He is a boy with quite an imaginative, bright mind, always searching for his next adventure in the wizarding world. A mind so brilliant that he often loses himself in his thoughts. Sometimes, he thinks so profoundly that he forgets about the conversation before him; if Benjamin is talking to someone, he might get distracted by the stuff around him. Other times, he can remain focused and contracted. Still, it all depends on whether or not he lets his imaginative, brilliant mind loose. In his parents eyes Benjamin is a well-mannered young boy who tries hard to be as hardworking as possible while struggling to let all his boyish energy loose in the world. He always seems to go into his imaginative world when reading a book or letting his thoughts fly high. Always trying to impress the teachers around him, he tends to forget that he is still just a young boy in his first year at Hogwarts.

- ☽ Observant by nature, he always wonders what magical spectacles he will see next. He lets his mind go into its most profound depths when reading a good book or experiencing something new for the first time. His accent is Devonshire Dialect, as he hails from Torquay, which sometimes embarrasses him since he prefers speaking traditional English around his peers at Hogwarts
- ☽ Messy curly hair, never giving a pair of scissors a single thought.
- ☽ He has quite a skinny build and is 57.2" or (152 cm) tall. Benjamin usually spends his time outside exploring the castle grounds or around his parent's house in Torquay after his big brother taught him to explore the magical world around him. Benjamin would play gobstones with his big brother Gavin when he could. When Benjamin was not playing with gobstones, he would prefer to sit inside his house with a good book and a cup of tea, maybe even some cookies if his mom made homemade ones. He is lightfooted and observant, always thinking a thought yet still seeking the thrill of adventure when the right opportunity arises.
- ☽ On a typical day, you'll notice his shy nature, never looking people directly in the eye, his quirky nature, always saying stuff before he has given the words much thought, mixed with the bag of a young boy with an imaginative imagination, and the expressions of a confused thinker.
- ☽ He prefers wearing clothes that fit loosely on his body so that he can move around agility without thinking about the consequences of not looking as formal as his parents would prefer. If he can get away with it, he likes wearing shirts that hang loose down his pants, as there is nothing he hates more than having his shirt tucked in. He prefers wearing hoodies, sweatshirts, and everything else that makes him feel ready to tuck into a warm sofa with cookies and a book.
- ☽ He enjoys cookies and drinking milk with honey to warm up in the autumn and winter. When it's summer, his tastebuds go a bit more formal, as he prefers tea with a lemon tart on the side.
- ☽ Benjamin is a boy who has plenty of boyish energy, just waiting for the right moment to escape into a world of books with stories and mysteries when the teacher or his parents aren't looking. At home, he would even go as far as to go outside and stare at the beautiful night sky after his parents were asleep.
- ☽ He is a troublemaker, sometimes trying to copy some of his muggle friends, they made pranks and mischief around the town with him when he was growing up. Once, they even got in trouble with the police, which made his mother furious, as Benjamin wasn't allowed to cause too much attention to himself.
History
Reducio
Benjamin was born to Priscilla and Patrick Mason. He was the second wizard born family member in the family. His older brother Gavin was in his 1th year at Hogwarts when Benjamin was born. Growing up, he and his brother had a very close relationship, and they would spend their evenings in the streets of Torquay playing gobstones together when Gavin was not at Hogwarts. He preferred spending time with his older brother when he was not getting homeschooled by his mother, Priscilla, always daydreaming about what mischief and adventures they would encounter next in their summer breaks together. Gavin was more adventurous than Benjamin and would often inspire him to go outside and explore more in the little town of Torquay. Which was something that Benjamin hated, especially when he was in the middle of a great book.
The family didn't lack anything, nor did the two brothers, Benjamin and Gavin. However, the apartment was small for a family of four, as Gavin and Benjamin slept in the same bedroom. However, Gavin hadn't been living together with Benjamin for long, as he'd finished Hogwarts when Benjamin turned 7. After Hogwarts, he spent a few years with his family until he went to study to become an Auror. Benjamin had friends around the neighborhood called Felix and Edmund; they were muggles, which wasn't something that his mother, Pricilla, approved of. She was scared of getting in trouble with the Ministery of Magic, which made her demand that Benjamin promise that he would not expose the magical world to anyone in the neighborhood.
On the other hand, his father was impressed by the muggles and their inventions, which was probably also why they lived amongst muggles. His father wanted them to grow up experiencing both worlds. At home, they would see magic at work, washing their dishes and making everyday life easy. Once, his father even came up with the great idea to make them wash their plates themselves, which made Benjamin and his mother question his sanity for a short while. Benjamin often played with Felix and Edmund, running around and seeing what the city had to offer. Sometimes, Benjamin would even come home to Felix, where he would see how the muggles lived, and every time, it shocked him that they didn't use magic in their homes. One time, Benjamin even learned that you take away your plate after dinner from Felix's mother, who'd gotten angry at him for not cleaning up after himself. Benjamin didn't have many friends growing up, but he did have Felix and Edmund, who were always by his side.
His upbringing was a strange one, as a wizard born living in a muggle world. Yet, his parents were happy and didn't lack anything; they were, in other words, content with being middle-class wizard citizens in a muggle environment. It was rare for magical-gifted parents to find any interest in muggle affairs; that couldn't be said about his father, Patrick Mason, who had a shop in Diagon Alley where he sold magical bits and pieces. When Patrick wasn't at work, he would take his youngest son, Benjamin, out for a stroll around Torquay to learn about the muggle's inventions. Once, they even found a basketball cap while walking in a park in the city, which quite frankly excited his father so much that he let out a childish sound of excitement. Benjamin had never been as embarrassed as he was then, as some muggles began staring at both of them, probably wondering what was happening inside Benjamin's father's head, making childish voices in public with a child. It didn't improve the situation when some muggles started staring and whispering about them in the park.
His mother, Priscilla, on the other hand, was a stern woman compared to his father; after all, she worked as a secretary in the Ministry of Magic. ''It is not everybody who has the abilities to work at the Ministry,'' she would often say around the dinner table in the family apartment. Although she only worked part-time to homeschool Benjamin, she did the same with his bigger brother, Gavin. Her dream of being a Hogwarts professor was still absolute, although every time she applied for the position, she would never get it; maybe it was her stern personality that made it hard for her; perhaps it was also why she tried so hard to teach her sons the basics of being wizards before they started at Hogwarts. Benjamin can clearly remember the days when he sat in the apartment and heard about the wizarding world. She could go on and on for hours about Magical Creatures, which didn't interest Benjamin quite a lot. He was more interested in learning about astrology and everything else, about stars and their signs. As Benjamin was about to turn 10, he got star binoculars for his birthday; he had never been so thrilled before that day.
First Instance of Magic

Once upon a time, when Benjamin was 6 years old, he was walking home with his mother; the streets were filled with lights. When the two finally got to their apartment, one light suddenly went out by their door, so his mother couldn't see the keyhole. This gave Benjamin quite the shock, actually so huge that he started crying while looking up at the tall lampost, and with a flash, the light suddenly began shining again.
