Lost in the halls
It was Jades first week in Hogwarts, she was roaming the halls listening to music when she realised it was getting dark. She turned to go back to the Hufflepuff common room only to realised she was lost, she hadn't been looking where she was going and now it was dark she didn't have much of a chance of finding her way back. Starting to panic she started to jog but everything was dark so after three minuets Jade curled up against a wall. Jade was starting to nod off when she thought she heard something, "What was that!?" exclaimed Jade. Deciding it wasn't safe out in the corridor Jade decided to go into one of the rooms, after closing the door Jade turned around to be greeted by a spider web and spider filled storage room. "Ahhhhhh!" Jade screamed while grasping for the door handle. She got out side and breathed deeply trying to calm herself but it wasn't working. jade heard another disconcerting sound from down the hall and took off at a sprint, She ran and ran and ran down several staircases and around several bends until she was even more lost than before, at least before she knew which floor she was on and around the general classrooms but now she was completely lost. Jade decided that it was best to just curl up against a wall and wait for someone to find her in the morning. Or maybe the night, whichever came first, so long as someone did find her. "No I won't think about it, I'll just wait till morning" Jade said to herself.

Lost in the halls
It wasn't early anymore, but the students were still allowed to hang around Hogwarts. Although at ten o'clock they had to be in their dormitories and in bed, Luna still decided to visit the corridors again. Last time she was lost here, but this time she brought the book that had the map of Hogwarts with her. She knew that acting like a Gryffindor wasn't a good idea, but she still wanted to see why did people got lost easily in this place. When the little Slytherin was paying attention to the map, she heard a scream from somewhere around her. She rolled her eyes and thinking if she should follow it or not. Finally, the girl followed her decision.
Luna walked and followed the sound when that person ran. It seemed like this girl, or boy was quite terrified. Finally, she reached where Jade was. "Believe me, waiting until morning isn't a good idea, but running that fast... isn't a good idea either." A Hufflepuff, with the long blond hair. Luna was sure that this was the first time they meet each other since the little snake hadn't met many people and she knew only a few Hufflepuffs. Who could guess that the two persons she met from here, both of them didn't belong to the lion house?

After a minuet of waiting Jade heard footsteps, maybe someone had heard her scream? A smart looking Slytherin came around the corner, she had a book in her hand and seemed to be a decent person.
Jade smiled a rush of relief flowing through her, this girl seemed like she was going to help her. "Thanks for the advice, I'm Jade, and believe I'm not normally that skittish, I was just lost and then there were strange noises and spiders and it all went downhill from there" Jade explained hardly taking a breath, still being on an adrenalin rush. Jade hated it when she looked like a fool, but as she always said "if one can't except you for being the fool you are then they are more foolish than you" as Jade recited this in her head she wondered if she should get off the floor. then noticing her purple hair and eyes Jade wondered if she could be a Choi, her parents often talked about them and her Dad was fascinated with their hair. Jade hoped they could at the very least be aquatints, from what she could see they seemed quite similar."Believe me, waiting until morning isn't a good idea, but running that fast... isn't a good idea either."

"Jade, that is sure a beautiful name, and it fits you." Being scared by spiders... Luna guessed that the little Hufflepuff didn't really love spiders. As for her, she didn't hate but didn't like them either. But imagine a spider touched her, the snake trembled, it wasn't a good idea, imagine that. "My name is Luna, Luna Choi. It's nice to meet you, although this doesn't look like a good place to meet a new person." Actually, she did not know where could be a good place to meet a stranger. The only problem was in what kind of situation they met each other. It seemed like Jade was lost, just like her last time coming here. "Do you want to stay here for a while? I think you should rest before keep going because we are a bit far from the Hufflepuff common room. Oh but don't worry, I promise we will get back there before ten o'clock. Forgot to say, I belong to the Slytherin House." Maybe Jade noticed that Luna was wearing the Slytherin uniform after all. Although there was a lot of witches and wizards didn't mind about talking with a Slytherin, Luna could not help but felt nervous about Jade's expression when she heard her introduction.

