15:00Healing magic. It was one of his interests when studying at Hogwarts. Well, there was no subject that was explicitly named ‘Healing Magic’, ‘Medicinal Magic’, or something else, but some subjects taught the students about it. One of the subjects was Potions. Zach had started to seriously learn and make some healing potions from his late first year. And now, on this cold Saturday, he planned to make a healing potion. It was not a potion that healed physically. It was more mental. It was Calming Draught.
The boy put all the spare ingredients he had in his trunk into his satchel and went down from Ravenclaw Tower to the Basement, where Potions class was. It was actually a long walk to get there. His body was warm from wearing his Robe of Warmth. However, the cold temperature still stiffened his fingers. The boy sped up his footstep, trotting cutely with his little jump until he arrived in front of the Potions Classroom.
Like what he always did before making potions, he checked the class from the outside to see if the Professor was there. It was the rule and he didn’t want to break it. Luckily, she was there. Zach grinned and entered the classroom.
The boy took out all the ingredients he had from his satchel. He placed them on the table and took all of the equipment he needed. He also took his note and placed it somewhere reachable and readable as his instruction to make the potions as his habit in making them. “Okay. One Calming Draught, let’s do this!”
The boy started to make the first steps happily. In this school full of surprises and dangerous things, Zach found that making potions was a safe thing to engage in. Maybe he was right, but little did he know, there was a possibility that he might be wrong.Mentioning @Sere Nade

Winter is coming, and so are the holidays. Before winter break started, Sere took the time to make her first-ever potion. At least she makes one little development for herself in the potions subject even though Sere doesn't know whether the potion she is going to make today -with almost all kind of the 'first time knowing' ingredients- will actually work.
Huh! I have to really bring back my bag after the winter break. Sere looked at the ingredients for making potions and a roll of parchment she was carrying with struggle in her arms. She had never used a bag since her first time came here and always had to carry her books and stationery in her arms from class to class, but now she realized that she needed a bag for more practical and handy school life.
Sere entered the potions classroom and nodded at the professor, looking into the classroom which is apparently quite quiet. Of course... Only boring people are busy making potion while everyone is busy preparing for their holidays. Just one second of the thought, Sere immediately withdrew it when she saw a black-haired boy with -the only person that Sere knew has- the fox-like onyx eyes, busy with his potion ingredients at one of the table.
Ah, that's him! Of course I'm the only boring person here, not the others. Sere is stepping closer to the boy, greeting briefly "Hi, Zach! It's good to see you here." before passing behind Zach, and taking the table on the right side of the Ravenclaw boy.
Sere placed the jar of ingredients that was in her arms: Fire Whiskey, Bat Spleen, Fire Seeds, and Valerian Root onto the table. She rolled up the sleeves of her white jacket before open the parchment and starts to read, "Dogsbreath Potion. First step..."

15:00Zach heard a footstep entering the Potions classroom. His head looked at the direction of the sound and saw a black-haired girl walked towards him. Oh! It's Sere Nade! It was not hard for him to remember her name. She had such a beautiful and unique name. The girl greeted him first. "Uh... Hello, Sere." The boy gave her a warm smile. The girl passed behind him and took the place on the right side of Zach. He also heard the girl reading her parchment. So she's making the Dogbreath Potion, Zach thought while looking at her for some seconds before he focused again at his potions.
The boy continued his step of brewing the Calming Draught. He also had time to feel disgusted when touching the crocodile's heart. "Ew, ew, ew, ew," he said while chopping the heart into dice shaped. But the disgust ended when it didn't look like a heart anymore. Then he put them into the cauldron. Zach put a high-heat fire under the stove and stirred it once with his pale hand. The boy hummed soulful Hoggy Warty Hogwarts while looking at his note again. He must lower the heat.
However, the boy put too much soul into his hum. Instead of lowering the heat, he managed to make it bigger. "Uh oh..." The fire became so big that the flame prevented him from lowering it. His wand was also near the cauldron and it was hard for him to grab it because it was so hot. The boy started to panic and shout, "Help!"Mentioning @Sere Nade

Ah, wait a minute...
Sere opened the equipment cabinet and started rattling, looking for the utensils needed to make Dogsbreath Potion. She has to prepare it first before start making the potion.
A few moments later, there are utensils such as cutting board, knife, and ladle on the table, plus the protective gloves she took out from her jeans pocket. Sere looked at all the things arranged on the table, nodding in satisfaction. Okay, it's all set! The Gryffindor washes her hands then approaches the cauldron on her table, making sure that it is clean before starts to pour ten fluid ounces of water which become the first step in making Dogsbreath Potion.
"The second step..." Sere stared at a jar with the greyish-pink thingy, I'm gonna hate how it feels. Sere opened the jar and took three bat spleens with her right hand. Hold yourself, Sere! The girl is trying to hide her disgusted expression. Huh? That's... actually fine. Sere raised her eyebrows. Only the fishy smell bothering her, the feeling itself is manageable.
Sere's previously raised eyebrows turned into a frown when she has to cut the spleens. I'm surely terrible at this thing. Sere almost never cooks and her ability is kind of terrifying. Instead of chopping up the spleens according to the instructions, Sere looked more like... mincing it up.
Sere's quite strong sense of smell suddenly caught a reek other than the fishy spleens. Why does the smell of flames waft up here? Sere immediately turned her attention to what she thought as the source of the reek. Just then, she heard Zach panicking and shouting for a help.
“Oh my!” Zach's cauldron is in a flame!
Sere let go of the knife -throwing it onto the cutting board- without taking her eyes off the fire that was growing under Zach's cauldron. Sere flinched in surprise at the pain before hearing the sound of the knife clanging, falling to the floor. Ignoring the stinging sensation from her left index and middle finger, Sere took her wand out, pointed it at Zach's cauldron, and shouted, "Extinguo!"
Immediately, the fire that had been growing under Zach's cauldron is successfully extinguished. Sere lowered her head, wincing in pain while biting her lip. She knows that she is hurt, and only has to confirm it by looking at origin of the sensation.
"Oh right... This hurts." Sere could see that blood was flowing from the knife cut on her left hand's index and middle finger.

