Mari didn't seem too surprised when she heard Landon say he lost points for his handwriting, Mari knowing Hogwarts as she did knew that due to the requirement it would most likely be " Eish... .what a shame, right!" Mari simply replied, if that happened to her she definitely wouldn't put in the effort to write a group assignment at another time
"Thank you... I see we share the same opinion!" admitted Mari, that as much as it cost her to admit, Mari agreed with Landon because he was also a good scholar, companion, he would have been... .yes, the only one so far with whom Mari got along well, she hated those who always wanted to do everything, not wanting Mari to give even a suggestion, but what she hated most were those who left all the work to her. her, that's why... unfortunately, these 2 types of students had already fallen into her hands.
While the two were packing their things, Mari's diary fell, she didn't notice, she only noticed when she saw Landon crouching down to pick it up, she quickly picked it up first, closing it and putting it back in her bag, she was surprised by Landon's question , the notebook opened to the page of what would happen a few days later, October 28th. the famous Quidditch game between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, she was clearly going to attend because she was one of the members there " Ah... hm, yes! I'm a Chaser! There will be a game now on the 28th ." Mari said to Landon
"I never tried to hide the fact that it is my intention to be the best"
"-I'm not good at advice,I can offer you a sarcastic comment?"

Landon smiled and nodded his agreement as Mari said that it was a shame that he could lose points for his handwriting. "It is, but it makes me try harder to write neater. It does take me longer to sit exams though," he admitted. Landon wanted to do better and didn't want to have to work extra hard just to get the same score as everyone else. He wasn't bad at homework, just bad at handwriting.
Landon was happy that they had gotten along when they were working together. He didn't mind working with other people but Mari was thankfully not one to try and make Landon do all the work. He felt bad enough that Mari had done all the writing, but Landon did feel like he made an effort to help by doing the reading and helping to point out what was good to add to their homework. Landon didn't feel like he had been a burden or that he didn't help at all.
Landon looked a little nervous that Mari would be upset with him for having read the page of her diary, but Mari seemed to not be upset with him about it. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to read your diary," he admitted. He didn't want to be known as someone who pried into other people's personal lives. "Oh a Chaser? That's fun! I'm debating trying to get on the Quidditch team myself," he admitted. "I should come to your game!" he added. He was really happy to think about going to yet another Quidditch game. He did really enjoy watching them now that he had finally gotten a group of friends to go with. He hadn't really watched many sports when he was a first year. "I mean, if you would be okay with that... I know Hufflepuff isn't playing..."

Mari listened carefully to Landon talking about losing points on the test, it was very unpleasant, and she understood his point of view that if he tried to do it slowly he wouldn't be able to finish. "yeah... maybe training a different writing style, another type of writing, maybe that way you could write faster and make it more visible" Mari advised, When she was little, her parents put her in specific classes to have delicate handwriting, so she did several exercises to get her handwriting like that, but changing the type of handwriting (like, handwriting to "computer handwriting"...) could be an option
As Mari picked up the parchment, she finally did a brief inspection "We will definitely get full marks"says Mari with a smile, the work was very good, wouldn't it have What to change then was what they deserved " Hm... shall I keep it?" Says Mari, about to put it in her bag.
After her schedule fell through London was trying to apologize for reading"No, there's no harm!" Says Mari, she would probably be upset in another situation, but surprisingly she wasn't, because he just wanted to help her by getting her diary
" Really? Cool, maybe we'll still play against each other if you decide to try out" Mari noted, it would be funny if that happened in the future. ""I love it... I really love Quidditch, I've always loved it, but unfortunately I only managed to join the 2nd year, as I only signed up that year (this year) I thought it would be better to be able to concentrate on my studies in the 1st year, luckily now I can juggle everything " she admitted.
"Of course I don't mind, next time if you're thinking about signing up, it would be a good idea" She said " But don't be surprised if I don't play, I'll be on the bench for that game I think, it doesn't help much that I only joined a short time ago" She admitted, it was sad, but it was true that she she really wanted to play, but she had recently joined, it would be her first game, but she just wanted the Slytherin to win
"If you want, we can meet at the end..." Mari said in a questioning tone, but regretted it soon after "I mean, I still don't even know if you really want to go, and... only if you want to!" She said she didn't want to go with him, especially because she didn't know if he would want to go, and the fact that Mari had never been friends with a Hufflepuff, had never been able to want to be friends with anyone, maybe this time it would be different

