Hate at First Sight
Minnie was crying. An owl had just been sent to her that she would not be able to come home for break. Her Da couldn't bear to see her in her Hufflepuffness. I guess I just can't get enough sadness around here. Breakfast embarrassment, afternoon sadness, now what? Mid afternoon hatred? She sat in her bed and cried. Minnie heard a noise and ran off, not wanting anyone to see her crying. I can't let anyone see my weakness. Where can I go? Then she remembered the perfect spot. The great lake. She ran down the stairs where she bumped into someone. "Hey! Watch where you're going!"
"Sorry!" She said, not turning around. She nearly tripped on the stairs before she arrived at her destination.
She was at the great lake. It was beautiful and serene and made Minnie stop crying. "Thank you lake. You saved me again." She whispered to the lake. She was about to turn around when she heard a sound of something flying through the air. "What the-" A water balloon splattered on her. But only on one part of her. Her pants, where her underwear was. Now it looked like she had wet herself. She looked around for the perpetrator and saw a boy. She walked over to him, full of rage.
"Sorry!" She said, not turning around. She nearly tripped on the stairs before she arrived at her destination.

"I'm nearly out of stock on those water balloons... and I still cannot figure out this spell completely!", Blair groaned.
He had been practicing for so long, even so, this new spell "Wingardium Leviosa" was still a challenge to him. It had really only been 10 minutes, but to the young Ravenclaw it had been an eternity. I can't be that bad at spells, can I?, he thought. The boy picked up one of the remaining water balloon, and tried again, hoping for the best. Just as he cast once again the spell, he looked in awe at the balloon that appeared to be floating with a somewhat good stability, but just as he started getting excited about improving, it flew in the air and just as it had exploded as all the previous guinea pigs have, Blair heard a nearly by mutter. A few moments after, as he was contemplating his failures with the remnants of the ballons on the grass, the Ravenclaw noticed that someone was rapidly approaching him, it seemed to be a Hufflepuff girl :
"Well, let's see, there seems to be a girl coming straight at me looking like she's about to kill me. "Did I do something to annoy her? Hmm... was it maybe the time I bumped into- Woah!"
Without noticing, the Hufflepuff was already standing in front of him.
"Hello there~... What a...uh... beautiful weather we have here, right?"
Noticing her face was not answering positively, with her eyes which were practically shooting daggers at him, Blair thought it would be a good idea to excuse himself for the only time he remembered having possibly annoyed someone, but what were good ideas for him were usually stupid things thought on the spot ; Fairly enough, the boy was panicking since he had never angered a girl that much :
"Sorry if i pushed you earlier while running in the corridors... Was it that bad?"

Minnie laughed at the boys response. "You seriously don't know? Look at me. I look like I peed because of your stupid water balloons!" Minnie practically yelled at the boy. I guess what I thought was right. Mid afternoon hatred it is.
She walked closer to the boy, putting her face up to his. "YOU ARE THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD! YOU ARE RUINING A MOMENT THAT WAS GOOD! I HATE YOU!" Then she thought to add. "What's your name? I only want to know because I want to know the best way to warn everyone about you." She practically spat the words she was saying. "You're lucky I don't know any spells, because I would use them on you. I hate you so much right now. I don't care if you apologize, you make me sick. Someone who throws pranks on innocent people for fun? I can't like someone like that." She felt as if smoke was rising from her ears. She had been angry before, but that was nothing like this. This was smoking hot despise. I hate him. He stands like he's so innocent. Mum would approve of fighting him. He's so pompous. She was nearly breathing real fire with her anger. He would not get away with this.