15:00The pale couldn't think of anything in his panic. He just shouted for help until the girl near him voiced an Extinguishing Spell, Extinguo. The flame quickly shrunk and then vanished in the air. Zach froze for some seconds before he realized that it was over. The flame was finally extinguished.
He wanted to thank the girl until he saw blood was coming through her fingers. "Oh gosh! Blood! Clean it first in the faucet nearby. I will bring you something that may help you with the cut." He grabbed his satchel, looking for a potion that was useful in this situation. A vial of blue liquid was grabbed from the satchel. "This will do," he said. He brought the vial towards the lion near the faucet.
"Here is Murtlap Essence, good for minor cuts." He said. "Have you cleaned it? Show me, I'll help you apply this potion." He opened the lid of the vial and said, "This might hurt a little." Then he started to pour a little amount of it on the cut.
"Well... I'm sorry for the ruckus I have made. And thank you." Zach was really embarrassed. How could a senior like him freeze when he faced a danger? Not to mention that he was also a duellist. He was so embarrassed by this fact but also thankful that the girl near him had a good reflex and decision-making.Mentioning @Sere Nade

Sere looked up when she heard the Ravenclaw boy's voice: it is an order to clean the wound under the running water. Of course Sere knew that she had to do that, but why did she just stand still like a statue, staring blankly at the bloody fingers?
"Ah, right..." Sere stepped closer to the tap and washed the cut under the running water. The Asian girl bitting inside of her cheek to endure the pain that is coming back. It only took a few seconds until she realized that Zach is already standing beside her with a crystal vial containing dark blue liquid. "I am. I cleaned it."
Sere cleared her throat and looking away. She felt the stinging sensation for the uncounted time when a few drops of the potion are poured onto her fingers. Hearing Zach's explanation about Murtlap Essence apparently helps to shift her attention. "That's interesting." Sere commented after on the boy's the explanation. He seemed quite an expert in this thing. I remember he told me briefly about science fair, basic science, and its relation to Potions subject in the Great Hall back then.
Sere shrugged her shoulders, "No problem. It wasn't a big thing either." Sere thought that Zach could actually handle the fire himself, without needing her help, "And for this..." Sere shook her palm -like doing a 'hello' movement-, "I have to thank you more, Zach... Umm... What's your surname again?" Sere doesn't think that she ever heard Zach's last name. "You seemed to like making potions."
Sere looked at her table, the potion ingredients, and the cut on her left fingers, "How long should I stay still like this?" She has to complete her potion immediately. "Does the Murtlap Essence heal my cut directly? Or will just make it better? Ah... I'm asking too many questions. I'm sorry."

15:00After helping Sere applying the potions on her cut, Zach closed the lid. He smiled at the lioness, a shameful smile really. He was so embarrassed by himself. His mind was wandering until the girl called her name. "Eh? It's Zaphiere. But really, just call me Zach. Calling me Zaphiere will just make me uncomfortable. You know, the feeling when a teacher or professor calls you. Like that." The lad gave her a smile again.
How long should she stay stilllike that? Zach thought for some moments, trying to remember anything from his class. "It should be quick. Do you still feel the pain from the cut? Well, the analgesic properties from Murtlap Essence will soothe the pain." Zach went to his table and looked for anything inside his satchel, something that might help the lass. But no. He couldn't find anything. He should stock some band-aids later when he was home.
The lad palmed his face after saw the mess on his table. "Sigh... I should brew my potions from the start." Then Zach looked at Sere and said, "I think you can continue your brewing. I believe the cut won't be open again. Or perhaps, you still feel the pain?" Zach was curious. His Murtlap Essence should be worked by that time.Mentioning @Sere Nade

So it is Zaphiere. Pretty unique. Never heard anyone with that surname before. Sere saw that Zach could express several different types of smiles in a short time. How could someone give that amount of expressions in a short time? He's quite expressive, I guess. Sere responded to the Ravenclaw boy in front of him by nodding, "Not gonna call you by your surname anyway. I'm just... curious." At the same time, a mischievous intention emerging within herself.
Sere looked at the wound, "The stinging sensation is no longer there." Sere flicking her thumb to her index which was dripped with Murtlap Essence. She raised her eyebrows in satisfaction when the cut is no longer visible, as if it has disappeared with no trace. "The wound has closed completely." Sere shook her head in disbelief, "The greatness of the wizarding world that I still question logically sometimes." The girl is still having a hard time to switch her logic on and off, especially in the magical matters.
"I don't feel the pain at all," the Gryffindor clenched and opened her left palm, "All is good now. Thank you, Mr. Zaphiere." She runs her mischievous intention while rising her brows, her mood is brighten up because the wound has healed. She can continue her business now. "I think we have to go back to our respective activities." The two of them will obviously be more careful about what they're gonna do after this.
With that end of conversation, Sere returned to her station and took a deep breath, giving herself a suggestion by muttering, "There's nothing will go wrong with potion brewing, Sere. Hold yourself, let's fix this mess."
