Cups clinked, cutlery scraped across plates, and students laughed.

The great hall was awash in golden light, floating candles bobbing quietly around the kids. Some teachers were sat in their respective spots, tired lines streaking their faces. He supposed it was only fair. They were trapped in a building full of children for 9 months a year, worked crazy hours, and had to put out fires several times a week. Draven almost felt bad for them. Almost.

Many of the spots at the head table were noticeably empty. Some faces were new. In fact- Draven blinked. All the faces were new. He couldn't recognize a single professor from the year before. Something ugly twisted in his chest, painful and sudden.

Draven didn't need to pass by their table to sit down, but he took the long way around anyway, whispered apologies being handed out as he squeezed between students. He couldn't remember their names. Couldn't remember their faces.

The boy squeezed his bag closer. It was a ragged old thing with an enlargement charm placed on the inside, clinked quietly. The culprits- a potion bottle and an ink well smacking into each other- perhaps should have been more cleverly arranged inside. Draven only prayed they wouldn't explode and force him to cast a reparo. He doubted Draught of Peace mixed with ink was safe to drink.

The butterflies in his chest settled as he found an empty spot to slide in, long limbs tucked in tight, and bag placed on his lap rather than underneath his chair. He had to reach around it awkwardly to grab food, but it was fine. He didn't grab much anyway. Reached for a bread basket, which was already half empty, and pulled out a bun, tearing at it intently before popping the pieces in his mouth one by one.

He chewed slowly, tongue feeling at the bits of food thrice over before he swallowed. He allowed himself to move on to the next piece only after the bread had turned to mush. It was good bread. Salty and soft and warm, perfect to roll around into a little ball of dough and crush against the roof of his mouth. Merlin, those house elves knew how to bake.

With a small sigh, Draven leaned up against the wall his bench was pressed up against, spine hitting the old bricks painfully.

[ooc] hi! I hope this is alright, I'm still getting used to the forum and my girl Alis needs to socialize so here she is lol. I'm happy to edit (or delete ) for whatever reason- just getting in the swing of things here & saw this was open. Cheers!

Alis cradled her chin in one hand, leaning over the Gryffindor table to support her head while she idly turned a page of her book and sipped the spiced juice in her goblet without breaking focus. She had lingered in the Great Hall after her last class, the prospect of heading to her dormitory or the library had held little appeal when the allure of her book was too strong to resist and the Hall, with its perfectly cozy atmosphere, had been a closer haven. The icy weather made reading outdoors far less inviting, and she was very aware that she would probably doze off the moment she was too comfortable in her own space. Adapting to the rules and routine of Hogwarts over the last few months had been more demanding than she initially expected, leaving her with minimal free time outside of her studies and daydreams.

A subtle neck cramp disrupted her reading, prompting Alis to roll her shoulder and correct her posture. She yawned quietly, lazily picking at a honey-flavored cauldron cake while the ambient sounds of soft chatter and the golden glow of the Hall seeped back into her awareness. As she absentmindedly observed the sea of students around her, a Slytherin boy she'd never seen before caught her attention as he navigated through the crowd of students at the table furthest from her. She wasn’t sure why he intrigued her, but she quietly studied his gait as he took the long way around the table and thought perhaps it was because he had a natural… grace about him. Despite the slightly awkward way he reached around the bag secured in his lap once seated, Alis felt he had a casual elegance that complimented his features and piqued her curiosity.

Unconsciously lifting her book as if it shielded her from view, she peered at him over the top, stormy eyes examining his bag. She wondered what precious contents it held, given the care he showed for it. The bag’s worn appearance seemed to hint at countless adventures with its owner, stories waiting to be told. As the Slytherin reached for the breadbasket and ate with almost rhythmic precision, Alis couldn't help but observe him in quiet contemplation. His shoulders rose and fell gently, as if sighing with approval at the taste, while he leaned against the wall behind him.

