In the evening

Angela had finished her last class of the day and started her homework. She had an hour to spare since her last class. The young girl was rather well-organized, as she tried to do all her homework in advance so as to have less to do during the week. Her weekends were consequently very studious. Tonight she had a Botany homework due the next day. Luckily, the first-year had already got off to a good start, and now there was just one question left and the red and gold would have finished her homework. Except this question wasn't the easiest. Concentrating on her task, she was surprised to hear her stomach growl because it was hungry. The Gryffindor then looked at her watch and saw that it was 7pm.
*What! Already! I didn't see the time go by. It must have been an exciting assignment. Anyway, I understand why my stomach is acting up.*
With that in mind, the first-year headed for the Great Hall for dinner. Once there, the red and gold girl saw three Serdaigles who seemed friendly. At first glance, anyway. She also saw that there was an empty seat in front of them. The young girl sat down.
"Good evening, may I sit here? May I make your acquaintance? Or would you prefer me to join my Gryffindor classmates?"
223 words.
Do you like this start? How do you like my English? I'm a foreigner and I'd like to know if I make mistakes.

Marcie was absuloutly STARVING she'd missed lunch while reading one of her mystery books in the the common room, she had always had a great deal of trouble with time managment while at her muggle public school. She scurried down to the great hall and enterd, she sat down on the bench at a table and began to hurridly eat, her book had ended the chapter with quite a cliff hannger and she despretly wanted to find out what was going to happen to the main character and her detective partner.

She was playing through the scenario in her mind then somone sat down next to her and said somthing. "May I make your acquaintance? Or would you prefer me to join my Gryffindor classmates?"" She didnt catch the first bit cause she then realized the the girl was Gryffindor, then she suddenly comprehended the question she had been asked and so she quickly answered. Oh, uh yeah, thats ok. and scooted over to give her more space to sit. She would have asked more about the girl and mabye be a bit more sociable like all her family would like her to be, but she didn't like to socialize unlike many, so she kept quiet and zoned out once more to continue to solve her mystery.

yup, ur english is great!👍

Inara walked over to the Ravenclaw table after a long potions lesson. Sitting down, she noticed a Gryffindor Girl walk over. She said, "May I make your acquaintance? Or would you prefer me to join my Gryffindor classmates?" Inara smiled, this was a chance to make new friends! Ignoring the rules that you were supposed to sit down at your own house table(She doubted the teachers would notice anyway), Inara said, "Hello! Its nice to meet you! Of course you can join us!" Inara's fellow Ravenclaw classmate scooted over to give the girl some room to sit. Inara did the same. "So what's your name?" Inara asked the girl. Inara wasn't very social, and normally she wouldn't do this. Now feeling embarrassed and a bit shy, she gazed around the great hall. She hoped the girl(whose name she didn't know yet) Wouldn't get in trouble for sitting at the Ravenclaw table. She wondered if she should tell her.... Had the girl even heard her? Inara got lost in her train of thought... She was thinking about that History of Magic essay she had to write later, and what she would write. Inara ate while doing this, and she didn't look up until she heard sombody speak....

Yes I agree with Marcie!
