Cassian suddenly realized he hadn't understood anything he had read for the past two and a half minutes. He groaned internally as he flicked the pages of his textbook back to where he last remembered. It wasn't his fault that History of Magic was so boring. And it also wasn't his fault that all he kept thinking about were different dueling combinations and the quickest ways to eliminate a dark wizard.

He began to reread the pages, but found himself deep in thought only a few paragraphs in. Frustrated, he decided he should probably do some homework that was a bit more hands-on. He unrolled a scroll of parchment and began drawing the plant diagrams, based from one of his Herbology books. He wasn't a great artist, but at least it gave him something to focus on.

The study room today was pretty quiet. Cassian didn't recognize any of the students, but most of them were Hufflepuffs. He thought about how most Ravenclaws like to study alone or in the library and he wondered if Gryffindors even studied. He would've liked to be a Gryffindor, he thought. But then he remembered his best friends and his bunk mates and realized that Ravenclaw really was where he was meant to be.

He had his head low over the parchment, focusing on his plant drawings when the curly-haired blonde girl entered, so that he didn't even realize she was there.

This Thursday afternoon was exhausting. Delilah had just gotten out of class and needed to do her homework ASAP, it was the thing that irritated her the most. To Delilah, homework was the magical equivalent of trying to catch a Snitch blindfolded—it made no sense and seemed designed to test one's sanity. She'd rather be sipping Butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks, swapping funny stories with friends or just taking a nap in her dorm, than deciphering the mysteries of ancient wizards who probably had too much time on their hands.

Delilah entered the study room, a pile of books threatening to fall under one arm. She noticed a bunch of Huffelpuffs and some Ravenclaws, no Gryffindors at sight it seemed. Well, it was quite a stereotype that Gryffindors preffered adventures over studies, thechnically, it was kind of true. But you would really be surprised by the number of nerds in the Gryffons common room.

Delilah glided into the study room, her robes billowing behind her with a confidence only she could master, her lanky legs propelling her forward as if guided by an invisible current of anger. Her tie, a vibrant red and gold, hung loosely around her neck, its knot defying the precision expected of a Hogwarts student. In the midst of her tousled, sun-kissed curls, a quill found its perch behind her ear.
Maybe she forgot it there, maybe it was intentional, no one would ever guess.

Delilah settled into a vacant chair at a study table, putting the books down loudly, her eyes drawn to the Ravenclaw boy in front of her, a familiar face from class whose name eluded her, was it "Clay" or "Cooper" ? He was immersed in his studies, diligently crafting a diagram with focused intensity. Delilah stole glances, noting the precision in his movements and the silent dedication etched across his features. The lines weren't perfect but Del was sure she wouldn't be able to draw half of the diagram.

Delilah wasn't dumb or stupid. Quite the opposite, she was clever and smart when she wanted to. Her problem is that she was lazy and uninterested in most subjets. Only astronomy managed to capture her attention, fueled by a whimsical and rather chilsish belief that the cosmos might reveal extraterrestrial wonders.

Leaning in, she flashed a playful smile and asked, "Oh, Herbology—the bane of my existence. Anything fascinating happening with those plants?"

Oh God, she hated herbology.
