Waiting Hopefully Pv Quinn Brook Finished

Quinn cheered. The last period of the day had ended and winter break had begun. Quinn grabbed her bag and headed out the door. Didn't Minnie say something to me? Quinn wondered. Quinn turned to her friends.
"Hey guys, I'm gonna head out to the lake and see if it's iced over yet." Quinn waved goodbye to her friends and headed over to the lake. The long walk involved two moving flights of stairs and a creepy suit of armor. The cold air felt good on Quinn's skin as she walked out on the grounds. What did Minnie say? Quinn wondered. The ferns in the wind remindered Quinn that it was almost time to go home. I should really pack. Quinn thought guiltily. Quinn suddenly saw a flash of blond hair.
"Minnie?" Quinn asked. Quinn walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Um hey Minnie. Did you want to meet me here." Quinn smiled at Minnie. The christmas spirit must have been flowing through Quinn.
"Hey do you want to hang out? I have a free afternoon... well almost." Quinn thought to her plans for later and giggled. Quinn wondered if Minnie had anything to do later. It sure would make life easier.

"I'm free...I do have a bunch of potions homework from our little adventure though." She took a look at some of the plants. "I think this plant would look nice in my collection of "Plant Pastries" that I've been creating. " She smiled big. Then she saw the slightly impatient look on Quinn's face. Minnie cocked her head, confused. Then it hit her. Oh! She has to go and pack for winter break! I of course, won't be going. I want to stay at Hogwarts and experience Christmas at Hogwarts. I bet the food is spectacular. Minnie realized that she had been thinking for a bit too long. She cleared her throat. "I guess you have to pack for break...are you doing anything? I'm staying here at Hogwarts." Her smile turned a bit uncomfortable. She went back to observing the plants, and grabbed some parchment and a quill to sketch the plant as a little cupcake. I hope I don't seem rude, asking all these questions. Then she focused her thoughts on the plant, completely ignoring the person standing next to her. I could draw the icing like a petaly swirl and make the body of the cupcake green and red. That was when she figured out that she was ignoring Quinn. Oops! That's embarrassing. She thought, and turned bright red. Time to look back at her.

Minne mubled a littl eabout having a ton of homework to do form the hallway dventure. Then she went on about some plants. Quinn started to become a little impatient. Is this what she called me for? looking at plants? Quinn relized that Minnie noticed her looking impatient and looked confused. Then her face brightened and you could almost see the lightbulb over her. She cleared her throat, cheeks a light pink, and asked her if she was doing anything. Her smile turned almost sad when she told Quinn that she was staying at hogwarts. She quickly went back to looking at plants. She turned bright red after a few minutes and then turned back to Quinn.
"Well... I'm not sure what I'm doing for break. I think my mom and dad are going to cook something up for me. My family might go to london early so we can explore a little." Quinn looked back at Minnie.
"To bad you aren't going home for break, I bet there will be lots of fun things to do here at hogwarts!" Quinn smiled at Minnie. She obviously feels down about staying home. I would, I miss my family a lot. Quinn knew that she had to cheer Minnie up.
"Maybe after the holidays we can hang out again, I wouldn't mind." Quinn tried to sound as thought she really wasn't crushed for time.

"That sounds fine to me." Minnie said to Quinn. "And I'm excited about staying here! No need to try to cheer me up." She bit her lip and quickly added, "I noticed you trying to cheer me up." Stop noticing things! People will think you're weird! She turned even redder than before. I should change the topic. She thought.

"Um....do you want to know a cool fact about me?" She then continued on without waiting for Quinn's answer. "I'm a metamorphmagus." She looked at Quinn's face hopefully. "You do believe me right?" She asked. "I can prove it. Watch." Minnie screwed up her face. Picture yourself with green hair. And her short blonde hair turned into short green hair. She opened her eyes, pleased. "See? I didn't use a potion or a spell for that." She smiled, genuine this time.

Oh wait! She needs to go pack! I feel like an idiot, changing the subject to make her not be able to leave. I should tell her she can leave. But I need to do it politely. Minnie gulped slightly, and opened her mouth to speak. "I....um....I should go...got places to be?" She turned red and her hair went back to normal. That was terrible!

Quinn was relived to her Minnie say that she was excited about staying at hogwarts. I don't want her to feel bad. Quinn thought. Quinn smiled at Minnie. Quinn felt her cheeks grow hot as Minnie explained that she noticed Quinn trying to make her feel better. Quinn watched as Minnie screwed up her face in consentration.
"Oh my gosh!" She yelped as Minnie's hair turned bright green. She's a metamorphagus. Quinn thought. That's really cool! Quinn smiled at Minnie. Minnie suddenly turned bright red and her hair became blond again.

"Oh it's fine you don't have to go, why don't you walk back to the castle with me so that we can talk while I can still get to my dormitory to pack in time." Quinn smoothed her hair down and turned toward the castle.
"So, what are you going to do during your stay at hogwarts, I hear that there's going to be a mad snowball fight." Quinn grinned. Turning back to Minnie, Quinn pointed at the plants.
"You know, I never really was a huge plant person but it might help me in potions if I learn all the plant names." Quinn said. I wonder if Minnie likes potions? Quinn wondered why Minnie was staying at hogwarts for a few seconds then shook it off. That's probobly a personal reason. Quinn thought.

Minnie smiled at Quinn. "Maybe. Um...well I have to go." She slowly backed away towards Hogwarts. "I have lots of homework to do before break ends and you have to go pack. And Also, I do quite like potions. You are right about the plant knowledge coming in handy." She looked at Quinn and grabbed her bag, which had some herbs. "I can show you some? I collected a few plants in herbology."

She took out a bag with some essence of ditany in it. "I keep this in my bag in case I need it for a potion. I keep it in my jar of ingredients. It's a rather small jar but it does the job." She blushed as she took out her ingredient jar. It had a few herbs and ingredients that came from plants, but that was it. Please don't find it dorky. Then she remembered that she had extra potions homework. Chocolate frogs! I have to go! She smiled at Quinn and decided to end their chat.

"Why don't we meet in the....great hall? After break sounds good. I-extra potions homework! Got to go!" And with that, she ran to the castle. She went straight to her dormitory and plopped down on the bed, furiously doing her potions homework. I hope she remembers after the break. I hope I wasn't too rude. She sighed and continued with her potions. I hope I've made a friend.

Quinn was midely suprised by the abrupt end to her chat with Minnie.
"Oh um, sure. After break is good, I'll have to check my schedule for a good time. I'll stay in touch by owl over break." Quinn smiled and waved to Minnie. Minnie shot off towards the castle. Probobly has a lot of homework. Quinn thought. Quinn looked around the grounds.

It's very interesting that she has a jar of ingredients around with her. Quinn thought. Quinn walked towards the castle laughing. Well better get packing. She thought. Quinn tried not to fall off the rotating stairs and finnaly made it back to her common room. I wonder what Minnie will do over break. Quinn pondered. Quinn decided that she would most definetly send an letter or two Minnie's way over break.

I wonder if Minnie thinks were friends. Quinn thought. Quinn grabbed her extra cloak and stuffedd it into her trunk. To soon her stuff was packed and ready to go. Quinn thougth for a moment that Minnie had the right idea staying. She was going to miss this place. Suddenly Quinn snorted with laughter. At the beggining of the year I wanted to go back home, now I want to stay here. Quinn knew that hogwarts was like a second home to her but her first home- the one in ireland- would always hold the memorys. Quinn closed her trunk and sat on her bed.