A laugh erupted from a fellow Gryffindor a few seats down from Alis, snapping her from her inquisitive stare and nearly causing her to jump from her seat as she knocked over her half-full goblet into her plate and lap. She almost squeaked with shock as the cup clattered and she quickly ripped her book away from the small puddle, snatching up a cloth napkin to salvage her robes. The table, and plate, would likely clean itself knowing the diligence of the house elves, and because chaos during meals was surely anticipated by a school of this size and caliber… or so she hoped, aiming to make a swift escape. She felt heat creeping across her cheeks, trying to clean the sticky mess as discreetly as possible. Internal scolding ensued. Bloody lovely, Alis! Make a huge mess before you’ve even learned how to fix it without making a scene. Shoving the embarrassment deep down, and dreading the possibility of her hair suddenly bursting into an unwelcome shade of pink brighter than her current future, she mentally chastised herself, What are you, his shadow? Get it together!

Grateful for the ocean of lively students between the Slytherin boy and herself, and almost too aware of his presence, Alis resisted the urge to steal another glance his way as she hastily shoved her belongings into her bag, not caring for the usual order of things. She prepared to make a hasty retreat, hoping to forget the entire incident and how horribly awkward she is the moment she was in the solace of her dorm. Where in Merlin’s name is an invisibility potion when you need one.

Elisa slowly walked past the tables to find herself a seat at the Slytherin table, It was a lively day which was less noticed by Elisa who was still feeling sleepy after she had spent the entire previous night reading a book about Dark Creatures and how to avoid them, the blonde girl mentally cursed at herself for being late when she saw the chairs available, there were a lot of chairs available but the thing was that they were surrounded by students who kept on talking without a stop, sitting there would have been enough torture for the young introvert, she kept on looking around until she finally found a seat next to a boy who seemed older than her, the boy seemed like a silent person which was fine for Elisa, as she didn't really have a lot of friends in Hogwarts and usually spent most of her meals alone, without any interactions.

She slowly walked towards the seat next to the boy and sat down while placing her bag below the chair, she then slowly took a piece of toast and started looking around the great hall while chewing her toast, as she observed the great hall, she noticed one certain Gryffindor girl who had caramel brown eyes and misty blue eyes, staring at someone's soul, Elisa could easily tell that girl was staring at someone in the Slytherin table, but before anything could happen the girl suddenly broke her stare and accidentally spilled some drink on her lap and started panicking, 'Poor luck' thought Elisa after seeing the accident in front of her while giggling, she then once again picked up another piece of toast to munch on, when she suddenly heard someone next to her sigh, it was at that moment,

Elisa then remembered that she was sitting next to someone, she glanced at the guy from the corner of her eyes and noticed him leaning against the wall, he was tall and looked tired, well the shadows under his eyes spoke it all, his hair was messy, more like messy clumps, after noticing his face Elisa realized that she had never noticed this boy before, neither in the common room nor in any hallway, but one thing that she couldn't understand was that why was she paying attention to him as first place, she didn't know him but something in her was urging her to speak to him, after a couple of minutes of thinking Elisa finally spoke up "G-Great day r-right?"

As she stuttered, she knew she messed up but it wasn't her fault that the air between them was that awkward, she sighed and once again spoke up
"Umm, The position you are sitting in seems quite painful, by the way, which year are you, you can tell if you want, no force! it's just I never really saw you in the common room"
she mentally cursed to herself, she knew she was making things more awkward for herself and the
boy, she slowly sighed one last time and said
" I am Elisa by the way". After saying that she immediately looked down at the floor hoping that she hadn't made the guy uncomfortable or anything.

It was Friday, December 15th, 2023. Close to when the winter holidays would take place. Kim was not looking forward to the latter half of December. The annual Sato Yule Ball would be taking place again and he did not want to attend the gathering. He never did but this year was different from the others. Kim was afraid he'd do something he'd end up regretting if he went to the ball, which made him feel pressured a little.

Usually, he'd be able to hold himself back, but his current mental state was not to be messed with at the moment. Kim had drifted away from all of the people around him, as those who mattered the most to him were either gone or had completely disappeared from his life. He didn't hold it against them though, they probably had their own lives and didn't need someone like him to bother them. It wasn't as if he was very important.