Hate at First Sight
Blair was expecting only having to apologise for a small mishap (even though he definitely thought he shouldn't have to for something as simple), but here there was, a blond angry girl yelling at him while he stood there confused the entire time. After spacing out a few seconds trying to figure out what she was saying, the informations the boy had collected were that he had apparently thrown a water balloon to her, and now the Hufflepuff had turned into some sort of raging monster. He tried to answer everything she was saying, but he could only stick in a few words in, and after he had enough of being yelled at whilst being innocent, he finally managed to say something :
- "Alrighty, first of all please shut up for a bit, respectfully, and take this opportunity to breathe after talking nonsense and using all your stock of spit on me. Secondly, there seems to be a sort of a... misunderstanding? Heh, uh... I didn't throw a water balloon, I just happen to suck, like really suck at spells and so the balloon flew in some sort of strange direction over..to...you? I...think?"
Blair was still smiling despite being really confused, however he switched to a more concerned face soon, and continued what he was saying after sighing and clearing his throat :
"Also don"t you think it would've been smarter to ask my name before saying all these things about how I'm such a horrible person? It's not like I want to give my name now since you'll apparently use it to spread fake stuff about me. And once again, it was an accident, can't we just pretend like nothing much happened, we both came here with clear, happy enough minds, didn't we?"

The nerve on him! Claiming that he did nothing! Minnie thought angrily. "How can you keep pretending to be innocent?" Her voice had lost the anger. Now she was just flabbergasted. "I honestly cannot believe you. You are the literal worst person I've ever met." She shook her head.
This guy! "Happy minds". As if. If he knew...but Mum and Da really are great, they just got a bit...sad. I would be much more disappointed than them. They're handling it great. But that doesn't mean that I'm happy. How could he think I'm happy? Now she was mad again.
"About that "clear and happy mind" thing. I was not and am not happy. You smile like you don't care about anyone or anything but yourself. I make it clear-you and I are not friends." Minnie breathed in deeply, like a volcano about to erupt. Don't Minnie. You can stay calm and not get detention. Just breathe. I got this. I'm not a volcan-this will never work. She let out a frustrated sigh. Butterbeer. He really is the worst. She looked him in the eye. "I would like you to stop lying and tell me why you threw that balloon. Because if you don't I'll have to assume that you're just awful."

Blair looked away with a sigh as the girl was still yelling what was nonsense to him. He eventually ignored half of it, wasn't his fault that this situation was such a pain, being yelled at continuously was never fun for him. The boy kept thinking about if he actually had done a stupid mistake or if he really had bad luck today.
"Pleeaaase calm down, shouldn't it take a bit more than that for someone to hate another, and not with just some simple accident? Since otherwise you're just judging people through first impressions, which isn't really good... i think... Wasn't that called judging a book by it's color... or was it cover?... I forgot And as if I was acting innocent, I am innocent...somewhat.", he responded with once again, a not-so-slight slight confused tone and expression.
The young ravenclaw couldn't believe this is still continuing on and on again, usually a simple "sorry" or "pardon me" was enough to let it go, unless the other party was a bully,... wait was she a bully? When this came through his mins, Blair's green eyes went wide open, but went back to normal right after he muttered accidentally : "She can't be one of those.. right?"
After shaking several times his head around, the boy answered bluntly : "Y'know... you're starting to give me a headache with all your yapping around, I'm going to go get some medicine now..."

Minnie nearly exploded with rage. Why? Why does he look so....smug? Her frown deepened. Don't explode on him. He'll think you're a bully and you'll get in trouble. She reminded herself. Just keep your calm. I know you have trouble with anger, but keep your calm. It's not his fault he's an annoying brat. Well, maybe it is...but I don't want to blow up in his face, it'll look strange. She firmly thought. Then she took a deep breath and looked him in the eye.
"Look kid, I'm not exactly partying now either. I've had a bad day, and you just made it worse. And do you think that telling me I'm yapping will make me less mad? I think that you'd have to be slightly insane to not realize that you've hit a nerve. So I would love it if you were a bit more sincere with your apology. And if you won't give me your name, I'll at least tell you mine. See, I'm not someone who just yaps." She took another deep breath. He is so annoying! She thought, becoming more and more frustrated. But she forced herself to stop frowning, and get a placid face. "My name is Minnie Duke, now can you please tell me yours?"
