Amanda stepped up to where she would be performing next. She wasn’t used to singing in front of others, but she was confident in her monologue. She gave a bright smile as she looked at the girl who was going to be judging her. “Hi, I’m Amanda Sparrow. I’m going to be singing and doing a monologue, if that’s alright.”

“I’m going to be singing ‘Lady’ by Styx first.” Amanda cleared her throat and took a deep breath. “Lady, when you’re with me I’m smiling...” She began to sing, her voice strong despite her petite figure. When she finished, Amanda anxiously grinned at the girl, trying to ignore her pounding heart.

“For my monologue, I’m going to say an excerpt from The Dark Knight that’s spoken by the Joker.” Amanda paused, the smiling dropping from her face as she got into character. Her eyes took on an almost maniacal, but subtle glow.

“Do I really look like a guy with a plan, Harvey? I don’t have a plan… The mob has plans. The cops have plans. You know what I am, Harvey? I am a dog chasing cars… I wouldn’t know what to do with one if I caught it. I just do things. I am just the wrench in the gears. I hate plans. Yours, theirs, everyone’s. Maroni has plans. Gordon has plans. Schemers trying to control their worlds. I am not a schemer. I show the schemer how pathetic their attempts to control things really are. So when I say that you and your girlfriend was nothing personal, you know I am telling the truth. I just did what I do best. I took your plan and turned it on itself. Look what I have done to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets. Nobody panics when the expected people gets killed. Nobody panics when things go according to plan, even if the plan is horrifying. If I tell the press that tomorrow a gangbanger will get shot or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics. – because it’s all part of the plan. But when I say that one little old mayor will die, everybody lose their minds. Introduce a little anarchy, you upset the established order and everything becomes chaos. I am agent of chaos. And you know the thing about chaos, Harvey? It is fair.” Amanda accented her every phrase with hand motions and facial expressions, bringing the scene to life.

When the monologue was done, her kind smile graced her face once again. “Sorry if that was a little intense,” Amanda apologized meekly. “As you’ve probably guessed by now, I make a pretty okay villain.” She giggled nervously, fidgeting with her hands in front of her.

“Oh, I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them.”

Henry'd walk onto the area, almost tripping over his feet in his awkwardness, his little ukulele strapped onto his back. He'd clear his throat as he stood in front of the group, before giving them a small smile.

"Hi, I'm Henry. I'm gonna be singing She Used to Be Mine from the musical Waitress, originally by Sara Bareilles...I, uh, didn't prepare a monologue, so, ah, sorry about that." He'd mumble, wincing slightly as he strummed his uke for a second to tune it last minute.

Henry'd clear his throat before starting, his eyes darting from his uke, the others and the back wall.

"It's not simple to say,
That some days I don't recognise me,
that these shoes and this apron,
that place and its patrons,
Have taken more than I gave them
It's not easy to know
I'm not anything like I used be, although it's true
I was never attention's sweet center
I still remember that girl.."

Henry's song You can basically have a quick look at that and see his song and sort of what he sounds like, but he's a little bit of a lower pitch and isn't as fancy. His main bit is around the 2 minute mark.

Taking a deep breath once he'd finished, he'd slowly stop strumming before nodding his head in a little bow and quickly walking off stage.

Sonya watched as the next girl, who introduced herself as Lillian, sit and play the piano. She then started to sing with lots of emotion. Sonya smiled, emotion was something she greatly appreciated. The girl finished and she clapped. "Good job! See you at the first meeting!"

Riley
Reducio
As the girl left the stage a boy entered with a guitar. The boy, Riley, started off with One Song Glory. Sonya was very fond of Rent, so she enjoyed the excellent portrayal of Roger from this boy. He then went on with his monologue from Spring Awakening. Although it was a sad monologue, Sonya heard a small smile. Riley was good at drama, which could prove excellent for future roles. "Thank you! See you at the first meeting!"

Amanda

Sonya watched as the next girl, Amanda, came up and slated. She began her song, showing that she had quite a strong voice. Sonya smiled, she already liked Amanda's vocals and stage presence. The girl then did her monologue, yet again showing an excellent presence. "That was great! See you at the first meeting!"

Henry

Sonya smiled as a boy walked on stage. He seemed a bit nervous, tripping over his feet as he walked. Henry then did his song from Waitress. That was another musical she really liked. He had a great voice and a wide range of emotion. "Great! See you at the first meeting!"

"Head up, posture straight, look confident." She thought as she prepared to walk onto the stage. She walked as the last person passed, holding her monologue in her hand as she walked in front of the girl. She believed the name was Sonya. She turned to face her. She didn't look nervous. She was wearing jeans and a green sweater, which was the tightest thing she brought considering all her clothes were baggy since her father thought she'd grow into them someday, yet here she was. Still short. It didn't bother her though. She made eye contact with the girl, smiling.

