I walk back at the Slytherin table with my bag swung over my shoulder. I look at the floor the drawings are gone. I quickly starts to circle the table hoping to find my gore drawings, then I see a group of people having an interesting conversation... "H-hi sorry to uh.. I-interupt but um... H-had y-you guys s-seen or uh.. Have a-any g-gore d-d-drawings...?" I ask pushing up my glasses back into position. "Its o-ok if you g-guys haven't seen them... I-i just d-dont w-w-want to get into tr-trouble... Heheh..."

Dmitri strode to the Slytherin Table while the smattering of polite applause in response to his Sorting dwindled. He was quite happy with the results of the Sorting--he was finally in a group of people where he could find at least a few people with more than just superficiality to them (as he thought this, he trained his eyes on a particularly rowdy table next to theirs just as another student got sorted into what sounded like Gryffindor, was it?).

He shrugged and continued to walk towards the table, choosing to seat himself beside a girl who had her nose buried in a book when he arrived.
@Morgana
Whispers filled the table for a few brief seconds, but people slowly went back to their routine. Morgana simply, once again, turned her page and continued to read.
He caught her eye and tipped the book in his hand a little bit in her direction--a silent gesture of cheers. Dmitri the proceeded to lay out the book beside his plate so he could eat while reading, the perfect combination if you ask him. He was careful not to get stains on the pages though.

Just as he was deep into his reading (and eating, who could forget), the other occupants got a little more rowdy than is tolerable. He rolled his eyes, settling on the girl beside him who has started to react to the noise as well. He shrugged and sighed at her, relaying the message of 11 year-olds huh? quite clearly. Dmitri then proceeded to clear his throat and turn his page particularly loud, loud enough to be heard by most of the table. "Just when I thought my housemates were more than this." He muttered quietly to himself.

Juliana passes by the Slytherin table wishing she was part of them... She takes out two thick folders out of her bag. This was only her first full day and she already had so many drawings (specifically gore). Juliana planned to just give out half of her drawings to the Slytherin table, she already lost some the night before at the same table so might as well give out more. But she did lose a few she did not want anyone to see at all. She went up to two people racing books at the table.... Hmm they seemed interesting and she felt like causing trouble between these two... "Um... Hello there! I've lost a lot of drawings here and uh... I have drawing that I Dont want so I'm just gonna leave this stack of gore drawings between you two heheh" juliana says as she puts one stack on top of the boys' book. Juliana herself is a book worm and she would kill whoever disturbed her while she read (or in some cases when she drew). "Also I like that book, but I really Dont want to spoil it for you but uh... The main character dies. OK no. Just kidding. I would never spoil it for you. Um.. (Pulls up glasses nervously) so.. Uh.. Why am I even at this table? Heheh... Uh... Oh right... Um... H-hope you l-like m-my d-d-drawings... Um... Yea... I think I'm just gonna leave..." Juliana says backing up and clutching tightly onto her bag.

Dmitri was deep into the history and the practical uses of the Knockback Jinx on his spellbook when his reading was interrupted by a stack of gruesome drawings being plonked right onto his book. His expression hardened as he turned to whomever interrupted him. He stared at the stuttering girl, deadpanning as she kept on rambling on. He interrupted her midsentence in a cold, calculating sneer of, "Can you please tell me what house you're from?" He raised an eyebrow, face expressionless as he flicked his bangs away from his face. "And I don't know with you," he carefully swiped aside the stack of drawings and lifted up his book so he could show the girl its cover, "But I think all the main characters of this story died a long time ago, don't you think?" He smiled, sickening sweet and fake. "And if I were you, I wouldn't have interrupted me in the middle of reading about the knockback jinx..." Dmitri smiled wider, showing teeth. "...or would you want to be Flipendo'ed on your ass this instant?" This last he said in a louder voice for the benefit of whoever else might be listening.

Nobody interrupted his reading. And if there was, well... they'll find out, wouldn't they?

Juliana turns around and looks at the boy, for some reasons she found his response amusing but not surprising. She bites her lips trying so hard to not laugh. Oh she loved to cause trouble so much. But this one boy was quite different from others, either way she could already see what was to come from him. "I'm from Griffindor. Its quite bad in my opinion" Juliana replies trying to copy the boys tone. She turned her head trying to hide her smile, she even bit her tongue so hard that it bled.  When she had enough she turned her head back again. "So you sure do have a sense of humour. What's your name? Maybe I'll play some pranks on you. Call me Puppet since I hate my first name." Juliana says casually. She pulls her glasses back up again (she hates the fact her glasses always fall down her nose). "You must be kinda disappointed with your house right? I saw those looks. Well you are lucky to not be in the stupid Griffindor house, well most of the people in the Griffindor house are very annoying. They think they are great but that's just how all houses think of themselves. Am I not right? Its just how it is." Juliana puts her hand in her bag, grabbing her wand getting ready to say expelliarmus anytime. But she would not expect him to throw any spells at her, but still though she lightly held her wand.

His malicious smirk grew even wider when she spoke. "Gryffindor? No surprise. You do have the big mouth that your house is so popular for." He raised an eyebrow pointedly just as a surprisingly intense burst of laughter emanated from said house table. See? Dmitri thought, bemused, chuckling darkly.

