Luna did not have any class in the afternoon, but the girl did not want to hang around Hogwarts. She was going to stay in her dorm or went to the library to read books at first, but her last decision was going to the owlery. She wrote three different letters, one for her dearest mother, one for her father, and the last one is for her little brother. There hadn't been anything special happened since the last time she sent her family an owl, but that did not stop her from sending letters to them.

There was no one other than Luna in the owlery. She wondered where were the other students? But the little Slytherin quickly forget about that after she saw a white owl. Her hand gently patted him on his head. This was not her owl, he was one of the school owls. However, she usually used him to send letters, that was why their relationship was quite good. Although she would prefer to be able to use her own owl instead of using school owls. Maybe she would ask her parents to have a pet and being allowed to bring it to school? It would be nice if they agree... "Miss me, little guy?" A smile showed up on her face. It would be nice if she could feed him too, sadly the girl couldn't. When she was going to give him the letters, Luna heard someone's footstep. It was more normal if there were more people here, so the girl just simply ignored that person.

Florentia was in a grump. Despite being hundreds of miles from Dorchester her mother was still able to keep tabs on her.

Stomp, stomp, stomp.

Her feet rose repetitive and heavy on the steps, thumping out an irritated and persistent beat. It didn’t matter one iota that her sister had cried, or that the item involved wasn’t hers. Florentia was beyond annoyed.

Stomp, stomp, plunk!

The top stair to the owlery had been loose for a while, a graft of stone set at an odd angle from too many tiny feet of the years. Flora stopped, tapping it lightly with her foot, for a moment distracted. She felt like kicking the stone but for all good reason resisted. It was not the done thing and even the brattishness of her younger sister Cecily couldn’t force her into doing something so naughty.

Of course, it all related back to the beautiful emerald feather quill Cecily had received at Christmas that year. She barely used it, barely even knew it existed. So Florentia had taken it. She would make much more out of it than her seven year old sister could. Of course, young Cecily noticed its absence the minute it was moved from her bedside table and even far away in Scotland, its exact locations had been surmised. Florentia had received a rather irate howler from her mother that morning ordering her to send the quill back forthwith.

Pausing at the owlery door Florentia sighed angrily. It wasn’t fair. Nevertheless, an order from mother was an order. Florentia placed her hand on the door and pushed. The mucky, musty aroma of feathers and droppings hit her like a falcon to the face. Instantly Florentia wrinkled her nose. This was the reason she avoided animals.

“Merlin it pongs!” she cried, to no on in particular, at first thinking herself alone.

When Luna heard the girl's voice, she felt kind of familiar, and if she was not wrong, they had met each other before. She stopped giving the owl the letters and started to wonder where she met the girl. After a few seconds, she finally remembered that place, and why she talked to her. It was when the keys of the Slytherin's quidditch room was lost, and why she was finding it, she had to help the girl with that big couch. Using had to was a bit too much, since Luna wasn't forced to do it, she did it because the keys might actually be down there...

"This is the owlery after all." With a calm voice, she continued giving the letters to the owl. She believed that this Slytherin girl would get used to this soon because if Florentia wanted to send owls to her family, she had to come here again. Should Luna say thank you to her little brother? After all, he was the reason why she got used to this. She was pretty sure that she would be just like Florentia since the girl was a Pure-blood, who came from the Choi family. Her little brothers really loved animals, and she usually went out with him, as his sister.

Awful. Absolutely awful.

Bird poo was something else altogether, mostly because it was so gosh darn tacky after several weeks of drying. Still standing at the top of the stairs Florentia gingerly prodded with the clean end of her shoe. While the base of the owler was utterly smitten with faeces, it was at least suitably dry. Still wearing a look of utter disdain the young girl stepped out, casting a furtive glance at her fellow Slytherin classmate.

"You're right, of course." she muttered, still note entirely convinced of her being there.

Luna herself seemed rather at ease. Of course Flora instantly recognised her as the girl was rather unmistakeable with her lavender hair and quiet manner. More to the point, lifting heavy objects was want to bind young girls together. The Choi girl already had a bird at hand and was clearly half way through sending her own mail.

An idea struck and a sweet smile fanned across her lips.

"Hey, you don't fancy doing me a favour and posting this for me? I'd be ever so grateful. You know. Things to do."

She shrugged nonchalantly, twirling the stolen quill in her fingers. If she could get away with the job done and without having to go within feet of one of the dirty, angry birds her day would be made.

And... goodbye Miss or Mister Owl. To be honest, sending an owl had never been a problem to her and would never be. But if there was, she would be really surprised. These owls were not that scary, they wouldn't bite you. And even if they did, simply just told the professor about it, proving that you told them the truth and yes, problem solved.

Turning back again, she saw the brown hair showed her a beautiful smile on her face. That was weird and kind of scary. She didn't know what this girl was up to but, this worried her. Imagine someone you had met only twice, suddenly looked at you when you weren't noticing and then smiled. It was really, really weird. So, what did this girl actually wanted? She wouldn't ask her though, let's just ignore it.

"Miss, if I am not wrong you are asking me to... send this owl for you?" Luna repeated, almost raised her eyebrows but managed to still keep the calm face. Of course, she wouldn't mind doing it. If she accepted, that would help the girl, however, how would the girl send owl next time she came here without Luna? Asking another person? Well, nope, she would refuse. "Sending an owl is not hard at all. Are you trying to prove that you can not even do a simple thing like this?" Was that... too harsh?