"It's nice to meet you too, I've always loved the name Luna, its so.... well, Luna its just Luna. " Said Jade with a bit of a smile at the end. "Yes, these are rather odd circumstances, you coming to my rescue and me freaking out earlier....." Jade trailed off
Jade's expression fell a little with the last statement, but then why should the fact she's in Slytherin make Jade hate her? "Yes please, I'll just rest another minuet then we'll set off. Thank you for helping me, its really nice of you, myself am a Hufflepuff. Oh, and don't worry I have nothing against Slytherins." Jade added noticing that Luna seemed a but nervous after she had said she was in Slytherin. After a minuet of silence Jade stood up, "I think I'm ready to go now, I was able to rest a but before you arrived, if you are that is?" Jade said hoping to get back to the warm embrace of a bed as soon as possible."Do you want to stay here for a while? I think you should rest before keep going because we are a bit far from the Hufflepuff common room. Oh but don't worry, I promise we will get back there before ten o'clock. Forgot to say, I belong to the Slytherin House." Said Luna

"Yes, Luna is just Luna" She didn't even know how to describe her name, so the little girl just simply considered "Luna" as an adjective. "Rescue you? It's just I want to go to see how the Hufflepuff common room's door looks like, and accidentally meet you here." That was clearly a lie since there were many other ways to go from the Slytherin common room to there. Even though she was going to help Jade went back to the Hufflepuff common room, she didn't want to say it, it was quite weird to accept that Luna was helping people.
Just like the little Hufflepuff knew what she was worried about, Jade said that she didn't have anything against Slytherins. Luna decided not to say anything, stood there and waited until Jade felt like she wanted to start going.

Jade felt bad for not properly explaining Lunas name, she was just really tired and the words just wouldn't come to her, normally Jade was great at explaining things, it must have been from all that running and the fact that she was practically being saved by this girl, even if she tried to deny it. Jade had always thought peoples thoughts on Slytherin a bit harsh, so a lot of wizards from that house turned to the dark side. Jade was sure she had heard of witches and wizards turning to the dark side from other houses. Not to mention only a few of the Slytherins were bad, quite a lot of them were perfectly ordinary, take Draco Malfoy for instance, while he might have been a jerk in the beginning he turned out to be quite the gentleman in the end.
"I think the sorting ceremony is a really smart way of sorting, it avoids the involvement of professors so they don't have to make the hard decisions. Not to mention the hat is quite lovely, while he's a bit scary, aren't all old people, because if you think about it he's decades, possibly centuries old. And all he gets to do is look into a bunch of kids minds once a year, it must be dreadfully boring for him." Jade sad, she could have gone on and on but she thought that she had already said a bit too much.

After listening to what Jade said, Luna felt into silent. Mister Sorting Hat talked with her with a happy voice, so she didn't really think about how it felt much. It sure helped the professors a lot in that. Maybe it could feel it boring, that wasn't impossible. "But actually, I think he is happy with doing his job. I mean... Well, what you just said is true, but maybe he enjoys his job?" It was able to talk with a lot of different kind of children, singing bravely in front of the others and enjoying the whole day.
Luna pointed at the map and started to explain,"So basically, we are at the corridors right now, which is the second floor. If I am not wrong, the Hufflepuff common room is on the first floor." Jade listened to what Luna said about the sorting hat and guessed that she could be right, after all sorting was the hats propose and it did seem to enjoy getting it right. As Luna showed Jade the map and how they were going to get to the Hufflepuff common room Jade realised that she hadn't been that far from the Hufflepuff common room, if she had just taken the stairs down a floor she could have recognised the DADA classroom. "Have you ever thought that you wouldn't be joining the Hufflepuff?" Luna asked, Jade was a bit surprised by the question but she decided that Luna was just trying to easy the tension. "Yes, I thought I was going to be in Ravenclaw, my Dad being a Ravenclaw, though I wasn't That surprised when I got in Hufflepuff. How about you?" Jade responded, Jade thought Luna looked quite nice, though she seemed to be trying to be... well.... a Slytherin. Though Jade did find peoples thought on Slytherin a bit unfair, there was some truth in it. Jade wondered if she would see Luna around school after this, or if she would disappear as many other people Jade had met in the past had.

"As for me, I thought I would join Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Basically, I found the two houses fitted with me the most. Of course, it didn't mean that I do not like the two others, it is just... well, doesn't fit me. " Since her parents did not care much about which house she could be, so Luna did not waste her time in thinking about that either. But the girl knew that she would fit Ravenclaw or Slytherin, and people around her said that she would be in one of these two. "Forgot to say, I'm first year student." By looking at Jade's face, maybe the girl could be first year student just like her too. Not to mention she was lost in the Corridors... but Luna heard that there were a lot of other students who weren't new like them but still lost in this place, so she was not really sure about Jade's age.
The young Slytherin looked up the stairs. It wasn't too long, but it would be a bit tired to climb. She turned her head to Jade, as asking if she was ready to climb. She did not really mind about climbing, since hanging around Hogwarts was one of the stuff that she liked to do the most after arriving here.
