Old Times Will be Missed Solo

It was a beautiful day In the northern of Norway. The morning sun heating up the dark cabin wall with its summer rays. River and Hunter had woken up early, like they always did, to go out by the lake and watch the sun rise and the birds fly out to see what this new unexplored day had to offer.
River, as always, had her book with her, and Hunter had brought his sketch book and his well known, and well used, blue pencil with a sticker of a sunflower stuck on near the eraser of the pencil. There, by the lake, they would sit in silence and admire the beautiful nature they were so lucky to be surrounded by. And they would sit like that for as long as their calm minds allowed.

They had spent the last couple of days exploring the forests a little north of their cabin, and had fpund many interesting things on their way. Like bones of some sort of animal «Don’t touch it!» River told Hunter as he was about to pick up one of the bones.
They had found some berries near the hiking path, «Do you think they’re edible?», Hunter asked. «Let’s not risk it» River answered him.
They even stumbled upon a moose on their way back to the cabin. «Woah! Look how big it is!», said Hunter excitedly, and pointed towards the tall animal. «Shh! Don’t scare it away!», River whispered.

These last few days had been incredible. All the adventures they had experienced together, all the fun places they had discovered, and all the delicious food they had eaten with their family around the campfire in the sunset.
«It’s so sad tomorrow’s our last day here, and we have to go home», Hunter said with a sad tone lingering in his voice. River looked up from her book, and out onto the magnificent lake, «Yeah... It’s sad how this is our last week here before we move», River sighed and looked down into her book again.

«Well let’s not spend all of this beautiful day sitting here when there’s so much we can do! This is our last chance, and I’m sure we’ll have lots of time to draw and read when we move.» River said eventually, breaking the peaceful calm silence that had been lying thickly in the air.
«Children! Breakfast is ready!», They could hear their mum calling them from the cabin, and the smell of eggs and bacon hit their noses. «Well, I guess those fun things will have to wait til after we eat», Hunter said, and smiled up at River. "I want the last cookie for dessert", River said as Hunter was packig up his things. "Not if I beat you to it!", Hunter answered mockingly, and started running in direction of the cabin, while laughing heartily. River laughed, and started running as well. It was a nice day, I'll miss those days...
