The girl who gets the grades
December 3rd, 2023. Lucy, dressed very simply with light blue jeans and a brown oversized hoodie was sitting in the library, two books, quills and some parchment in front of her. She was seated near a window, and she could clearly hear the afternoon rain. It was nice rain: strong and cold. The girl was finishing her transfiguration assignment, the one that was due for two weeks from now. It was a thing with Lucy. She always did school work as soon as possible. But at this moment, she missed her iPod, she missed regular pens and notebooks. Yes, writing with quills was fun in September, cool in October, normal in November. But now she missed her ballpoint pens. She was definitely asking for pens for Christmas. Not even fancy pens, just pens that wrote.
— Ok, Rory Gilmore's mindset. I just have to finish this, and study for that Herbology test and I'll be done for today.
So she continued, music in her mind, wondering why wizards seemed to be so detached from music. Music was Lucy's life, her essence. The first thing she'll do when she'll get home for Christmas? Listen to music. The last thing she'll do before coming back to Hogwarts? Listen to music. And with that, she finished her transfiguration assignment. The girl put back her books and parchment in her bag, before getting out another book, her Herbology notes and a new piece of parchment. It's when she was doing her study sheets that she missed muggle pens the most. How was she supposed to do a nice and clear presentation with a feather and some black ink?

The girl who gets the grades
Alyx walked into the library with a small bag in hand. She scanned the room for a moment, looking for a friendly looking place to sit, before spotting a girl who looked to be about her age writing down on a parchment, and with a deep breath Alyx decided to sit next to her. Alyx sat down and neatly placed her bag next to her, taking out a parchment, a small bottle of ink, and a plain quill. Alyx faintly smiled to the girl and greeted her timidly, "Hello there" Alyx took out her own herbology notes, which were quite plentiful, then she glanced over to the girl next to her, noticing she also had herbology notes, and Alyx smiled widely, her voice louder than it was before "Oh you're working on herbology homework right now? thats great, I am too! Can we sha-" Alyx caught herself and quickly quieted her voice, an appologetic look on her face growing, "Oh sorry if i spoke too suddenly and bothered you. it's just...I enjoy herbology quite a bit and i'd like to sudy with you, maybe share notes, if you don't mind of course..." Alyx smiled politely at the girl, not wanting to seem rude or bother her from her studying and working, but still wanting to create a friendly air about her.