He was only important to people because of his last name.

Those who didn't know it, quickly found out Kim wasn't anyone special and ended up leaving him. At least that was how Kim viewed himself.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Kim was currently dressed in a long-sleeved white button-up shirt, which laid over a dark shirt and pants combination and a matching belt around his waist. A silver chain necklace adorned his neck and a pair of simple earrings dangled from his earlobes, along with a silver bracelet around his left wrist. The fourteen year old's dark hair was pulled back into a messy short ponytail at the back of his head and a distant look could be seen on his face. Upon entering the Great Hall, Kim looked around the area. It was bustling with people as usual and he resisted the urge to shudder. He really didn't like being around groups of people. Classes were finally over for the week now.

Where could he go to take a seat? A place that didn't seem to have many people around them? Definitely not the Gryffindor table, most of them were loud, boisterous and too much into conversation. He would never sit at the Hufflepuff table... usually he'd go for Ravenclaw or Slytherin. But Ravenclaw held too many painful memories for him now. The only time he'd go there would be if @Bailey Glade dragged him over. But she usually came over to wherever he was seated anyway, so it was a moot point. That only left Slytherin, the House he'd actually wanted to get into in the first place. For his father. Even though Kim thought himself to be more akin to Ravenclaw's traits...

...well, he would have liked to have gotten into Slytherin for his father. Unfortunately, he'd followed in the footsteps of his mother and gotten into her House. Something that she'd consistently been teasing his father about ever since.

Kim would normally have avoided Slytherin too bc he didn't want to bother @Colin McCoire. Colin had been one of the friends he'd made when he'd first entered Hogwarts and had been very special to him. But he'd drifted away from him over the years. Probably because he'd realized Kim wasn't fun to be around after awhile and had decided to pursue his interests elsewhere. With other people. He'd idly wondered if Colin had only wanted to be friends with him because of Sophia. And now that Sophia was gone, Colin had no reason to want to continue to be friends. It made perfect sense. But upon careful inspection of the tables with green banners, Kim realized Colin wasn't there.

It would be safe to sit there for now, he wouldn't be bothering anyone. Therefore, Kim searched for an area near the wall to take a seat, because it was the best possible location. Away from anyone who might come over to sit at the table but comfortable since he could lean his back up against the wall. However, as he drew closer, Kim recognized a familiar face. @Draven Mirador. He came over to him and slid into the seat next to him, on Draven's left-hand side. "Yo." The one lone word escaped his lips. The fourteen year old's trademark greeting, something he still used even in his current state. Kim placed his satchel down onto the bench beside him and leaned back against the wall too.

He closed his eyes. "You chose a good spot, Raven." Kim remarked with his eyes closed. Yes, the dark haired teen had noticed the girl sitting to Draven's right, but he wasn't the type to make conversation for no reason. And there was no reason to talk to her at the moment. Not unless she addressed him first with a specific type of question. A clatter was heard soon after and a yelp from a female voice. Kim opened his eyes and looked over in the direction of the noise. But he didn't say anything, he simply observed what was going on. It was around this time that he heard the girl on Draven's right say something to him. But he didn't catch all the words, as he hadn't paid attention.

Painful. Year. Common Room. Elisa (@Elisa Shakestra). Those were the words he'd picked up over the chatter and noises going on around the room. Not to mention the clatter from the girl from before (@Alis Nyx) when she'd spilled the food and drinks all over herself. Elisa was probably the girl's name. She was probably saying something about seeing him in the common room? As for the previous two, maybe asking about his year and he had no idea about the first one. Kim knew he should eat or drink something but he wasn't feeling like doing much of anything right now. He hadn't slept for the past few days, probably bc of anxiety regarding the upcoming Yule Ball he wanted to avoid...

Kim Aoki was a scrawny boy with long limbs and tired eyes. He was also the boy sliding into the seat beside Draven, tucking himself in against the older boy. Draven gave him a tight lipped smile, moving over to allow for more room.

