❂《 ⌜ --- ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔She would've declined though, heck, she wasn't thinking of giving Argahlon the attention that he wants. Starting this whole thing for no reason, spouting insult just when it was just a simple bump. Seriously though, people can be sensitive. Not like she isn't but still, she wouldn't be thinking of picking on someone just because they bumped into you.
Just shows how much this boy was quite spoiled, finally showing his true colors. This whole fight was nonsense for the Gryffindor girl, no merit at all and just a complete waste of time but he dared challenge her to a duel and Lea is here, willing to moderate it. She looked at her with a tired look, showing that she had enough and would probably be leaving anytime soon but…
"Alright." As much as she doesn't want to, running away would just make it worse but who can tell that everything will be over once this is settled in the duel. Not to mention, he's looking for trouble and that's what she'll give him. A duel… to be honest, she wants a break from duelling but if that is what she has to do to put a stop to things then fine. She made her way to the piste, wand at the ready. "Don't get too impatient, dumbass." She responded to him, still with that bored and unimpressed look on her eyes.

Raizel vs Argahlon

Evasion Check: [d20: 11] + 6 = 17

Well- perhaps they should have stuck with their fists. It seemed far more effective than their hits right now, or rather lack thereof as the two missed. Not that missing was terribly uncommon for duels- most spells seemed to miss, really- but it was just a bit humourous after they had succesfully shoved each other to the ground. Argahlon would go for the direct hit, trading in their punch for something with a similar feel, Flipendo. Despite their anger, or perhaps because of it, the cast worked but Raizel would outmaneuver the spell as it exploded into the wall of the duelling room instead and dissipated without a trace.
Raizel, on the other hand, was looking for a bit of punch but also something to keep Argahlon's spells away from her. Namely the Tickling Charm, a spell with a cute name but a rather painful and annoying experience. Argahlon luckily didn't have to experience that as he too managed to dodge out of the way of the spell, this one far too close for comfort yet not even grazing his skin as it shot past. It was almost impressive how close the spell got if not for how precarious that meant Argahlon had been. With a sigh, Lea would wait for the next round of spells. At the very least she was somewhat impressed they had actually taken up her request and acted like potentially mature students. Plus it would be curious to see how both Gryffindors fared with one seemingly new to the sport and the other known to duel upper years and lose pretty significantly. At least the two would be getting some more level experience.

Raizel continued to spew insults, but that did not bother the young Gryffindor one bit. He kept his gaze on the female with that same anger from before, just hoping that she would hurry up so he could end this as fast as possible. Then again, the thought of torture sounded much better than just finishing the duel right away. After all, Raizel deserved it more than she even knew, and Argahlon Vexius was going to make sure he would return the pain in the near future.
When Raizel finally made their way onto the piste, Argahlon already pulled the wand that was currently in his hand, and attempted to move the wand in the formation in a check mark with a slight hook upon the end. When the young Gryffindor finished the wand movement, he spoke in a clear tone to identify the spell of choice. "Flipendo!" And with that the attack launched from the wand and moved forward, but curved and slammed into the side of the Duelling Club walls. "Tch!" Escaped their lips, as the attack missed.
Within just a few seconds after Argahlon attacked Raizel, she ended up returning the favor. Unfortunately, neither of the Gryffindor students were able to connect with their spells. This did have Arg frustrated and ready to keep going at it until Rai was knocked out.

❂《 ⌜ --- ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔While this duel was a pain in the butt, as a duellist with her own pride, Raizel needed to treat it as any other duel that she had. That means strategizing, quick strategizing. Duelling is very much fast paced, one needs to know what spells they will use the moment they are on that piste. Being too slow will result in a miss as their movements become more readable but of course, the same goes for quick casting but that at least gives an element of surprise.
It was what she had learned from Dealla Prince, or simply, Dee. Be quick to catch your opponent off guard. And that's what she did. “Rictusempra!” Perhaps she wasn't fast enough in casting that as she just missed her target by a close margin or the Flipendo coming for her had affected her aim. At least she didn't get hit for she successfully dodged the other Gryffindor's attack.
Despite the annoyance that she's been feeling, somehow being on this duelling piste had made her calm enough to think about her actions, about her spells. Funny how this place that she's been trying so hard to avoid would provide such comfort in her dark times. Not like she's been successful at that since she was still practicing before this whole duel shenanigan happened.

This time would actually go a little better, but not by much. Anger seemed to mess with their focus and while casting spells was easy enough after the continuous repetition and memorization of what to say and how to wave a wand, connecting aim to target proved a more challenging issue. And yet, Argahlon seemed stronger with the concept this time around as he shot a Fire-Making Spell across the piste. Far more on point, Raizel would have to quickly snap into gear as she tried to avert the flames- a good attempt, but alas the sparks still found their purchase and burned at the fabric around her shoulder. It almost seemed to vanish in that instant, yet there was still a little life left in the flame as it continued its crawl.
Argahlon's flame not only hurt, but worked as a good distraction, keeping Raizel unfocused as she worked on casting the Knockback Jinx. Rather than finding her target, though, she found Lea- another person around, but definitely not a part of the duel outside of keeping them in line. The Hufflepuff found her way around the spell easily enough, a little less graceful than she would have liked due to the surprise of it, before shooting a look at the caster. "Keep your fight between you two." There was a warning in her tone, a strained focus that did not want to get tested. She generally had some admiration for Raizel and the effort she seemed to put in, yet a petty fight such as this one was not a good look.