"Hello, my name is Sylvie Maple, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Today I'm going to do a monologue from the point of view of Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and I'll be singing 'What's wrong with me' from Mean Girls." She said, holding her monologue to her chest. She'd read this book in English class at her old school. She had been the one to read this monologue to the class. She loved it, so she decided to do this one now. She grabbed a random object from backstage to act like a bush she was hiding behind for the start of the monologue. She emerged from behind the object, looking to stage left as if she had just heard the news of a lifetime, acting as if she was confused, surprised, and in love all at the same time.

"What fire is in mine ears? Can this be true?  Stand I condemn'd for pride and scorn so much? Contempt, farewell! and maiden pride, adieu! No glory lives behind the back of such. And, Benedick, love on; I will requite thee, Taming my wild heart to thy loving hand: If thou dost love, my kindness shall incite thee
To bind our loves up in a holy band; For others say thou dost deserve, and I Believe it better than reportingly."

Okay, now it was time for the song. She smiled at Sonya with a look of confidence, even though she was so nervous. She didn't sing in front of people often because she hated the feeling. She sighed and started singing.
Song It's a little higher than this

She finished, continuing to pretend that she was confident, but after this, she was going to go and hide under the covers of her bed and hide from the whole world. For now, she said, "Thanks for having me," in a polite tone, and turned on the spot, making her way off the stage. Right when she was out of sight, she crumpled onto the floor, her face bright red. "I can't believe I just did that..."

Her shoes tapped lightly against the wood of the floor as she stepped up. A smile rested on her face. She looked and felt like she could run for miles. "Hello," she said, "I'm Koko, but for this call me Red." She didn't say where she had gotten the monologue, because she had made it up.

(rapping)"My grandmother's dead?
No, no, just earlier she was lying in her bed.
I'm not gonna believe any of this ish!
Not from you, the wolf, who needs a meeting with my fist.

(Normal talking) Grassy Meadows and silver springs I have crossed to get here, to deliver these sweets to Grammy, and you tell me she is dead? You lie.

(Back to rap) wolf's teeth, you say?
You murdered our sheep; you'll pay.
Bloody knives and broken claws
Let's go and put your life on pause, love.

Koko had acted it fairly well, even bringing tears to her eyes as she brought up the realization that Red's Grammy had died. She then strode towards the piano that sat in the room, and she slowly sat down on the bench, relaxing he fingers over the keys. ”And now I’ll sing a little. Just for you all to get an idea of my range.” She didn’t feel uncomfortable. Not yet. But she might as she decided she would sing one part of each song, and two different songs.

She knew the notes by heart, and her fingers moved in sync with her lips:
”I think of you from time to time
More than I thought I would
You were just too kind
And I was too young to know
That’s all that really matters...
I was a fool

Baby, we built this house
On memories
Take my picture now,
Shake it till you see it
And when your fantasies
Become your legacy
Promise me a place
In your house of memories”

That was the lower range. Once she got through that without any flaws other than a small finger slip on the keyboard, she would burst into the next song:

Sweet, Boy,
Straight out of the movie screen
Candy hearts and chocolate dreams

I, met, my prince upon a popcorn ball
He held my heart and let it go

Ice, cream upon a summer’s day
Beginning sweetness never stays

Melting through the cracks in my hands
I guess I held on far too long!

I’m done, with your Bittersweet, Bittersweet Tragedy!
It’s no fun, when I’m sitting all alone; you’re right in front of me!
And I’m done, with your bittersweet, bittersweet tragedy!
It’s no fun, when I’m sitting all alone; you’re right in front of me.

She had only played the chords with that one. It sounded better without her adding the melody. She finally grabbed her sheet music and rushed off, her cheeks slightly flushed with the embarrassment she hardly felt. It was time to go get some water and relax.

Cecilia nervously walked up to the stage when the previous auditioner had finished and walked down, tried not make as much sound as possible with the cane that was leading his way.

He had never been in the Rehersal Room and almost got lost on his way. But at last, he made it here. But now, he gotta face with something much more difficult – his anxiety.

Taking in a deep breath, he introduced himself with the confidant that he took from his father:
“Hello, My name is Cecilia, I’m a first year and a proud Hufflepuff!” He smiled softly “I will perform you Safe and sound from Hunger game and a scene from 'Little house on the prairie'”

After a short moment, the Rehersal room was flooded with nothing but his clear voice and the innocent vibe he brought along. He was a little bit shy at first. But then? He soon got carried away with the song, Cecilia truly became the character in the song. The person who got lost, scared and desperated. But also, the person who have the bravery, enough courage to protect who they loves, to give them solace and hope in the darkest time.
He slowly open his clouded eyes as the song faded at the last note gently.
Reducio
His song is basically this but more child like and slightly higher

He now prepares to act a scene from “little house on the prairie” when Eloise Taylor’s daughter – Ellen was found drowned. The pastor named Alden gave her the Bible book in order to comfort her when she got home from the funeral.

