Kaitlyn giggled at Tracey’s choice. “Oh, nice. I like Herbology,” she smiled. She reached down and exchanged the book she took out with her Herbology textbook. She also took out a very organized folder filled with her textbook quality notes. Each was a revised form of the notes she took in class. The portion that Tracey wouldn’t see would be the multiple revisions that she did. So much parchment.

“Aw, that’s good to know. Tiger could have a friend. Ugh, I forgot about the different species types. I bet they’re so adorable. Weren’t there a lot to choose from for kittens? I think I’d melt in a pet store just looked at all of them,” she giggled. “And I bet the bunny ones are cute too. I’d probably try to get one that’s close to my personality,” she mused.

Kaitlyn shrugged at Tracey’s mention about the time. “The projects were fun. I had an awesome friend group. We were all in the special higher-level classes. I had to wake up even earlier there than here. 5 am. That’d be great to have field trips here. I’m not too sure what my parents would think of any permission slip, though,” she shrugged. She pictured what her parents would say about visiting magical communities.

Katie shook her head. “I insist. I feel bad,” she admitted. “Room of Requirement? I don’t think I’ve heard of it? Where is it?” She asked. She giggled at Tracey’s comment. “Well, he seems well-behaved around me,” she smiled.

Tracey saw Kaitlyn switch out the textbook she had originally brought out with the Herbology one, and then saw her Slytherin friend take out her notes. Tracey does indeed have notes, but she doesn't have them in a folder, she has them inside of her textbook, just so then it'd be easier for her to review a page on the topic that she had wrote the note on.
"Wow, your really organized. I'm not that organized. I like Herbology too. I think we only learned like two spells and one potion in that class, right?" Tracey says.
Tracey tried to remember if they learned any spells during the three lessons they had for Herbology, but then again, her memory sometimes isn't that great, and right now, it really isn't great. Tracey then heard Kaitlyn's comment on the pets and she nodded her head then said,
"Tiger would love a friend. Heh, it's ok! The kittens were all so cute! Same with the bunnies! Oh, and the owls looked cool. And the pygmy puffs looked cute as well. Going with a pet that matches your personality is a good idea! I think Tiger matches my personality, right?"
When Tiger heard the part about him having a friend, he meowed happily, agreeing with the two girls, which caused Tracey to giggle slightly. Tracey then heard Kaitlyn's comment about her muggle school.
"That's nice. What time do you wake up now? I wake up at 5 am, cause I take a walk in the morning before having breakfast. Heh, I agree, my parents both went to this school, but I think they'll think it's weird," Tracey says.
Though, going to magical communities would be fun, how'd it work out in a big school like Hogwarts? Maybe it'd work out if the teachers take their students on a mini field trip to better explain something, but other than that, Tracey wouldn't see how it'd work.
"No, no, Kaite, really, it's fine. Ah, the Room of Requirement is located on the fifth floor. It's a hidden room which reveals itself, I've been in there only once, and I've met a lot of people in there too. Maybe I could show it to you sometime? Heh, Tiger is always like this," Tracey says.

Kaitlyn flushed lightly at Tracey’s compliment. “Thanks … um, just the folder isn’t even half of it,” she giggled. She removed her notes from their three Herbology classes. Each page was written in neat cursive handwriting. An icon in the bottom right corner of each page was a little plant, while the top right corner had a capital ‘C.’ Words were underlined. Highlighter, in neon green of course, was used conservatorly. A visual depiction of the plant in question, along with the spell or potion, was highly detailed and colored. Little arrows pointed to important parts. A few post-it-notes, again in neon green, were used to note important information. Each page looked like it was removed from a textbook, not from a twelve-year-old girl’s notebook.

Katie nodded at Tracey’s comment. “Yes, that sounds accurate. I enjoyed those lessons. I’m glad we both like the class,” she smiled. She could not help but giggle when Tiger meowed about getting a new friend. “Aww, I think Tiger approves. Yes, I think Tiger matches your personality. I cannot wait until I’m able to go,” she smiled, brightly. She hoped to have an excellent relationship with her pet, like Tracey did.

When Tracey mentioned her wake up time, Katie giggled. “I get an extra hour of sleep now. I get up at 6 am to run and practice yoga. Sometimes I dance, too. It depends on how much time I have for it,” she nodded. She giggled at Tracey’s comments about field trips. “I don’t know about for us … but maybe field trips to look at potential jobs when we’re older?” She considered.

Kaitlyn eventually lamented. “Okay … fine. I’ll slowly move meet-up locations to higher floors,” she giggled. She tilted her head to the side. “Fifth floor … I don’t recall seeing a room there. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention? I’d love to go, though, thanks,” she smiled.

