Some peace of mind PV Closed

"Well, I'm pretty sure we have to be back in our common rooms by 10:00 pm, but I didn't even think to bring my watch with me" River Replied.

"I brought my watch, it's 7:00 so we have a bit of time before we have to head back," Jade said smiling.

Lilac felt relieved; it was early still. Come to think of it her homesickness didn't give her much of an appetite for dinner.

"So where are you two from, originally? I'm from Ireland, though you might of guessed that, I do have quite a strong accent" Said Jade

"I grew up on the island of Inis Mór with my Mum, just west of mainland Ireland" Replied Lilac.
"The townspeople in Inishmore, still consider my Mum and I to be newcomers, despite living there for the past eleven years! Mr Fisher a local farmer been there for 30 years almost and he still a newcomer too.
My father... “ Lilac hesitated for a bit; unsure whether to tell them, she figured if they didn't know now, they'd know soon enough; after all the whole cohort thought she was wondering if she was Gill's daughter.
"Well, he is a complete mystery." Pausing before speaking again. "Anyways, what about you River, are you from England?"

River adjusted her glasses slightly when Jade said "I brought my watch, it's 7:00 so we have a bit of time before we have to head back", River let out a sigh of relief and smiled. The air fell silent for a moment. River closed her eyes for a moment, just enjoying the fresh air.
So where are you two from, originally? I'm from Ireland, though you might of guessed that, I do have quite a strong accent" Jade asked eventually. River had assumed Jade was Irish when she heard her talking from the tree earlier.

My father... Lilac paused. River looked curiously over at Lilac, wondering why she hesitated. "Well, he is a complete mystery." Lilac said eventually. River became curious, but figured it was best not to ask. It seemed to be a sore subject for Lilac, and River respected that.
"Anyways, what about you River, are you from England?" Lilac said, breaking a moment of silence. "Well no, actually I'm originally from Norway." River answered. "It's a small country up north" she explained, remembering that most people she had met, had no idea where Norway was. My mom was from Norway, and my father lived in England his entire life. But he decided to stay with my mother when they met in Norway, and had me and my twin brother. River added, her hands started fidgeting. She had never really been very open about her family much, but she saw no reason not to mention them.
"I am really sorry about your father by the way" River looked up at Lilac.
Do you guys miss home? Or do you prefer being here at Hogwarts? She looked from Lilac to Jade.

"I miss home, mostly my parents and being able to go into the forest and watch the animals." Jade replied, she really did miss all the animals and her parents. Jade remembered the time she had managed to get her parents to climb a tree and their reactions to the view and the birds. Jade missed those days. "though Hogwarts is starting to become home too, its still not the same. Partly because I'm surrounded by strangers all day, all the noise and bustling of the other students. At least I've managed to make a few friends though." Jade said smiling at River and Lilac. 

Maybe Hogwarts won't be so bad, if I get to know those around me they won't be strangers. Though they might be enemies. Jade thought. Jade decided not to think about that. "What about you Lilac, do you miss home a lot or are you happy at Hogwarts?" Jade asked imploringly. Lilac reminded Jade of her Mom in someways, just a few things here and there. Jade thought it rather odd how someone can remind you of someone so much you almost think you're talking to them. But then Lilac didn't remind Jade of her Mom that much, just enough to make Jade think of her.

"Well no, actually I'm originally from Norway." River answered. "It's a small country up north. My mom was from Norway, and my father lived in England his entire life. But he decided to stay with my mother when they met in Norway and had me and my twin brother." Lilac was sure River seemed slightly uncomfortable about sharing such information for she was fidgeting.

"I am really sorry about your father by the way" Said River to Lilac. Lilac smiled weakly in return, another mystery in Lilac’s life to solve.

Do you guys miss home? Or do you prefer being here at Hogwarts? River said looking to and from the two girls. Jade answered first.

"I miss home, mostly my parents and being able to go into the forest and watch the animals. Though Hogwarts is starting to become home too, its still not the same. Partly because I'm surrounded by strangers all day, all the noise and bustling of the other students. At least I've managed to make a few friends though." Jade finished the sentence with a smile.

"What about you Lilac, do you miss home a lot or are you happy at Hogwarts?" Lilac sighed, "I'm constantly homesick, our common room reminds me of home, reminds me of the earth and the sea, and so does the lake, but its the only thing that helps, as for Hogwarts itself, magic is a very new concept to me, still taking it all in I guess." Lilac stomach grumbled. "I guess I'm hungry; The feast has probably already started, oh well... Perhaps the kitchen hands could give us some food when we get back."

Lilac said. River absolutely understood the feeling of being overwhelmed by this entire new world they had stepped into. She could hear a belly grumble, River giggled slightly.
"I guess I'm hungry; The feast has probably already started, oh well... Perhaps the kitchen hands could give us some food when we get back." Lilac said, and Eiver nodded agreeingly. "Yeah, I'm a little peckish too to be honest. I could definitely see myself having a sandwitch soon". She really hoped there was something they could get to eat when they had to go back inside.

I wonder what time it is... River thought to herself, but decided ot to ask again. It felt like there had only been a few minutes since she asked earlier. Time... It's a weird concept, isn't it? How it sometimes seems to fly away in an instant, but sometimes seems to move slower that a snail. When really, it moves at the same pace all the time., River got completely lost in thought, as she frequently does. Her mind drifted off, while looking out over the lake and the surrounding forests. Breathing calmly, it was so peacful there.

"yea, we should probably get heading back. Do either of you want help climbing down? It's not my strong suit so if you both can manage on your own I'm just going to drop down the branches till I can jump down safely without risk of injury." Jade asked

Ahh, such a shame we have to go now. It's so peaceful up here, and I was getting to know these two better. I think we'll make good friends. But man do I miss home, I hope we get to go back to Ireland this Christmas and visit Gan+Pops and Nana+Gramps, I miss them.  Jade thought looking out over the lake. This had been such a wonderful evening, talking and enjoying the view, Jade hoped there would be more to come.

Jade decided she should grab her bag and make sure everything was still in it. She looked inside it and everything was just as she had left it.  thank goodness, it would have been horrible if a seem had come loose or something, I really should secure the seems, they've been getting very fraid. I'll see if I have time tomorrow.  Jade thought with a sigh.