He ate slowly, methodically. The chaos of the great hall thrummed around him. A million conversations were happening at once, and he was removed from them. Simply a spectator.

He looked at his hands as he ate. At the neatly filed down nails, at the way his knuckles and the tips of his fingers were a shade darker than the rest of his skin. He looked at the golden knife and fork the student across from him was holding, cutlery scratching off the polish off one of the plates.

The table underneath his arms was cutting into his skin, leaving dull red marks where he leaned his weight against it.

A bang. His head snapped up towards it, the screeching of metal clattering on a stone floor coming from across the room. A girl, her entire being flaming red, was busy patting down her lap, supposedly to dry herself. Panic was painted all over her face in neon letters, tissues and the such making their way frantically toward her lap.

Draven shook his head, returning to his meal. Poor thing. She'd remember that moment for the rest of her life. The eyes burning into the back of her head, the snickers from everyone around her. He swallowed his piece of bread. It suddenly had the texture of carpet in his mouth, cutting his throat as it went down.

"G-Great day r-right?" someone from beside him perked up.

Draven paused, looking up. Tucked away behind a rather spectacular piece of smoked ham, sat a first year girl. His stomach dropped, suddenly, painfully, as his eyes registered the fair skin and almond eyes. "Great day," he replied automatically, raising his piece of bread in a pathetic attempt at a...toast. "I'm in my dorm a lot. Common room is too drafty."

Draven broke his remaining bread in two, offering the second piece to Kim. "Take pity on her," he told the other boy under his breath, inclining his head towards the panicking girl a table over. A hot air charm was all she needed to dry up. But Draven could feel his throat beginning to close up as his thoughts swirled towards casting something. Casting something at another person, no less.

Kim would have to do it.

Draven shook his head, popping another piece of bread in his mouth. His shoulder pressed up against Kim's, a silent acknowledgment. They couldn't force the words out their throats too often. Most afternoons were spent leaning against one another, doing homework or staring off into space.

Draven glanced at the boy beside him. His features were a blurry mess, smudged over by three sleepless nights. Kim looked like a bad watercolor painting. So did the girl beside him. Elisa? Lisa?

"Draven," he heard himself say, not moving to kiss her hand. He would have had to disturb the boy leaning against him.

"How are you liking your first year?"

While munching on her toast, Elisa wasn't expecting any kind of answer from the boy next to her, but when she did hear his answer, she was relieved that she hadn't made him uncomfortable, she sighed before looking towards him.

"Pleased to meet you Draven " she said while flashing a smile at him while raising her unused hand to him for a shake, the young girl would have originally done a half curtsey but due to the less space she had, she was limited to a handshake, she then noticed another boy with black long hair, tied up into a messy short ponytail sitting next to Draven,

"Excuse me! N-not to be rude b-but who might you be? It's just I remember seeing you in a Herbology Club but I can't really catch your n-name, You don't have to answer me if you don't want to" she said, while looking down at the floor while embarrassment hit her hard, the boy looked somehow intimidating to her, Elisa sighed once more before looking forward and picked up a treacle tart this time, the sweetness was her only comfort food.

While munching on the treacle tart, she heard Draven ask her about her first year, after sighing one last time, she faced him with a small smile and said
"First year's great, the classes are interesting, the professors are kind even though I am lacking out in the matter of friends currently, I am liking my first year, ", she then slowly looked back at her treacle tart and started to observe her surroundings,

The Great Hall was still very noisy, it was too much now for Elisa who was currently seeking nothing but silence, after a couple of minutes, She finally glanced at Draven
"How have you put up with this much noise until now? Any words of advice for a newbie?", she mumbled in a low tone while looking down, once again at the floor, but this time annoyed by the noise of the Great Hall.

Kim simply relaxed up against the wall with his eyes closed, as Draven ate methodically on his own. Once the clatter from across the room died down, the fourteen year old leaned back against the wall again but this time his eyes remained open for now. Kim's cloudy blue eyes alighted on the spread of food and drink before him on the Slytherin table. But didn't make a move to touch anything there. He didn't really feel hungry now.