With the duel just getting underway, Argahlon was beginning to get a feel for how things would go from now on, and with the wand in their right hand, he continued to point it at Raizel with the intention of hurting her. "Don’t get used to that." He stated, while positioning their feet better on the piste. In a clear voice, Arg spoke loudly once more. "Incendio!" And with the flick of the wrist, the flame conjured from the wand and flew right at Raizel. The attack was a success, burning the fellow Gryffindor’s shoulder. The robe sizzled and burned, but it didn’t seem to last very long. Long enough to distract her.
With both duelists firing away almost at the same exact time. Raizel ended up with a misfire that was aimed right towards Lea Hirsch! The Flipendo spell nearly hit her, but the Hufflepuff was quick enough to evade the spell gracefully. Arg only glanced back to see the Flipendo fly by Lea and crash into the duelling club’s wall. As he looked back towards Raizel a smirk began to form. "Wrong person, dorcus!" He called out, taunting the fellow Gryffindor once more. The anger was still there, but it was slowly receding into a more calm, yet competitive spirit.

❂《 ⌜ --- ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔For all her time duelling, Raizel knows it's only a matter of time before it strikes, her infamous bad luck. It's the very reason why she's slowly losing her interest in duelling. Despite the efforts that she's making, it wasn't being rewarded so why should she bother going through the pain? Well, it's just because she doesn't want to be seen as a quitter so she'll have to endure it despite all the bad luck that's clinging to her when it comes to fighting someone on the piste.
She's on fire but what's new really? But that sudden ember had distracted her and sent her Flipendo astray, sending it towards Lea. The older girl's remark had ticked her off a bit though. Not like she wanted to send it towards her and not like she wanted to be in this fight either. Still, she shook it off, not letting it get to her now that, despite the bad luck, her anger had subsided. “Don’t get too cocky.” She retorted although her voice was a lot calmer than the first time this fight started, even though she's literally on fire.
While she has an idea on how this duel will go, might as well just go along with it until the bitter end.

They were getting in the stride of things now, both seeming to calm down and focused more on the competition. It worked out well for Lea, no longer supervising angry toddlers and able to moderate a- somewhat- proper duel. She was hopeful that this would continue, but her gaze remained locked as she surveyed the two. Despite the same age with similar spells, the strategies and initial casts were tweaked even if both liked Flipendo. Argahlon clearly liked the spell more as he tried once more to hit Raizel with it. While both seemed to move in the same instant, the boy would accurately guess where the other was headed, a square hit that might have staggered Raizel as she looked significantly worse for wear. The flame still flickering around her shoulder didn't help, although the dodge attempt would snuff the warmth out with only a slight scent of smoke lingering.
While Argahlon was very direct, Raizel seemed more inclined for impediments- with damage as more of an added bonus rather than the main focus? This was speculation on Lea's part, but it seemed to fit their cast of Ventus. Despite the variety of distractions, it was in this moment that Raizel would properly find their rhythm with a strong gust that threatened to spiral towards the Hufflepuff as well. Lea would have been less than pleased, but she was saved this time as the full brunt of the force spiraled towards Argahlon with little chance for escape as it pushed him back and kept him in place. Finally it felt like a proper duel, a faint touch of a smile reaching Lea's lips as she awaited what their next moves would be.

When Raizel told Argahlon not to get too cocky, that was when the young Gryffindor began to smile wide and shift their feet to prepare for whatever was coming next. This dueling thing was something he didn’t even think he would enjoy, but the rage and anger had him enjoying every second, especially when the spells he used were successful. There was no denying that this was fun, but deep down Argahlon still wanted Raizel dead, even if he had to wait until later on, Arg would eventually keep striking Raizel when they would least expect it.
With the wand still gripped tightly in their palm, Argahlon stared down Rai and with another incantation in progress, Arg spoke clearly. "Flipendo!" He quickly aimed the wand towards his fellow Gryffindor and attempted to attack once more. It seemed that they both unleashed spells at the same time and both were very successful. Argahlon was struck with the intense Ventus spell that thrusted the boy back into the duelling club’s wall. "Tch!" Escaped their lips, as Argahlon finally pushed off the ground to help get back to their feet.
The pain was still present along with the anger he had for this girl, but when he would get angry, that was when their spells began to trickle out. That only means that Arg would have to focus and not allow their emotions to get the best of them if they wanted to be precise with their spells.

❂《 ⌜ --- ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Breathe, focus, eyes on the price.
Hand steady, clear mind, Raizel has her emotions under her control right now. Funny what duelling does to her body. Despite the pain from the spells that her opponent just shot at her and the annoying feeling of standing here before this boy that she doesn't even want to see for the rest of her life, she kept her composure. One thing that she doesn't want happening in a duel is losing focus and being unable to act as a result.
While it was unfortunate that her opponent's spell had hit her, she was glad to see how her Ventus turned out, looking so powerful when it hit the boy's body and the lingering effect of it enveloping him. That had put a smile on Raizel's face, the adrenaline still kicking in and helping in reducing any pain and not like these are all new to her. She's a duellist, she had stood on this piste countless times, fought against others even those who are a lot older than her, endured a hopeless 3v1 situation until the bitter end and even managed to strike one of their opponents down when her teammates were freezing up.
She's going to stand till the bitter end.
