Need Help?

He flipped the pages of his textbook, just to see how many minutes of torture he had left before he was done reading the chapter, and counted three. With a groan, he leaned back into his chair, letting his messy mop of dark hair hang over the back of his chair as he slumped back, defeated.
Transfiguration was so complex, and it was so, so boring for his brain, which much preferred to hold information about the next quidditch formation Slytherin would be playing, or what was on the next week's menu at the Great Hall. Or, maybe what his friends and classmates would be up to this weekend.
At the thought of what other fellow sufferers would be up to, he straightened, and put his elbows onto the desk in front of him. He took the opportunity to look around the library, where others were studying at the tables nearby. How were they faring? Were they suffering, just like he was? Were they itching to finally be done with their studying and go outside for a broom ride? Or, were they deep in thought, productively scratching their quills away while tackling an essay with vigor?
He felt like he had to talk to someone, or he would burst.
So, he turned his dark brown eyes to study a girl to his left, who seemed to have some astronomy books on her desk. He blinked at her, wondering if she would catch his gaze -- and if she did, he wondered whether she would detect the pain in his eyes from being locked up in the library. Would she understand it? Or, would she just think him weird, lazy, and simply a pure disturbance? Because, most people were in the library to study, not to gaze around wondering what others were up to, like he was.

I had just finished classes for the day and now got ready to head out to the library. I make sure I have everything along with a book incase I get bored of studying. I struggle to get through the hallways it talking me at least ten minutes to wiggle through everyone. I have to wiggle through and say excuse me around a Millon times till I finally make it to the library. I sigh as I finally make it to my happy place. Then I removed I have astronomy homework and get excited. “I love astronomy!” I think to my self. I grab all my books and finally find a spot for me to start studying and doing homework. I plop my stuff down and start on my homework then immediately realize that this is more difficult than I had Inticapted. Everyone alwasy teases me for saying astronomy is my favourite class. They are always like “that class is so hard!” I never thought it was unti now. But I refuse to accept help this is my best subject I can do this. I then notice the person across from me . I notice the pain in his eyes and disappointment clearly note hating to be doing homework as well. I smile slightly trying to be positive. I the wave my hand over telling him to come over to se what he’s studying.

To his relief, the girl smiled back. He chuckled lightly, relieved that someone shared in his feeling of being trapped. His lop-sided grin widened further as she waved him over. Perhaps two people trapped while doing homework could suffer less together.
He grabbed his textbook, quill, and inkwell and plopped them down in the empty seat next to hers. "Hi, I'm Avery Chen! Third-year Slytherin," he said, introducing himself briefly, giving her a friendly nod. Although he was sorted into Slytherin, he was often considered friendly and sociable, winning 'Slytherin boy of the year' and 'most sociable' in the Slytherin yearbook during his first year.
"What subject are you working on?" he asked, curiously glancing at the book in front of her. "Anything more interesting than the Transfiguration chapter I'm working through? This week it's about turning teapots into rats -- not sure when I'd really ever need that," he admitted with a laugh. "Maybe if I ever came across a foe who had a phobia for rats? While I was at a tea party?" Sometimes, these transfiguration spells really were one of a kind and quite obscure! Really, who even even thought to come up with all of them? "Quite amusing even if it's impractical, but I just don't feel like writing a paper on that at the moment... How are you doing?" He turned to her, leaning his head in his hand, elbow on the table, much preferring to chat.