Landon shrugged a little as she suggested trying to practice a new writing style. "I suppose that could work, but it would take a lot of effort," he admitted. He wasn't sure if it was worth it, basically teaching himself how to write all over again, but he would give it some thought. Landon might decide to work on that during like summer break or something, because that would be a few months where he didn't have to do homework, but he wasn't sure he would actually do it. He was usually too engrossed in his books or with spending time with his family. He loved his family and loved to spend time with them, even his twin, Harper, who was manipulative by nature. She was relatively mild when it came to her family at least.
Landon smiled widely as Mari said that they would get full marks on their course work. "Great! I think so too," he said, his blue eyes pleased. He definitely wanted to do a good job and get good marks on his homework. Landon thought for a moment at Mari's next question before nodding. "You are clearly more organized than I am, it might be good if you keep it," he observed. "Not that I would lose it, but it might end up wrinkled if I kept it to turn it in," he admitted. He didn't want to damage their hard work.
Landon looked up at Mari and gave her a nervous smile when Mari told him there was no harm in the fact that he had seen her journal. "I'm sorry anyway," he said again. He didn't want her to think he was a snoopy sort of person. Was he a curious person, yes, but he tended to stay out of other people's business. He was relieved that Mari didn't seem to be upset with him. Landon smiled and nodded. "I'm hoping we do play against each other," he said. "I think I'm going to try and join the sport, though I can't guarantee I'll make it," he said with a frown. He didn't want to think about failing, but he really wanted to join the team. It was worth it to at least try, right?
He smiled and shrugged a little as Mari said she would be on the bench for most of the game. "That's okay," he said. "The more I watch the game, even if you aren't playing, the more I'll feel comfortable playing the game, maybe," he said. "I hope you get to play, even if it's only for a little while!" he said. Landon was always supportive of people he considered to be friends, and he really did get along well with Mari, so he could see them being friends now too.
Landon smiled and nodded. "We can meet after the game! That would be fun," he said. "I think I'll be at the game," he added. He was happy to go see the game. "I don't know what we would do, and if you do play, you might be tired and not want to talk much, but I would be happy to meet up after the game, whether you win or lose," Landon smiled and looked at her. He genuinely wanted to be her friend.

Mari nodded when Landon commented about changing the lyrics taking a long time. , and Landon being the same as Mari in the second, as it was a more difficult teaching, she probably wouldn't have time to practice her lyrics.
Mari nodded when Landon asked her to keep their work"Okay, I'll keep it", Mari said, already putting it away carefully, she
it was quite organized, but only at the basic level. at school, or how people saw her, but for example in her dorm things weren't so organized... even if she wanted to she couldn't keep those things organized, but she was incapable of losing/ruining something important/school.
"Yes, it would be very interesting" Mari responded to Landon's statement about them playing against each other, "Try it! You have nothing to lose if you don't try,o "No" is guaranteed, so..." Said Mari, repeating the phrase that her parents always told her as a child, a great truth that she always thought about when she was afraid of not being able to do it.
While the two arranged to meet, Mari was a little scared, but without showing it, she never liked creating new friendships with people who weren't from her household, which is ironic because almost of the only relationships Mari had with others people was her best friend. (from Gryffindor, a house she didn't particularly like), something her parents tried to reverse as they wanted her to have as little contact as possible with people from another house.
"I hope so too, but it's very unlikely, and the important thing is to win!" Mari responded with the greatest sincerity, giving a small and light smile when Landon confirmed that he would go to the game "It doesn't matter to me, we can meet at the Grande Lago nearby... or at the training compound of Quidditch, or on the contrary, in here, what do you think?" She added, if they lost, Mari would probably be in an even worse mood, but... they would win!

Landon was okay with Mari keeping the homework. He just didn't want to misplace it or get it wrinkled or something. He figured Mari would probably do better at protecting the work than he would. Landon watched as Mari put the homework away and he hummed a little as he gathered his things together to get ready to leave. He was happy that working with Mari had worked out so well. Not all Slytherins were scary like his sister could be at times.
He smiled as Mari suggested that he try to join the Quidditch team. He really did like the idea of playing, but he was scared to let his team down. He sighed a little and he looked at her. "I'm hoping that I don't disappoint the team... if I even make it on the team in the first place," he admitted. Landon was just anxious about letting people down in general, not just in this. He was going to have to push himself out of his comfort zone if he wanted to be active in anything at the school.
"How about we plan to meet up after the game... maybe by the Great Lake, but if you feel too tired or if you are upset about losing the game or something, you can tell me and we can arrange a different time to hang out?" he suggested. He didn't want her to have to push herself to be social if she wasn't feeling like it after the game. He was sure she would be tired, if she did play. He hoped that she got to play, but he wasn't sure.
He got ready to leave from where they had been working. "So, let me know if you want to meet up after the game. I'll be there to see it, and I'll support Slytherin... at least just this once," he said with a laugh. Obviously, he needed to support his fellow Hufflepuffs in other situations, but Hufflepuff wasn't playing against Slytherin this time.

“Don’t worry about disappointing the team, there are days when things go less well, but if you enter it is already a test that has a lot of talent, so you don’t need to be afraid of failing..” Said Mari, it's so strange that it's ME saying this... she thought, her last words hit her hard, no matter how much people said she couldn't admit she couldn't do it, she couldn't help but be afraid of failing, telling others that it seemed much easier than it really is....
Putting those thoughts aside to listen to Landon while she finished packing her things " That's great for me, if I don't feel like talking I'll let you know, if you go to the game, I'll even give you a signal to you halfway" He said Mari jokingly at the end, she probably would, but if they lost it would be a big personality change that Landon would see, not only because she naturally has a difficult personality, but furthermore, if they lost , she would be in a terrible mood.
Mari picked up her things while Landon finished speaking" If so, I owe you one!I probably wouldn't be able to support another team, unless it was against Gryffindor!" She admitted, she would only consider supporting another house if it was someone extremely close to hers.
Mari arranges her chair and says goodbye to Landon "Bye Landon, we make a good team!" Said Mari with a slight smile as she walked away, she really didn't remember a time when she had gotten along with her co-worker.
