Elisa picked up the bun absent-mindedly, her eyes still focused on Dean and drinking in every word. She had never been into competitive sports, truthfully. But somehow, Quidditch was different. Even the name seemed to resonate deep within her. The thought of whizzing through the air with her Hufflepuff teammates, working together with friends to score points and win a game... It just made her feel warm inside! Maybe she did like sports. She had simply been waiting all this time to be introduced to precisely the right one.

"I just can't help feeling like it would be so satisfying whacking those bludgers!" she said with an excited giggle. "Although.. I don't actually want to hurt anyone." She frowned a little, a pensive expression on her face. "Do beaters have to target the other team's players? Or can they just protect their teammates from the bludgers and hit them away?" she asked Dean, hoping it was the latter. Just the thought of causing anyone injury made Elisa physically ill.

Elisa felt a hint of anxiety knotting her stomach at the thought of making friends. But surely he was right. She could totally do it! Gazing at the other Hufflepuff students sitting around her, all Elisa saw was warmth and friendliness on each of their cheerful faces. It warmed her heart, the anxiety melting away like snow on a bright, sunny day. She nodded at Dean enthusiastically. "Okay! I will try!" she said, her eyes sparkling with resolve. "And... I want to be a friend for those who don't have any!" The thought didn't occur to her until only now, just as the words escaped her lips. But that didn't make them any less sincere. "You know, for those that are shy or scared of befriending people... I hope I can be there for students like that and help them see that they are safe and at home here." She nodded enthusiastically, her newfound purpose filling her with courage.

The young Hufflepuff wasn't eating all that much, only nibbling on whatever was nearby that caught her eye - even if everything was beyond delicious! There was a bit of mashed potatoes and some beef stew on her plate, mostly untouched. But she would have a whole year of eating the sumptuous Hogwarts food. She was too overjoyed to be conversing with Dean to worry too much about a proper meal.

Speaking of food, Elisa clapped her hands suddenly, nearly jumping off her seat in excitement. "A picnic! I love it!" she exclaimed. "That sounds wonderful. I'd love to see the kitchens too...and meet the house elves! And yeah, we could look over our classes together and, do you think we could practice broom flying or that's only allowed during Flying class? Either way, I'm sure we'll find plenty of fun things to do!"

Serene will be our days, and bright and happy will our nature be, when love is an unerring light, and joy its own security.

"Right? I think that'd be so awesome. But I think I'd rather be a chaser or something like that," Dean mumbled, shoving a spoonful of pumpkin pie into his mouth. His eyes danced down to Elisa's plate and he realised just how little she'd eaten so far. A small dose of worry danced across his features but he quickly forgot about it as she spoke. A smile now on his face, he nodded. "You're so sweet! Honestly, I don't think anyone would not want to be friends with you," he assured, his head still bouncing.

The noise in the hall was beginning to quiet down as students left to visit their dorms, table by table, and he could already see a little movement at their table. Nudging Elisa, he grinned even wider, if that was even possible. "We should organise that for tomorrow, or like this week! We're in the same house so it should be easy," he mused, finishing up his plate. He reached for a few buns, shoving them in his pocket. Looking at Elisa, he brought a finger to his lips. "Shh. Those are for you! I saw that you didn't eat much so you can keep them for later. I'll pass them to you in the common room, while everyone is busy," he said.

Suddenly, someone clapped their hands at the very end of their table and stood up, announcing the visit to their common room. Giddy, Dean stood up, holding a hand out for Elisa. "We're gonna see our dorms! You ready? It's gonna be so much fun, I bet."
