Little puppy!

Pfft.

"Good fetch Danny Boy!" Colin knew he would have to pay later, but right now it was so much fun to taunt Dan! And why not? After being demolished in the tickle fight, and what with all of Dan's shite talking, it was about time the older boy got some pay back!

Colin hopped about and made a face at Dan as he went running to fetch his wand. Like a good doggo! "Oo, I see the cat's got yer tongue, Dan! No --- wait. He's got yer whole face!" This was so exciting! Colin felt so in the moment. Just him and Dan and nothing but magic between them. By rights, Dan should have won with the first spell cast. He probably knew loads of high power dark curses and things that Colin had no awareness of.

Yet here they stood. Even if he lost, Colin would count this as a technical victory, if for no other reason than that he was able to back Dan into a corner this way! Well. There was nothing for it! Colin knew he couldn't outlast Dan, so the only obvious course of action would be to charge into the fray with every ounce of strength he had remaining!

Colin shook himself like a dog. He gave Dan his best, most imposing stare. This battle would soon be over. and only one of the boys would remain standing. "Ye're going down Dan me lad!"

Dan was REALLY beginning to get mad now. Having been disarmed, and now what would essentially be gagged by Colin?
After this wore off, Dan would have a retort for this. But as it stood now, well... That wasn't going to happen yet.

Satan help you when I can cast again, McCoire. Because God sure as hell won't be able to.

Dan knew that all this was simply prolonging the inevitable. Colin could not possibly beat him, but it was probably time to get serious before the brat got a lucky shot with something that actually mattered.

He grabbed his wand, and decided to try to cast anyway, despite mimblewimble's meddling. He glared at Colin with the fury of 20 Irishmen. Vengeance would be swift and without mercy. Colin had crossed a Palmer, a Slytherin, AND an Irishman. Honestly, Dan was unsure how someone could possibly be stupid enough to do that, when each component of that was bad enough on its own.

Those were queries for after the duel. If even then. Right now, Dan wanted to go back to the dorm, and play with Loki. So he had to put the annoying, yappy puppy dog to bed already.

Dan wins!
The comments were a bit ironic considering what happened next. Had Colin jinxed it or was it an inevaitable outcome of duelling someone years above your level?

Anyways, this was the last set of spells Alyssea was going to see today. She still didn't know what they were or what they did. She'd find out eventually as the year progressed.

Colin sent out a Flipendo which missed Dan by a long shot. Alyssea jumped up from where she was sitting. Having half a mouth doesn't ruin your dodging chances, she figured. Why should it, anyway? She half-expected Dan to stay silent until the tongue-tying disappeared. But nope.

If you weren't listening properly, you would almost miss Dan's spell. But against all odds, it was successful. And to top it all off, it hit Colin.

Alyssea watched as the spell took hold of Colin. The laughs were honestly a bit unnerving as he fell to the ground. A laughing curse? Alyssea was throwing around guesses at this point. She could only hope she'd never have to experience that.

Seeing that Colin couldn’t stand, Alyssea cleared her throat. "Uhm, I think Colin's knocked down?" She was really bad at this, but can you blame her? It was the first duel she was watching, after all. "So, Dan wins!"

Was she supposed to do something else after this? She didn't know any spells to help Colin. "Do we... get him to the Hospital Wing?"

"Flipendo!" Colin shot off his spell! He watched as it flew towards Dan! Inwardly he groaned: the Irish boy dodged out of the way so easily! He had to admit Dan was pretty good at this. He wondered if he himself would grow to be that graceful and powerful.

Colin snapped out of his reverie just as Dan mumble-wumbled his counter spell. Oh crap! Dan really looked mad, and more so because he could barely speak! Somehow, though, Dan managed to fling a solid jinx Colin's way. It came on so strong that Colin had no chance to evade! It smacked right into his chest! "Rictusempra!

The spell washed around Colin and lifted him into the air! Colin couldn't help but laugh! It wasn't his normal laugh, but was more forced. The laughing curse did that to one! Colin felt out of breath with all the laughing! As he flew through the air, he watched as the walls and the ceiling passed by. How odd! Colin thought that he was floating and the room passed him by. He laughed maniacally! How he would love to tell Kim and Sophia about this experience!

BAMP!!

Colin landed with a solid thump on the hard floor of the piste, his arms and legs outstretched like an asterix.

The world disappeared and Colin swam in the darkness, not knowing what happened outside.

As mimblewimble wore off, Dan smirked. He was a little disappointed that he wasn't able to light Colin on fire again, burning off the last thing he had on. The humiliation of THAT would have been exquisite.
Still, he had more than shown the mongrel what it meant to cross a Palmer. Even when they were like Dan, and more Quidditch inclined, crossing a Palmer was never a good idea. Almost as bad as crossing a Slytherin, which Colin had also managed to do.

He walked up to Colin, unconscious on the floor. Kind of similar to how he had been before; except the body bind curse left him rigid. He was fully relaxed here. Dan, truly, didn't care.
The first thing he did was hold a finger to his nose to ensure Colin was still breathing. He was. There really was no reason for him NOT to be. but Quidditch had conditioned him over the years to ALWAYS check that.

While there was equally little reason to take him to the hospital wing; the injuries were hardly serious, Dan decided maybe they should. He was no medic, and figured there was nothing to lose by taking him there.

"Aye, sure. I'll handle that."

Dan walked over to Colin's shoes. It was a bit surprising to him that Colin wore these to the duel. He didnt wear them any other time, or roughly 98% of the time. An even odder choice, considering he abandoned them the SECOND he saw that Dan was dueling barefooted. Hm.

Dan removed the laces, returned to Colin, and proceeded to bind his hands behind him, followed by his ankles. The last thing he needed was Colin waking up and trying to re-wrestle him or squirm away when he was taking him to the Hospital wing and ACTUALLY injuring himself. Or making an injury he already had that Dan was not aware of even worse. Which Dan could tell full well would be the first thing he did if he woke up with Dan carrying him.

He picked up his own shirt, then Colin's, draping them over him, before slinging the (not by too much) smaller boy over his shoulder. The Hospital wing was very close by, to Dan's relief. Great planning putting the Dueling Club that close to it.
Although, Dan had to dock several points from that for making them on different floors, regardless of how close to the stairs they both were.

He turned to Alyssea.

"Thanks fer watchin' over the duel, lass. ....I promise I 'ent kidnappin' him. We're goin' to the Hospital Wing. But Im'a go now. Would only be better if I got there faster before he wakes up."

And so Dan, carrying the silver haired, wolf-boy brand sack of potatoes on his shoulder, made his way out of the Dueling club, making his way to the Hospital wing.