He didn't feel thirsty. He didn't feel much of anything these days. As Draven broke the bread in his hand into two pieces and offered him one of them, Kim glanced over at him. The other boy's soft words took a few seconds to register in his mind but when they did, Kim heaved a little sigh. "Fine. Give me a second." He said and grabbed the bread to stick it partway into his mouth, one part of it dangling from his soft lips.

Kim didn't usually do things like this.

He always tended to just watch others cause chaos around him in the Great Hall during meal times. It was more fun that way for him.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Kim stood up, his back against the wall, and reached into his pocket to produce his wand. Taking the bread out of his mouth, he put it down onto his empty plate. Chewing the bit that'd already disintegrated into his mouth, Kim finished it and pointed his wand at the girl @Alis Nyx. She was a short distance away from him but Kim had faith in his abilities. Taking careful aim and judging the distance and people around her at the time, he took a deep breath and incanted, "Aer Calidus!". The fourteen year old's spell shot out of the end of his wand and towards the girl in question. If all went well, she would be nice and dry again, if she was still inside the Great Hall in the present time....

Taking a seat, Kim slumped back against the wall again, before remembering the partially eaten bread.

He leaned forward and picked up the previously abandoned carb to place it between his lips a second time. Kim's teeth sunk into the softness as he munched on it for a few seconds. It had been awhile since he'd last eaten.

Hell, Kim couldn't remember when the last time had been. He hadn't intended on eating at all but @Draven Mirador had offered him the bread. So he'd made an exception this time. As Draven's shoulder leaned up against his own, Kim found the slight touch to be rather comforting to him. It was as if Draven was saying 'I'm here. I'll be by your side. I won't leave again.' Which meant more to him than anything else. As Draven was one of those he'd thought he'd lost forever back in the past. Kim remained by Draven's side, the latter's shoulder and the wall behind their backs supporting both of them. It was almost soothing as the chatter of everyone around them faded into a soft roar.

But then, something broke the comfortable silence-but-not-silence. A girl's voice. The same girl who had spoken to Draven earlier. Kim glanced over at her and his mind tried to figure out what had just been said. She'd spoken to him? Or had it been Draven? No, it had been him this time. What had it been? Kim replayed the last few seconds back inside his mind and then tried to focus on the girl before them. Ah, Herbology Club. "Kim. You were... Elisa, right?" He asked, to confirm her name. "Do you have an interest in plants and herbs?" Kim asked, wondering why she'd joined the Herbology Club. It wasn't as if it was a requirement, no club was mandatory here....

As @Elisa Shakestra shifted her attention back to Draven and asked a question, Kim couldn't help but murmur something, even though it hadn't been directed at him. "...tune it out." Then again, sometimes people liked the noise. It helped them concentrate. Or it allowed them to feel more comfortable. There were people who could only study with noise in the background and others who needed complete silence. The former would usually study in their common rooms, outside somewhere, or in the Great Hall. The latter would either study inside their rooms or at the library or some other quiet place. Everyone was different. Kim was more of the latter, preferring silence to noise....

Irritated by her mishap, Alis let out a sigh and deftly slung the strap of her bag over her slender shoulder. Rising from her seat, she opted for a swift departure toward her dorm. The Gryffindor girl, whose sudden shrill laugh had not only disrupted Alis's reverie but had also left her feeling practically drenched in juice, offered a small, apologetic smile. Alis acknowledged the gesture with minimal response, conveying a sense of 'it's fine' through her subtle reaction, and little more.

