Madison giggled as a deep blush fell to her cheeks. Simon talks about me a lot, oh boy she thinks to herself. Cassian seemed like a nice boy, someone she could definitely see Simon getting along with quite easily.

"Oh yeah he did, and yes, you could say that we made good use of it" Madison said, giggling more as Cassian teased her. She could see herself and Cassian becoming good friends, someone who was easy to hang out with and was always up for a good laugh.
As she continued her Herbology homework, Cassian kept talking about Simon and asking Madison questions. Madison looked up from her homework, smiled and giggled. "That's true. Well, my family lives in the West side of Kensington, a slightly more affluent area. My mother is the head of the Accidental Reversal Squad, my dad is an ex professional Quidditch player who used to play for England's national team, and my older brother is actually in Ravenclaw in his fourth year, his name is James" Madison said, taking a breath from saying so much.

What do I see in Simon? Madison thought and giggled, writing a few sentences down for her homework before putting it to the side, in order for her to engage better with Cassian. "That is actually a very good question. I guess, I just can always be myself around him. I never have to worry about feeling judged, hurt or ridiculed because, well, it's Simon. He makes me laugh and, we've been friends since he helped me into one of the boats our first year" Madison said, trying to make sure her mind didn't drift too much.

Madison did some more of her homework, however soon she needed a break, she was certainly not a ravenclaw in this respect, and the library was still empty, so Madison smiled and decided that it was time she got to know one of her boyfriends good friends.

"Anyways, tell me more about you Cassian, Simon doesn't really talk about you or many of his other friends. Where are you from? What's your family like? What were your first thoughts when Simon told you he had a girlfriend? And why on earth are you friends with a boy who grovels his breakfast down like it's a smoothie?" Madison asked with a giggle

Madison launched into a series of replies to Cassian's questions and he realized he didn't mean to ask so many all at once. It was just strange, sitting across from her, listening to her voice and seeing how her eyes lit up when she talked about Simon. It was strange because Cassian had heard so much about Madison and now he was finally meeting her. Sort-of like meeting a celebrity? It felt weird, but she was exactly just as Simon had described her, right down to the blushing and giggles. Girls, Cassian thought.

"Well, my family lives in the West side of Kensington, a slightly more affluent area," Madison explained. Affluent. Cassian knew only seriously wealthy people would use the word, "affluent." It was similar in America. Cassian's cousins at Ilvermorny would say, "well-to-do" instead of rich. Cassian knew his mother came from a rich family, but gave up all the wealth and prestige to live in the UK with Cassian's muggle father.
That was interesting because Simon had never mentioned that Madison came from a wealthy family, perhaps it wasn't all that important.

When Madison began to explain why she liked Simon, Cassian couldn't help but grin. Not only was it very clear how much she liked him, but also because Cassian had felt the same way about Simon. Not in the same romantic way or anything and Cassian didn't know Simon as well as she did, but Cassian understood what she meant about Simon not being judgmental. It was nice.

"Anyways, tell me more about you Cassian, Simon doesn't really talk about you or many of his other friends. Where are you from? What's your family like? What were your first thoughts when Simon told you he had a girlfriend? And why on earth are you friends with a boy who grovels his breakfast down like it's a smoothie?". Clearly Madison wasn't in a mood for studying and Cassian definitely agreed. But then, he reminded himself, that he was never in the mood for studying. And right now seemed like a great moment to make a new friend.

"Okay, let's see." Cassian tapped his quill against his chill, absently dotting it with fresh black ink. "My family is pretty great, I'd say. My mom's an American witch from Arionza and my dad is a muggle from England. They met in Arizona when he was on an archeology dig. Oh! I also have an older sister, Eloise, she's a Hufflepuff. Two years older than us." Suddenly Cassian realized something and started to laugh. Madison, a Hufflepuff, had a 4th year brother in Ravenclaw. And Cassian, a Ravenclaw, had a 4th year sister in Hufflepuff. That was funny. "Ya know, maybe we could introduce our siblings. I know Eloise is looking for a boyfriend, although she'd never admit it." Cassian chuckled again.

Cassian couldn't help but laugh and agree with Madison when she joking mentioned how quickly and quite messily Simon ate his breakfast. He found himself laughing a lot with Madison and it was nice.

Madison smiled, it was nice meeting Cassian after hearing Simon talk so much about him. When he mentioned that his sister was in her 4th year and was a Hufflepuff like Madison, she thought back to when she was sitting at the table in the Great Hall. "No way, that sounds awesome, I love history, though I'm more partial to Flying and Herbology in terms of subjects" Madison said with a smile.

As Cassian suggested introducing their siblings, Madison giggled softly and thought for a bit. "I mean maybe, though James spends most of his time in the library or in his dorm room. He'll come out to watch me play Quidditch occasionally but he's very studious. Social when he wants or needs to be and has a few close friends, but he's very study heavy so to speak" Madison said with a smile. She laughed with Cassian when they talked about how messily Simon eats his breakfast, then she started thinking about him. She hadn't seen Simon in a while and missed him. They used to spend a lot of time together, pretty much any time they weren't in class, Madison and Simon Tilia would be somewhere either within the school or the school grounds.

Madison however soon shook herself out of those thoughts and got back to doing some studying. She soon finished her Herbology homework and got started on her Charms homework, though she soon needed a break. As she was looking around, she noticed her brother James sitting at a desk on the other side of the library. "Cassian look, is that your sister on that table? If so, that guy is my brother at the same table she is at" Madison said in a whisper.