Cecilia untied his curly hair as he sat down in center stage position with a praying posture, his back faced the examiner. His eyes aimlessly staring at the space, face emotionless as if he was physically and mentally drained, as if … he had nothing left to loose. His face slowly looked up to the imaganary pastor and talked with the most emptied voice represents the absense of Ellen:

“Reverend…”

“I asked God for a miracle today. I prayed by my baby's grave. I asked him to make her alive again.”

He inhaled as he became more angry

“He can do that. He has done greater things than that!”
Cecilia slowly raised from his place to stand up, walked slowly toward downstage center

“Don't tell me it's not my place to question God. They're covering my baby out there with dirt”
Cecilia heighten up his voice then lowered it, the shaking feeling in his voice
“It'll be so dark”
Cecilia stopped a little bit as if he was thinking about Ellen and smiled at the memories of her
“My Ellen was always so afraid of the dark.”

Suddenly, he turned his head to the left, where the imaganary Reverend Robert Alden was standing, angrily raised the voice of a woman who thought she was betrayed, betrayed by her own belief.

“God doesn't care about me,… and God doesn't care about Ellen……"
"Don't you come around here no more. NO MORE!!”

Cecilia shouted in the twisted pain of the woman who he acted out.

After a short moment, Cecilia angrily grabbed the thin pad of papers that he prepared, throwing it to the pastor he imagined as he howled like a dying animal:
“AND TAKE YOUR DAMN BOOK WITH YOU!!”
***

The papers flew everywhere around him, making an unexpected visual effect. The scene ended and he was sitting there, a tear run down to his chin, his eyes widen in anger and pain…

Reducio
This scene was from "Little house on the prairie" season 4 ep 3

Cecilia finished his audition without stupid mistakes, that was a big new... he smiled, the pink color in his cheeks and nose became more visible as he said: "Thank you for listening!"

Astoria was very excited to be auditioning for the Theater Arts Club! She had been at Hogwarts for such a short time and her parents always told her to get active within the school. After signing up for some other clubs that were around Hogwarts, Astoria came upon this club and she wanted to do what she could to perform to the best of her ability.

Astoria was a singer, dancer, a pianist, a harpist, and a flutist. Even though she was an eleven year old, she still had more learning to do but at the same time, she was quite gifted with the performing arts. She wanted to do a three piece performance to show her talents. She was first going to perform a song that she heard once from her mother, then perform a dance that her father had taught her and then finally, finish with a monologue from the famous play, Romeo and Juliet by the amazing William Shakespeare.

Astoria waited in line until it was her turn to go in and audition. She wasn't sure if it was an audition for a play coming up or anything so she went in with all that she had. Coming into her performance, Astoria was dressed in a blue lace dress with long sleeves. There was small aspects of sequins on her dress that would catch the light just slightly.

"Hello, my name is Astoria Middleton and I'm a student of Hufflepuff. Today, I would like to give three different performances for my audition." Astoria continued with "I will first be performing a song called 'Lost in Thoughts All Alone' by Rena Strober to show passion, then I will be performing the jive to show my energy and stamina and finishing my performance will be my monologue of Romeo & Juliet"

It was her first part of the performance and Astoria was given the floor to do what she was to do. She first began with her song of choice, Lost in Thoughts All Alone by Rena Strober.

"You are the ocean's gray waves
Destined to seek
Life beyond the shore
Just out of reach
Yet the waters ever change
Flowing like time
The path is yours to climb

In the white light
A hand reaches through
A double-edged blade cuts your heart in two
Waking dreams fade away
Embrace the brand new day
"

The song seemed to enchant Astoria as she continued to sing. Her soul was all she was giving to the music and her voice was gentle and sweet, even in times of hardships with the song.

Once her performance was finished, Astoria gave a slight bow. "Thank you, now I would like to perform for you the Jive!" With a snap of the enchanted musical instruments, a flick of her hair, the music began and Astoria began her dance in high heels. She was doing the Jive! She spun, twirled and many of the sorts with sass, flair and excitement.

**Skip to 3:40 of the second link to see the Jive**

The second performance was finished. "Thank you once again. That was the end of my second part of my audition. Finally, I would like to perform a monologue for you from the famous play, Romeo & Juliet"

She went to pull up some props to give her that balcony scene theme and she took her post. She began her monologue...

"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.

She continued...

"Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.
"

And with that, it was scene! Astoria took her place back at the front of the stage and with a confident smile, she threw her arms to the side of her and gave one grand final bow. "Thank you so much for your time and allowing me the opportunity to perform for you!" Astoria stepped out of her audition feeling thrilled!