The perfect moment to leave the Great Hall had arrived. The clamor had surged nearly threefold since her initial arrival, students still streaming in, and the dining atmosphere was now at its peak. Though she had been a major cause of the commotion just moments ago, Alis wasn't typically so clumsy. Then again, she wasn't usually guilty of engaging in lowkey stalking either, so there was that. This certainly wasn't the way she had envisioned 'making a splash' in her new social sphere...
Alis straightened her back, cutting her eyes at an older Gryffindor boy that snickered as he passed. "Charming," she said sweetly, flashing perfect teeth in false smile as if to say 'thanks for the unwelcome opinion'. He shrugged, but red bloomed on his freckled ears. Notably, the boy wasn't the only one that had witnessed her faux pas, which was particularly annoying considering poor table etiquette was at the top of her list of things that grated her nerves. So much for discretion, she mused sarcastically regarding her earlier, panicky attempt to salvage her robes- and dignity. While she prided herself on being well groomed at all times, she was just thankful she was wearing her school robes and not one of her favorite, tailored garments. Packing for school had been a challenging task, wishing she could take her entire wardrobe along.

While courage may have distinguished Gryffindors, Alis couldn't vouch for kindness as a universal trait in the lion's den. It seemed to boil down to the individual when it came to that aspect of personality, although most had appeared welcoming enough since her arrival. As Alis took just a couple of steps toward her destination, a sensation akin to a night-kissed summer breeze engulfed her, gently ruffling her robes so softly it was almost imperceptible. The feeling couldn't have lasted more than a second before Alis realized she was dry, the sensation of sticky residue lingering on her pale fingers before vanishing abruptly. "Oh, nice- hot air charm," commented a young Gryffindor boy she hadn't realized was standing behind her as she made her way out, evidently observing her and recognizing her awe.

More relieved than she thought she'd let on, Alis quickly scanned the Hall, eyes combing through the crowd until they caught @Kim Sato's across the room. She observed as he casually averted his eyes, slipping his wand back into his pocket and returning to his seat. A gentle wave of gratitude swept over her. It wasn't merely the practicality of having her robes dried; it was the unforeseen, wordless gesture that moved her. The way he had effortlessly acted and then resumed his meal so nonchalantly was as if his magic had reached out to offer comfort without expecting acknowledgment.

The awareness of Kim's location struck her. Momentarily immersed in gratitude, Alis had only just become aware that the older Gryffindor boy, who seemed to offer silent support, was casually leaning against the raven-haired Slytherin she had inadvertently been observing. If she didn't know any better, she might have accused the boy of captivating her attention the way he did. After all, she had been contentedly immersed in her reading, and he just had to be so... intriguing. She sighed, dispelling her silly thoughts, and in a heartbeat, she studied the trio at the Slytherin table.

She had spotted Kim around the common room on numerous occasions, enough to know his name and that he was a couple of years older than her. Despite never having a conversation with him and not sharing any classes, through a few earlier observations, Alis had come to regard him as quite popular. Alis could understand why; beyond his acts of kindness towards complete strangers, Kim exuded a cool, effortless demeanor and style that resonated with her. She might have wondered why he was seated at the Slytherin table instead of their own, but the lively atmosphere at her house table provided all the information Alis needed. Kim seemed to possess a certain duality that allowed him to seamlessly fit in anywhere, as if he belonged precisely where he was—nestled in camaraderie with the dark-haired Slytherin. Their bond was as easy and evident as a scrap of bread silently offered and trustingly accepted, without the need for words.

And on the other side of them, a glint of icy blonde hair and crushing blue eyes caught Alis’s attention. She found herself intrigued by the posh Slytherin girl @Elisa Shakestra engaged in conversation with the object of her earlier interest, curious what year she was in. Alis briefly observed her, noting her movements and delicate features as she politely smiled, engaging in what seemed like introductions and icebreakers. The three subtly conversed, the sophisticated girl picking at her food with mild interest. They appeared to move with a certain aristocratic grace, even for their age, hardly making eye contact yet communicating regardless, causing Alis to ponder their individual backgrounds.

But the obsidian-haired boy @Draven Mirador, despite his (what Alis perceived as) slightly broody and mysterious demeanor, seemed to attract people whether he intended to or not. Even from across rooms- apparently. A fact that left Alis feeling both fascination and irritation. There was no way, considering Kim's proximity to the boy, that he hadn’t noticed the whole ‘juice debacle’, perhaps even commented on it. The thought made her cringe with embarrassment, and she prayed he hadn’t perceived her as some sort of charity case. Tragic.

