Lexi is a young girl with a ghostly white complexion and tall lean build, coming in at around 153.7cm. Her shiny platinum-blonde hair falls a few inches below her shoulders, framing her face and accentuating her softer facial features. Accentuating her look are her icy pale blue eyes, which provide a bit of color to an overall solemn appearance. Seeing as she is constantly running cold both internally and to the touch, Lexi often wears a scarf and gloves along with her uniform.

As a quiet and introspective young witch, Lexi prefers to be huddled up with a good book rather than leading a conversation with others. These reserved tendencies don't stem from coldness or an anti-social nature; she is warm and amiable when others take the first steps. Her passionate personality especially shines through when discussing topics in which she has a keen interest, like history (muggle and wizardry alike), magical creatures, or astronomy. Unfortunately, due to her pragmatic temperament, her attempts at humor are typically regarded as somewhat awkward and dry, so she tries to avoid using it altogether. This does not mean that she can't appreciate the wit of others, though; she’s quick to laugh at jokes, finding genuine amusement in even the simplest quips. Her very lively and wholehearted laugh often catches people off guard, given her typically cold appearance. Though it's difficult to provoke the young witch, she is still half-Veela; those who go too far will cause a hot intensity in Lexi and may be on the receiving end of a fiery temper that is as rare as it is unforgettable.

Lexi Medford was born September 12, 2011, to Regina and Jerimiah Medford of York, England. She has one sister on her father’s side named Simona, who is 17 years her senior. Simona had left home before Lexi was born to pursue a career in Alchemy after a once-in-a-lifetime internship opportunity in Germany. Though they never have officially met in person, they still often write letters to each other to maintain a good relationship.

Lexi's mother, Regina Medford, is a passionate and prideful Veela with a firey personality. She often struggles to maintain a steady source of income due to her easily set-off temperament; besides the occasional odd jobs she finds herself taking for a bit of extra cash when they need it, the family relies on Jeremiah as the primary breadwinner. Regina instead passes the time as a hardworking housewife; cleaning the home, making the food, and nurturing their young daughter. This ample time in eachothers company has caused a strong bond to form between mother and daughter. The empty hours they share together during the day are filled with strategy games, lively discussions, and lessons about the unique Veela heritage Regina is eager to pass on to Lexi. Jeremiah, in contrast to his wife, is a brilliant wizard with a more curious and humble personality. He works as a potion brewer and alchemist in the family-run Medford shop, where he concocts powerful brews at the request of other witches and wizards. To compensate for Regina's sporadic employment, he often has to work longer hours, which means he doesn’t see Lexi as much as he would like. Although their relationship is strong, it isn't quite at the point either party is satisfied with. To make up for it, he spends his days off from the hustle and bustle of a busy work life with Lexi; typically they bond over books, a great opportunity for him to pass on his extensive knowledge of the wizarding world to her.

Growing up, Lexi was always a bit isolated from her peers. Visually, she was almost indistinguishable from her full-human counterparts, yet she would get treated differently once her mother's heritage was made obvious. It was not quite the alienation she experienced but rather the hatred that she could sense hidden behind the local wizards and witches' eyes that truly made her feel different. This did not seem to affect her as harshly as one would think, though; Lexi preferred to be playing alone anyway. She still welcomed any other child who would want to join her and did love the company, but only at their initiation. Her parents were befuddled by this, though found it hard to complain considering the circumstances.

Thankfully, Lexi did not have to stay alone long; The Blackwells and Lofts, family friends to the Medfords, had children of their own only a year after Lexi was born. Unlike the other children in her town, the Blackwell and Loft kids shared a unique, open-minded approach to Lexi's mixed heritage. She was granted the blessing of true friends by Leon Blackwell and Hugo Loft, who would henceforth be her closest companions as she grew older. Leon was a rather shy kid, though he wasn't big into books like Lexi. He preferred to work with his father hands-on to gain knowledge on different aspects of the magical world. More often than not, he would be the one to tell Lexi things she did not know; he was the one to introduce her to many of her future interests, like astronomy. Hugo was the polar opposite, an extroverted kid with big dreams of being an Auror one day. It was not the brightest feather on the Phoenix, but a strong enough and kind enough to where it didn't really matter.

The three became inseparable after their initial meeting as toddlers. When not spending time with her mother or reading with her father, she was out with her compatriots, enjoying games of Gobstones or sneaking off to explore the muggle-populated parts of York. They relied on each other to share dreams, aspirations, goals, and desires—things none would dare tell their parents. Their friendship was valuable in teaching Lexi the importance of friendship, and though she had never been one to seek out companionship herself, she now saw why it was so important. Regina, in particular, was thrilled by her daughter's revelation.

It remained this way for a long time until school finally started, which inevitably led each of them down different paths. Lexi received a letter from Hogwarts on her twelfth birthday, an invitation her parents were all too happy to see her receive. This was her dream after all; the greats like Merlin went to the prestigious school... though she couldn't help but mourn what she would be losing. Spending every day with her mother and friends was all she knew; being alone was a scary prospect... but one she would have to face. As she headed off for her first year at Hogwarts, she made sure to establish an owl line with Leon and Hugo to keep in contact; by the time she would be back, they would have already left for their respective schools. The three still write to each other often to tell of the fantastical experiences each is having on their own, separate path.

Being only 13 and a second year at Hogwarts, a lot of Lexi’s story is yet to be told. Her past is just the catalyst that will set up her future as a studious, hard-working witch.
