; How could someone be afraid of a cat?!She thought.



Tracey asked when her birthday was. Emiline replied "My birthday is the 18th of March. It’s coming up, I'm really excited! Hopefully my parents will send me some money through the post so i can buy my cat.” She paused. “I’m thinking of naming it Midnight if they have a black coat, yes that name is a bit stereotypical but i love that name. But if it has a lighter coat maybe Sandstorm or Frostfur. I’m not sure yet. But isn’t half the fun of getting a pet, naming it?” She paused again. “Right..... to the library, let’s go!” Emiline said in a playful tone. She then turned towards the castle and started walking. Hoping that Tracey wasn’t far behind.

Tracey smiled upon hearing Emiline's comment, what she had stated was indeed true, the school owls had indeed been trained well, but she was just wondering, but also knew it was a stupid question to ask, but then again, sometimes people tend to ask stupid questions if they really want to know what the answer they'll receive is. She snapped out of her thoughts before saying,
"Yes, that's true. I actually didn't realize that they have been trained, I guess the thought had just slipped from my mind, but it would've been terrible, if the owls weren't trained, we'd have gotten bitten!"
That again, was a statement she knew could've happened, but still wanted to point it out to her new friend, just in case her friend didn't think of it like that. Because there could've been a point in time where the owls weren't trained and they had actually bitten some students or even professors! Tracey smiled brightly at her friend and when she heard her speaking, her smile brighten even more. Tracey giggled slightly before saying,
"Oh wow, happy early birthday! Ah, that is true, naming the pet you get is always fun! If I remember correctly, they had red tabbies, a black cat, a really fluffy cat, and other types of cats, as well as other types of pets as well. Ah, yes, let's go to the library!"
Tracey then followed her friend to the library and Tiger had to run after the girls, otherwise he'd get left behind! And he didn't want to get left behind, cause he wanted to hangout with Tracey's new friend too!
