A Lone Hufflepuff
As the sun began to set on another long day at Hogwarts, a Hufflepuff girl named Amanda sat alone by the fountain in the courtyard, lost in the pages of her favorite book. She had always been an avid reader, and the peaceful atmosphere of the courtyard was the perfect place to escape into her imagination. The sound of the water gurgling and the chirping of the birds provided a soothing background noise that only added to her enjoyment.
Amanda was a shy and introverted girl, and she often found it difficult to make friends at Hogwarts. But in her books, she found a sense of comfort and belonging that she couldn't find anywhere else. She loved getting lost in the stories and adventures of the characters, and she often imagined herself as the heroine of her own tale.
As she read, Amanda didn't notice the passage of time. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the courtyard, and the stars began to twinkle in the sky. But Amanda was too engrossed in her book to notice. She was in her own little world, where the only thing that mattered was the story she was reading.

Viva sighed and threw down her quill in frustration. Who knew one charms essay could take so long? She was in the Hufflepuff common room, where she had been for the last two hours, sitting at a small table with her books and parchment. Glancing outside at the setting sun, Viva made up her mind. She was going to take a break and get out of this room for a little while.
I'll have to be careful, she thought as she hurried along the corridor. It's getting late, and I don't want to be out after curfew. Viva stepped out of a little arched door, into the courtyard. It was beautiful out here, in the light of the sunset. She could hear birds chirping somewhere above her. There were barely any students still out, as Viva looked around. They had probably all gone in because of curfew.
She noticed a girl with blond hair sitting by the fountain, looking down at something. Hmm. Does she know how late it is? Viva walked closer to the girl, who looked to be about her own age. The girl appeared to be reading a book, sitting quietly and turning the pages every so often. The fountain made gurgling and splashing water noises. Viva stepped up right next to the girl. "Hello," she said, "My name is Genevieve, but most people call me Viva. What are you reading? I love books too. Also, I thought maybe you'd want to know it's almost curfew," she pointed at the setting sun. "We have like half and hour."

A Lone Hufflepuff
As I looked up from my library book, I was startled to see a girl standing before me, about my age, with a friendly smile on her face.
"Hi there! My name is Amanda," she said, extending a hand. "Is it already that late? I guess I got so caught up in this book. It's about Hogwarts history. I find it very interesting."
So, what brings you here?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.
"I'm a first-year student," Amanda replied. "I'm here to learn more about magic and explore this amazing place. I've always been fascinated by the wizarding world, and I can't believe I'm finally here it's a bit nerve-wracking since I don't know anyone yet." I get up and close my book "I guess we should head back I don't want to get a detention on the very first day" I start walking with you back to our common room. "I wonder if we have any classes together. what's your favorite subject here? I like charms and magical history and I find them both fascinating. I also really liked seeing the library it was so big and all the books looked like amazing reads to bad I won't be able to read them all while I'm here."
As you walk down the dimly lit hallway of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the silence is almost deafening. The only sound you can hear is the soft echo of your footsteps on the cold stone floor. The portraits of former students and professors seem to watch you with a disapproving gaze, their judgmental eyes following you as you pass.
You can't help but feel a shiver run down your spine as you hurry down the hallway, aware that the clock is ticking and curfew is fast approaching. You've been warned about being out after hours, and you know the consequences of being caught.
After a while of walking, we reach the entrance to the common room. A giant set of barrels stood before us. "it's really cool actually being here at Hogwarts. the castle so big and I've never seen moving pictures or stairways before it's so amazing". I knock on the barrels in the correct sequence and the door to the hufflepuff common room opens up and we walk inside. "I absolutely love this house we are in its beautiful looking and also very cozy too. it's the most amazing place I could hope to be at if not at home with my parents and my brother and sister I already miss them so much."
*standing in front of the dorm rooms*
"Wow! my first night at Hogwarts. It's exciting but terrifying all at the same time, but I am happy to I finally have a friend here. I guess we should turn in for the night. we wouldn't want to be tired and accidentally fall asleep in class tomorrow.* I open the door to my dorm room. I go inside and lay down. I finished reading the chapter in the book i was on before placing it on the nightstand next to me. I close my eyes and lay there wondering what the morning will have in store and hoping I don't get lost on my way to classes. I finally drift off to sleep and dream of being with my parents and siblings again. as the sun comes up the next day, I wake up and start to get ready for the day. I wonder what I should have for breakfast that day. I leave my room and see the common room filled with more students of all ages and I start to feel a bit nervous but after a few minutes I gather my thoughts and I join the others in the common room and I begin meeting people before heading to the great hall with the rest of the students.

Viva smiled as she took Amanda's hand. "It's nice to meet you!" She said, looking down at the girl. "I know what you mean about being lost in books. I find the history of Hogwarts quite interesting as well, having lived in the muggle world all my life." Viva glanced around at the beautiful sunset, wishing she could stay out here and enjoy the nature. But time was slipping away, and the girls needed to hurry.
Viva listened to Amanda as she finished introducing herself. "Ah yes, we should probably get going. I don't want to get detention either!" She chuckled nervously. The two girls started walking inside together, chatting happily. Viva fell quiet as she stepped into the quiet school, though. It was eerie, the darkness and quiet. Her skin prickled as she knew she was almost breaking rules. Amanda and Viva made it back to the common room in time, though, and Viva breathed a sigh of relief. "I agree. Hufflepuffs are so kind and welcoming!" She laughed as Amanda commented on falling asleep in class. "Yeah, we should probably get some sleep." Viva got ready for bed and climbed in between the comfy sheets, asleep within moments.
