Take My Breath Away
"Wise choice," he compliment her, perhaps not one hundred percent sincerely but more of a way to show the other preteen how charming he was. "In that case, let us both ride on this baby." Gesturing to his trusted Firebolt, Maverick made a dash to the ground, expecting the pale brunette to follow. If she hesitated, after he landed he would call out to her, "Come on!" Or if she did not, he would wait for her to land, too.
After she had approached him when they were both on the ground, he would motion her to ride on his broom and told her, "Welcome aboard. When we're on the air, please don't let go of your grip. You can either hold the broom or my waist, but please not my shoulders. All right, maybe a little rundown on how it will be like. Basically, I'll speed on the broom, and then stop all of a sudden as if my way is completely blocked. So as not to surprise you a lot, I'll say 'now' when I'm about to brake. Oh, and one last thing! I hope you won't shout up there? I'm afraid I'll lose my concentration that way." He chuckled.
"Me, I'm ready to fly. Tell me whenever you're ready and I'll have her fly up."

Take My Breath Away
Maverick gestured to his Firebolt as he told her they would both ride it. He went into an abrupt dive and Charlie quickly followed. She landed, grabbed her broom, and laid it on the ground under one of the good sized trees nearby. Then, she made her way over to him. He welcomed her aboard, which reminded her of those muggle... airplanes which muggles used to travel long distances.
She hopped on and he gave her some very detailed instructions, like don't let go, which Charlie had always told herself when riding a broom, besides she had some strong grip with her legs because being a keeper she needed to use both hands to grab the quaffle. Then Maverick told her not to hold on to his shoulders which didn't make total sense, but she agreed. She didn't want to hold on to his waist, but she would later find herself doing just that.
Maverick talked about how he would tell her when he was going to brake not to scare her, but even with a warning, Charlie knew she would still flinch. He told her not to shout, and to that she could only chuckle and mutter "Well, We will see about that." He asked if she was ready, and deep down she wanted to scream, cry or run away, but she just forced a small smile and said "Yes. Yes I am. Let's do this mate." She gripped the broom, knuckles turning white, and closed her eyes as she braced herself.