The raven-haired boy did not miss the way the girl held in a laugh and it just made his expression colder. She was just one wrong word away from getting jinxed but then again, Dmitri was too refined for a wand fight in the Great Hall--it would be so... Gryffindor of him to do that, now would it?

"Well, Puppet, I actually am pretty happy with my house. I'm in a place where people actually want more than just..." He gestured vaguely around the commotion of the Hall. "...this. And yes, you're right. Gryffindors are annoying." He looked Puppet up and down pointedly, chuckled to himself, and went back to reading his book. "I'm Dmitri. You'll do best to remember that name, Puppet." Said boy emphasized the word, voicing it in a way that conveyed how funny he found the name to be.

Juliana just loved the humour this boy had. She just could not hold it any longer. She laughed, she laughed just as the whole table laughed, should she feel ashamed? Or was she just crazy? "Yes, yes I'm annoying in my own ways, everyone is. But I get influenced by them" Juliana grinned widely. This was just getting hilarious for her. "Also thank you for calling me a big mouth. I am a Griffindor and I am sure proud to show it!" She says sarcastically but 'real' enough. "You are probably the most hilarious kids I've ever met" Juliana says honestly. "Oh and the reason I say puppet is because my babysitter used me as a puppet to kill my parents and forever on after that, my last name simply became 'Puppet'. So even muggle from my old school called me 'Puppet'. And the stupidity of the name is supposed to represent the stupidity of myself. You know... I'm just trying my best to be a Griffindor. And I'm pretty sure I'm rocking it! Well, I'm pretty sure I'll we you around. Dmitry." Just then Juliana walked away laughing to herself looking very foolish, and insane. She was sure that she will meet him again. She turned her head. She really wished that she was not in Griffindor. But she was doing great acting like one, she was even having fun acting as one! She headed to the astronomy towers...

At the platinum blonde girl's remark Kevin's eyes twinkled with excitement as he reached into his robes before plopping a notebook on the table. The contents weren't exactly spectacular, but it held enough information where his father remarked it'd easily guarantee excellent remarks through OWL level exams. This edition didn't carry any secrets that could be considered of worth - but the insights in spellcraft and potioncraft were beyond their textbooks.

"While it's nothing valuable in perspective of what I'm talking about... I think this is an adequate free sample. The unabridged version is in my trunk - of course I can also request better books and a few trinkets from home." He prompted for the book to be perused with his eyes.

"To be honest I don't even care if you keep that copy, I've a dozen more, so consider it advertising." He had more on his person but opted to keep them in reserve since one of them already had a specific owner in mind. But for now, the single copy visible can serve as a way to increase interest through a temporary illusion of scarcity. The powerful attracted with might, the wealthy with coin, the influential through their connections and in the case of his family since none of the above were aplenty - he opted to use knowledge and information which had been collected and hoarded to extreme degrees.

Dmitri's ears twitched at the mention of a book. He straightened in his seat and turned his ear a little bit toward the talking boy sitting across from him and listened for more. From the limited information that he has eavesdropped on, two of his housemates were planning to aid each other and some other Slytherins in the pursuit for greatness.  However, as a Slytherin himself who thinks similarly if not identically, he does know that the offer always comes with a price, if not now then later in the form of favors or commands. He also knows that the boy offers an illusion of camaraderie but will be keeping valuable information for himself--greatness can only be greatness if only a few have it.

The raven-haired boy himself is reading a copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 6 complete with research notes and discussions on the margins that he has nabbed from his aunt before coming to Hogwarts. He was planning on learning the Confundus Charm, a sixth-year spell within the next year so he could use it to his advantage.

Maybe he has found an ally.

Or maybe he has found a competitor.

One thing was for sure. He would be finding out right here and now. Clearing his throat, Dmitri gathered up his book and his half-finished plate of food and walked around the table towards where the two blondes were talking. He settled himself down beside, making a show of slowly opening his book onto the table and taking food from a platter in front of him--giving the illusion that he transferred because of the food. However...

"So..." He cleared his throat once more, voice low. "What is this 'book' that I've heard you speak of?" He asked nonchalantly, not giving anything away, all the while munching on his food and reading.

Alexander would study as he was eating his food send discreet glances around the table observing each and every student and creating a profile of them and rating how dangerous they would most likely be and in which categories they would be dangerous. Due to this Alex quickly took an interest in Dmitri and went to observe him closer, his manerisms style of speaking and style of clothing so he could have a rough mental picture of the new Slytherin.

From what he had observed already Dmitri was a true Slytherin, quite cunning and most assuredly witty and sarcastic. Though his standard slytherin attitude might reveal his inner thinking a bit more unless his slytherin attitude was also an act to throw people of how he actually thought and what his personality actually was Alex would also perk up as he heard Kevin talk about books but would make sure that once he got an oppertunity he might try to get one of those books but he would prefer not to give away any favors so early at this point in his Hogwarts career.

'Back to the topic' he mentally scolded himself and he could see a bit of a sarcastic attitude so that might not be handy for making allies but from what Alex observed Dmitri was quite Slytherin in trying to take any advantage he could whilst not indebting himself to anyone. Alex thus made a careful note to watch out for the boy as he was quite high up his danger rating.