What was worse- Alis's carelessness starkly contrasted with the elegance seated next to him, an elegance that somehow mirrored his own. She might have felt a touch of envy toward the girl, but as she observed them, she actually thought they could form an attractive pair. Her fairness against his darkness was like a captivating clash that somehow complemented each other.

Just a boy, she reminded herself, her interest suddenly fading as her focus returned to Kim. Usually, she would just approach him, expressing her gratitude in person, feeling it would be somewhat impolite not to. However, as he didn't seem to be awaiting a sign of thanks, she simply tilted her chin in his direction with a small, genuine smile- an acknowledgment of his kindness that she hoped he caught- as she continued her way out of the Hall. She decided to save the introduction and expression of thanks for another, less awkward time. Besides, his mood seemed to match her own in not seeking conversation and, despite being dry, she still craved a hot bath, if only to wash away the entire day. That's enough attention for one evening, she mused as she disappeared into the corridor beyond the hall.

Draven finished his food before long, an arm wrapped around Kim's shoulders. The chaos had resumed around him, a whirlwind of conversations and situations passing him, allowing him to sink into the wall and disappear.

His head throbbed with the discord of it all, and sleep was starting to tug at his lids.

Stacking his plate, Draven carefully extracted himself from underneath Kim. "I'm going to the RoR, you're free to join," he told his friend, grabbing his bag. "It was nice to meet you," he inclined his head towards the girl, as he slung the bag over his shoulder. His exit was hasty, but then again, most things he did were hasty. He didn't like having his back to doors, regardless of how long he'd been at Hogwarts. "I'll see you around," he said, giving his companions a small smile.

He made towards the door, patting the bag as he walked and checking for his keys. They were always there, right where he was expecting them, and it was a strange sort of comfort to get the same sensation every time. The world steadied a little. The ground became firmer underneath his feet, more solid. The whirl of voices and sensations dulled to a manageable level. As long as he had a place he could lock himself in and block out all the noise, the noise was bearable.

Great Hall
interacting with @Draven Mirador and @Kim Sato
8:25 am
It had been a couple of minutes of silence as she munched into her treacle tart when she saw the boy next to Draven taking up his wand and pointing it at the previously panicked Gryffindor girl, who had spilled some liquid on herself a few moments ago, for a minute Elisa thought that he was going to cause more trouble for the poor girl. Still, then she saw how the spell shot by the guy instantly dried the spill, 'Woah! Third years are cool' she thought with fascination deep inside her eyes, but then Elisa yet again covered her fascination with her normal look
she then once again continued to eat the tart when she heard the boy say his name,

Kim, of course, how could she have forgotten his name, He had planted one of the best Aloe Vera out of most of them, she then heard him ask her if she was interested in plants and herbs, now this was something she would love to answer, "Well pleased to meet you Kim and yes I am Elisa, and about plants and herbs, I am pretty much in love with Herbology, I enjoy planting plants and gardening a lot, speaking of Planting your Aloe Vera of last time was perfectly planted, It kinda shocked me " she said with a smile and a cheerful yet low voice since she didn't wish to disturb Draven who was sitting next to her,

After a while of asking her question, she got no answer from Draven but not like she could blame him since the boy might not have heard her question she did hear Kim mumble "Tune it out", even though the boy might not have meant to say it to her, Elisa slightly nodded and continued to look around, After a while she felt Draven, standing up and get ready to leave, she heard him say something to Kim and then to her to which she simply said "The pleasure was mine to meet you" she said in a sweet voice, As he left, she saw him give a small smile then, It looked great on him, "See you around" she said with a smile,

A few moments after Draven left, Elisa realized that it was time for her to leave too, and maybe go somewhere quieter than stay in this noisy Great Hall, Elisa slowly picked her bag up and looked at Kim and said "Guess I better go, It was a pleasure to meet you, See you around", she then smiled and did a small wave before leaving the Great Hall herself to go towards the Library where there was nothing but silence.
