Madi stepped into the bathroom and was going to head over to a stall when she spotted her best friend, Delainie, scrunching her eyes shut tightly. She was very confused on what her friend was doing but decided not to interrupt. Suddenly, Delainie's hair started changing from the blonde color to a brown shade. Right, she's a metamorphmagus. Madi remembered. Delainie could change her appearance at will.

Madi looked at the new color and saw that it looked really good on Delainie. As a natural brunette, she loved her hair color and was bored of it at the same time. It was just brown, but it could also catch light in unique ways making her hair look different shades. She could really see that on Delainie. She looked really pretty with brown hair.

The thing about hair color is that it looks so different on every single person. Hair color changes how you look. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. Madi could see that Dellie, of course, looked much different with brown hair, but it also looked like it was made for her. The color was perfect for her.

"Dellie, that looks great!" Madi exclaimed, coming up to stand next to Delainie at the mirror. As usual, she towered over the first year girl. She was about eight inches taller than Delainie. "You look amazing as a brunette."

No matter how bad things are,

Madi had walked in. At first, I was kind of nervous, with my new hair, I wasn’t sure what she’d think of it. Luckily, she told me that it looked good. “Oh, thank you!” I said “You know, I was just trying to test it out, but I actually really like it, I’m thinking of even dying to be like this permanently! And I can just change it back if course, like I’m doing now”. It would be really cool honestly to have brown hair, especially since ive never changed it before. Ive played around with my metamorphmagus skills before, but this was definitely the best look so far, it was really tempting to change it permanently. Ooh, I'll dye it over winter break, that would be fun! This was one hundred percent my colour, I couldn't stop looking at it in the mirror, I had to change it for real. "Thanks again for you know, saying it looks good and all. I was not quite sure if it was good, pretty sure, but not quite certain. But since I have someone else saying it looks good, I believe it." I smiled. 'I was thinking of maybe changing it over the break, do you think that would be a good time to do it?" I assumed she would know better than me, since it was her second year, and she had already had winter at Hogwarts. "Speaking of Christmas here, was it fun last year? I think I'm gonna stay, other than while dying my hair of course" I asked her, trying not to get too off topic. I twirled my now brunette hair around my finger with a smile on my face, and looked back up at Madi.