Tracey saw Kaitlyn blush lightly and she knew it was from the compliment she had given her. She then heard her friend speak and she shook her head. She then saw Kaitlyn take out her notes for the three classes they had for Herbology, and she was amazed with how neat and detailed it was. She then said,
"Heh, thats true, but your notes so look neat and detailed, its hard to imagine that you had wrote all of this,"
Tracey was just complimenting her friend, she didnt want her to think that she was being rude or anything, cause she really wasn't.
"Ok, so which spell d'you need help casting? Or is it both?" Tracey asks.
In the second and third Herbology classes, the two learned a spell in each class, and while Tracey hadn't casted them before, but Tracey was sure she'd be able to help Kaitlyn with the spells.
"Of course Tiger approves. Yay! I'm glad you agree! I was scared that you didn't see it like that. Tiger can't wait till you get your pet, right?" Tracey says.
Tiger meows, agreeing with the two girls. And Tracey giggled slightly at how cute he was being. When Kaitlyn told her the time she wakes up she nodded her head and then heard what Kaitlyn said about field trips, which made Tracey nod in agreement then she said,
"Waking up at 6 is a good time. Yeah, your right, it'd make more sense if we go on a field trip in our fifth, sixth, or seventh years,"
A field trip in their later years before graduating would make sense, just so then they'd know what they'd like to be in the future, but Tracey has a feeling that wouldn't happen.
"You don't have to. It really doesn't bug me. I'm fine with lower level floors, I just never told anyone about the long walk form the West Tower before, so it was good to get it off my chest. Ah, it normally shows itself to those that need it most, I think, it also changes the type of room for each person, I think we could practice the spells better there," Tracey says.

Kaitlyn flushed again at Tracey’s comment. Her hand playing with the pigtail again. “Thanks. I … um … Please don’t laugh … But, it takes me multiple revisions to get them like this. I do at least one right after class, another the next day, another the next week. I do even more when we have an exam. These took four revisions,” she admitted, trying to shrug it off so as not to make herself look like such a perfectionist. In hindsight, that was probably a trait she shouldn’t be shy about in front of a Ravenclaw. While she was proud of her notes, it was often a long and grueling process.

Katie looked down at her lap and nodded. “Um, yes. Both, please, if you have the time … and don’t mind. I’ll try not to be a burden,” she responded, still playing with her pigtail. She knew that she didn’t have to be shy around Tracey. They were already good friends. But, admitting that she knew she wasn’t good enough was the hard part. Especially when she admitted it to someone who knew how to do it. She was envious of Tracey, after all.

At Tracey’s mention of the pets, Katie visibly perked up. She still played with her hair, but she was more excited now. “I cannot wait, either. You, and of course, Tiger, will be one of the first ones to know when I do get one, I promise,” she giggled quietly. “I hope to find a really cute one. Although, from the sound of it, they all sound cute,” she giggled again.

“Oh, I agree. It would be nice to have a field trip, now, though,” Kaitlyn responded. “Okay, okay, fine. I’ll stop mentioning it. Just know that I feel bad,” she added. “That does sound like the perfect room to practice spells … and hide,” she giggled.

Tracey saw Kaitlyn playing with her hair again and noticed that she flushed again, pretty much because of her compliment, and Tracey still didn't bring it up. When she heard Kaitlyn's reply, her jaw dropped, she wasn't expecting Kaitlyn to re-do the notes that many times. Tracey only re-did her notes like one time to make it pretty, but she doesn't re-do it more than once.
"Wow, that's a lot. I only re-do my notes one time, just to make it more better and easier to read, cause I kinda scribble while taking notes in class," Tracey says.
After she had said that, she heard Kaitlyn reply to her question about the spells. Kaitlyn said both, and as Tracey didn't have a problem with it, she happily said,
"Sure! I'd love to help you! Maybe when we get to the part where the spell was taught to us while we study, I could teach you how to cast it?"
Tracey didn't think Kaitlyn was a burden, and she was very happy to help her friend out with learning the spells, and it'd be a good opportunity to see if she actually knows how to cast the spell correctly, since she hadn't cast any of the spells yet. Tracey giggled at Kaitlyn's reply to the pets and then she said,
"We'd love that! You can send us an owl over summer break if you do get one. Heh, that's true, well, not all the pets are cute, but the kittens, puffs, bunnies, and owls sure are! Tho, I had almost gotten bitten by an owl,"
Tracey had indeed almost gotten bitten by and owl, since she tried to pet on once, but good thing she didn't get bitten, cause her mother would have to take her home right away and deal with the bite.
"Yep, it definitely would be. You really don't have to feel bad! It's really good exercise! Maybe I should take you there sometime so we could practice the spells more," Tracey says.

Kailtyn flushed even darker at Tracey’s words, as her hand still played with her pigtail. Her vision dropped to the table, feeling shame for her revised notes. She was not expecting that type of reaction from a Ravenclaw. “I … um … I revise my notes so much for readability … to summarize what was said in class … and I use it as a way to help me study as I rewrite my notes,” she replied, still looking at the table, feeling a little embarrassed. While she didn’t want Tracey to feel bad about what she said, she also knew that she felt bad. She figured that Tracey didn’t mean anything by it.

