Elena opened her mouth to argue that she didn't want to intrude but stopped when she saw how happy Alan was about it. Bubblegum coloured hair? He would look amazing with that, and it fit him a lot more than the blues Elena liked, "Thank you, and it'll look great, I've been thinking of making mine a bit more green, what do you think."
"I should be able to remember, you're almost as tall as me." Elena smiled a little, remembering just before break when giving the boy a hug was challenging due to Elena being tiny, now she was getting towards the tall end of 4'7". To be fair giving him a hug was also challenging due to the fact she was terrified of messing up but that feeling had eased away with time.
Nobody would really know what to say in that scenario, but Elena had absolutely no hint where to start, so she may or may not have stared for a moment trying to figure out the right way to respond. She realised she was smiling, really brightly, "Yeah, I guess so Alan, that's... really really cool.""You really gonna be like my younger sister now!"
"Yes, the castle! Good idea." Elena waited until Alan finished yawning before slinging an arm around her friend's shoulders.
I'm weak my love.

Alan looked at his friend and nodded. ”If you make it more green that would look really cool and also everyone would know instantly that you are a Slytherin!”, he joked lightly, but honestly meant the first part. He thought that the color would look cool, also green was the color of hope and nature, both things Alan liked and believed in, so he could not complain about her choice.
”Once upon a time I was taller than you, which was a very nice time!”, he huffed and crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking at the Slytherin girl, who was just ever so slightly taller than he was. He smiled at her and then looked towards the stables, hearing the faint squeak of a creature from the inside. He wondered what creatures Moffy was caring for at the moment, as he hoped none of them were sick or hurt.
”Yeah, let's go”, he nodded as he turned to head back to the castle. The second year still had a lot of homework he needed to do, as the potion professor had no mercy today with giving a few assignments. Alan did not mind, he liked the subject, yet it was difficult to remember every step.
