Eleanor Shaw — First Year — Gryffindor

She is a small, bony girl, standing at around five foot or so. Usually worn down or in braids, her hair is wavy, auburn, and a little on the messy side. Her large eyes are brown-grey, framed by dark circles from nights of little sleep. She has an abundance of freckles marking her face and body, and easily flushed pale skin. Eleanor tends to wear mostly muggle clothes, opting for comfort over fashion. You'll most often find her in jeans and teeshirts.

Eleanor was a weird kid. Born into a loving muggle household with two intelligent parents, blessed with a sharp tongue and a clever brain, she was cute, but something was just a bit off about her. She had been, for most of her life, a quietly intelligent little thing with a few good friends and a deep love for adventures.
She tried to stick to herself, for the most part, preferring books to most of the other children, but rumors spread like wildfire through the local primary school about the weirdo girl who lived in the forest and could do impossible things when she got angry. They said she was a demon, that her parents bought her from dark fairies, and that she would cast curses on the other children. It hurt, losing all her friends to stupid rumors.
But Eleanor could actually do impossible things. That much was true. She wasn't sure about the faery bit- her parents swore she was a normal baby, and there were pictures, but Eleanor did have a habit of making things happen that she shouldn't be able to. It was difficult to control when mixed with strong emotions, as it almost always was.
She was quick to rise and on the occasion that things got out of hand, her parents were always there to try and calm her down. Eleanor loved her parents. Children were hard to connect to, but adults were sensible. She spent most of her time on her own hanging out in local cafes and libraries or exploring the wilderness surrounding the village, and because of this, her social skills are somewhat lacking.