A small smile formed on her face, as Kaitlyn looked over at Tracey. “Please? I promise not to waste your time,” she repeated. Just from her speech, it was often that she exhibited a lack of self-confidence. That was part of the reason why she dressed so well. To give her an outward appearance of someone who was confident, despite the fact that her inward thoughts were nowhere near confident.

Katie smiled and nodded. “I have to see which one I get. But, yes, those definitely sound cute. I cannot wait to get one! You were also pecked by an owl? I hope that didn’t hurt, or leave a mark,” she questioned, hoping that didn’t happen to her when she eventually bought a pet.

“Yes, please. I’d love to see it,” Katie confirmed with a smile. She could always use another spot to study, and many even hang out with friends. It sounded like its utility was endless. And, while she joked about hiding, it would also prove to be a good room for when she needed time away from others.

Tracey saw Kaitlyn looking down at the table, and she began to worry. Tracey was about to say something when she heard her friend speak. Tracey was still worried, but then calmed down. Kaitlyn gave good info, and Tracey nodded her head then said,
"You don't have to be embarrassed, it was partially my fault for phrasing my words how I did. I tend to forget about my notes and just wing the tests, but sometimes Tiger makes me study even if I don't want to,"
The part about Tiger making Tracey study is indeed true. Tiger would always make sure that Tracey studied, even tho he's a cat, he still wanted Tracey to get good marks and be like the expectations of her house. Sometimes Tracey plays with Tiger and forgets to study. Tracey laughed slightly at what Kaitlyn said then nodded her head and replied,
"Of course! You won't be wasting my time silly,"
Tracey was pretty sure she had said something along those lines already, but she didn't mind repeating them to her friend, since she could sense Kaitlyn's self-consciousness, but she never said anything about it. Tracey smiled brightly at what Kaitlyn said then added,
"No matter what pet you pick, you'll love it! Ah, I didn't actually get bitten, I had almost! I moved my hand away from the owl just in time!"
Tracey was glad that she didn't get bitten that day, but it did bring back memories, funny ones actually, cause it was funny how she was going to get bitten on her 11th birthday. Tracey grinned at Kaitlyn then said,
"Then we'll have to agrange a day for us to go to the Room of Requirement!"

Kaitlyn flushed again, looking back at the table. The hand playing with her pigtail slowed considerably but still continued. She nodded to Tracey’s words. They made sense. Yet, she felt bad for having Tracey feel bad. She felt like she was being a bad friend. A small smile formed on her lips when Tracey mentioned Tiger making her study. “So, Tiger is the perfect study buddy for you,” she let out a nervous giggle.

Katie felt bad again, when Tracey mentioned that she wouldn’t be wasting time. She could have sworn that Tracey mentioned that before. ‘We should probably study soon, I don’t want to offend Tracey anymore than I already did. I hope I didn’t ruin our friendship,’ she thought. “Th-thanks,” she stuttered. As much as she tried to look confident, deep down, she wasn’t.

Kaitlyn giggled and smiled. “I bet. I hope to get enough money soon. I'm really close,” she agreed. “Ah, that’s good to hear. I hope that never happens again to you,” she responded. She nodded to Tracey’s words about the room of requirement. “Great! I cannot wait to see it. It sounds mysterious,” she giggled.

Glancing down at her textbook and then at Tracey, Kaitlyn smiled brightly. “Um … I completely enjoy socializing with you. But, we should probably start studying. I know you said I’m not wasting your time, but I don’t want to eat away at valuable studying time, either,” she suggested, as she opened her textbook.

Now, now, now, Tracey hoped that Kaitlyn wouldn't feel bad or think that she's a bad friend, cause Kaitlyn really isn't a bad friend. In fact, Tracey thought Kaitlyn was a perfect friend! Tracey did see Kaitlyn blush again, but paid it no mind, she then heard Kaitlyn speak then nervously giggle and Tracey sighed before saying,
"Actually, he was my only study buddy. But now, your my study buddy! Well, obviously whenever you aren't busy,"
Ok, maybe Tracey had just said something that Kaitlyn had said, but then again, Tracey has two sides to her, a shy side, and a energetic side. Both sides come out, but usually she's in shy mode, that's only whenever she doesn't have Tiger and she hasn't talked to that person before. But otherwise, she's in energetic mode.Tracey heard Kaitlyn speak and she listened then said,
"Saving up is a good method! Yeah, same, I was just tryin to pet it! I don't think owls like me. I'm pretty sure you'll love it there!"
Tracey opened up her book and waited for Kaitlyn to do the same. Tracey looked up from the Herbology book when she heard Kaitlyn speak. Tracey then said,
"That's true. Let's start studying!"
She really wanted to study, but she also really wanted to chat with her friend and play with Tiger. Gosh, why is it so complicated!?! Tracey pushed those thoughts away and once she saw Kaitlyn had opened up the book, she asked,
"So, what should we start with first?"
