Sweat and Sketches Closed

Fenix's shiny copper ribbons of hair clung to his face from sweat. He'd just come from the Astronomy tower and, even in the cool weather, he'd  worked up quite a sweat from the trek to the lake. His black robes and clothing made for an excellent background for his Crimson tie bearing the golden stripes of Gryffindor House. 

When he finally reached the Lake, Fenix looked out among the Lake's sparkling black surface and wondered just how many magnificent creatures live below. Grindylows, Selkies, a giant squid....Those he knew of already. His copy of Hogwarts a History told him about them. 

 He sat down by the Lake and opened his bag. Fenix pulled out a sketch pencil and some parchment paper and began to draw what he imagined a Selkie to look like peaking up from the dark water's surface.  He'd love to meet one. He'd heard that during the Triwizard Tournament, former headmaster Dumbledore was seen talking to a selkie in their language! How he wished he could learn to do that. He'd love to be able to communicate with merpeople. Or any magical creature for that matter. He continued his sketch as the sun began to set over the Black Lake.
