Hey guys! I know this is not about the book, but I really need some advice or something right now. I’m want to ask on here since only one person on here know me in real life, and I trust that person.
So today I found out my close friends all hung out yesterday. I was not invited. I told my best friend about this (who was also there) and she said that she told the person who sent out the email about it to add me. They obviously didn’t because I never recieved any email.
Now I don’t know if this was on purpose or not, but I’m currently heartbroken. They talked about it all day, right in my face. I wanted to cry. I don’t know if I should keep quiet and pretend it doesn’t bother me or confront the person. It feels awful to have what you think of as your closest friends leave you out of something. Even if I was busy (which I wasn’t), I would’ve been happy to know they see me in the way I see them.
Man, I can’t wait till I go to a new school... Anyways, you can reply or owl me if you have any advice for what I should do. Hopefully I don’t seem like to much of a drama queen X3.

The arsehole: Ask them how fun their little ‘party’ was without you and try to be an arse about it and put some sarcasm, of course by doing this it will lead to either anger between you guys or them realizing that they hurt your feelings
It never happened: Judt act like it never happened and just ignore everything completely (I don’t like this one much)
The faker: Whenever they bring it up just talk obnoxiously about it like you were there with them, then they will be like wth and then you can just spill your beans
Revenge: invite your friends to hang with you but not the one who sent out the invitations and left you out
The talker: Ask them why. Just ask. That simple.

First of all, I'm sorry they did that to you ): I've had that happen to me more than once as well.Sylvie Maple wrote: 18 Mar 2019, 22:52 Hey guys! Here's what I would do: confront them all and ask why you were left out, and openly speak your mind about how awful it felt. If they continue to do it, or do anything further to mock you, then they aren't your friends. Even if it's "just a joke". Speaking from experience, if they exclude you on purpose and are being a-holes about it, then that isn't friendship.
It might have also been a simple mistake, that the person who did the emails forgot to add you and genuinely didn't notice until after the fact. They also can't know that you're upset until you tell them. Speak your mind, don't leave it hanging around, but certainly don't let them walk all over you until worst comes to worst. Make sure you hear all sides of the story before taking action, though.

You're not being a drama queen. This has happened to me before, and I would say that you're doing a great job of dealing with it. A few ways that you could, but don't have to use are as follows:Sylvie Maple wrote: 18 Mar 2019, 22:52 Hey guys! -you could investigate. Ask more to the best friend. See what he/she says. Search for signs of a person lying. Also, question the person who sent the invitations. It could have been (but likely isn't) a simple mistake.
-throw yourself a pity party. No need to make it too extravagant--just take a nice blanket, curl up on the couch, grab a bowl of (insert favourite sweet here) and cry your eyes out. It's not a good way to find out what happened, but it can make you feel better.
-do other things. Invite a close friend on a bike ride or something like that. Exercise is especially good for when you feel devastated. It stimulates good hormones. Just don't let yourself get depressed.
-bouncing off of the one above: distract yourself. Another coping method, just don't overdo it. Make yourself a to do list, go shopping, work on important things, etc.
-silent treatment. This is old and somewhat childish but it can work like a charm. They might be like WTH and ask you why, then you can either come clean about how you feel or you don't have to. If they don't see anything then it's not a friendship.
-make sure it isn't a toxic relationship. We all know how this feels. It sucks to be on the lower end of one. Try to balance the power if it is, or cut away entirely.

Thanks guys! I will try to follow this advice, but I might not succeed at some considering I hate confrontation. I will try though! I might have to have someone else tell then for me...
Also @Koko Riddle,
As much as I would love to investigate and get ideas for a detective novel or something, like I said, I suck and confrontation X3
