On a rainy December day at Hogwarts, the castle seemed to sigh with the weight of the weather. Delilah, with her wild blonde curls now slightly frizzier due to the humidity, looked out of the wi
ndow and sighed dramatically.

In her mismatched ensemble of a neon green jacket and bright orange pants, Delilah strutted down the corridor with Mr. Meowsart cradled in her arms, humming a tune only she could decipher. The poor cat, now an alarming shade of lime, cast betrayed looks at anyone they passed. " "Oh, come on, Meowsart, green is the new black! You're a trendsetter, my feline fashionista," Del chirped, casting a glance at her neon-green companion, and he responded with a discontented meow.

She rounded a corner, talking to herself as she went. . "Oh they must be rolling with laughter ! Those older kids with their lame pranks. Ugh, I should've known better than to trust them." Her eyes scanned the hallways for someone who might have a clue about cat color reversal spells.

As she woke up this morning and entered the common room of Gryffindor, she discovered the scene of the crime. The room buzzed with laughter, Sir Meowsart was shivering in the middle of the room. Delilah's cat had been the unfortunate victim of a well-executed prank by some mischievous older students. Most of the time it was Del who played tricks and pranks on others, she admits, it is less funnier when you are the victm. But then again, Delilah never did anything as dull and evil as to turn someone's cat green, it's not even amusing !

As they meandered through the castle, Del petted her cat while chuckling. "Fear not, Sir Meowsart, for today we embark on a quest! A quest to find the elusive Undo-the-Green-Spell expert. Surely, Hogwarts has one of those. If not, I'll just have to invent it!"

Turning a corner, she spotted a particularlyinteresting older student, his green hair darker than Meowsart's, Delilah hurried over. "You! I need your expert advice involving my dear Sir Meowsart here. He's gone green, you see, and I've tried everything! Well, not everything... but most things. Okay, maybe just a couple of things. But still!"

Delilah gazed up at the older student with the biggest, most pleading eyes she could muster, resembling a pair of oversized puppy eyes but with a distinct feline flair. She clasped her hands together, holding Sir Meowsart close to her heart, his green fur seeming to go lighter and lighter.

"Pleeeease, kind sir with the splendidly green hair, could you possibly, maybe, perhaps undo this colorful catastrophe that was bestowed upon my dear Mr. Meowsart? Look at these eyes!" Delilah pleaded, her gaze magnifying to maximum cuteness, "They're practically saying, 'Undo the green spell, pretty please with a cherry on top?'"

Sir Meowsart, sensing the dramatic urgency of the situation, contributed with a pitiful meow and an equally beseeching stare.

โ†’ Wand - Pet Rock โ€˜Gorgonโ€™ - Parchment
Irritated as always, Jay wandered down the corridors of Hogwarts until he he finally made up his mind to run outside like a maniac in the rain. He had stayed up attempting to finish a late assignment, without much surprise he did not finish. Instead, the Griffindor earned a heach ache in which he hoped running in the rain would fix. The past few days surely seemed like one mistake after the other, it felt endless for the poor lad.

Jay used a spell to dry his clothes, except it wasnโ€™t quite perfect. When could he ever catch a break? Now, the wet collar of his turtleneck bothered him. In addition, a lionet with a wild mane decided to bother him, โ€œBloody hell,โ€ he muttered under his breath as he turned to face the girl holdingโ€ฆ a feline? It was a rather amusing sight, or much more accurately, blinding. The neon was quite unexpected, it reminded Jay of a poisonous frog. Indeed, it was a warning that this girl was going to drive him insane.

โ€œSir Meowsart?โ€ Jay repeated, much more dumbfounded by the name than the colour of the cat. Rummaging through his pockets, Jay finally took out his wand and crossed his arms.

โ€œWell, why not keep him green? Isnโ€™t he quite dashing?โ€ The sixth year said, absolutely horrified by the expression the girl held. One might even think the cat was suffocating under her graspโ€ฆ The sight of a green cat reminded Jay of his pet spider, he had never thought about changing her colour. It was something to add to his bucket list for sure.

In the distance of the corridor, the awkward sound of a pet rock could be heard as it was rolling towards the Griffindors.

Delilah's eyes sparkled with a mix of delight and excitement as the boy addressed the unusual name of her green cat. She clutched the neon-furred feline a bit tighter, a dreamy smile playing on her lips.

"Oh, you noticed! Sir Meowsart here is my absolute pride and joy," Delilah replied, her voice a whimsical melody. "I named him after a dream I had where cats were the great artists of the wizarding world and you know becuase he looks like Mozart, you know, the composer? They share this regal, elegant vibe. Plus, Sir Meowsart sounds delightfully whimsical, don't you think?

However, The boy's nonchalant suggestion left Delilah torn between frustration and amusement. She couldn't decide whether he was intentionally being difficult or simply missed the absurdity of the situation. As she regarded him, her lips curled into a bemused half-smile, and she shook her head in disbelief.

"Green suits him as much as a raincoat suits a fish," Delilah quipped, her voice laced with playful sarcasm. "He's a majestic feline, not a walking neon sign!"

Delilah leaned in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a theatrical whisper, "Between you and me, Sir Meowsart is not exactly thrilled about his green makeover. I think he believes it clashes with his mysterious, artistic aura. He's been giving me these disdainful glares since morning."

The distant clatter of a pet rock rolling down the corridor caught her attention. She had a rock friend before but she ended up exchanging it with a sock friend instead, she found him much more fun and less clingy !

The girl had a tendency to rant on, it reminded him of a friend from long ago. Jay nodded at the mention of the whimsical name, he had barely just understood the reference to the muggle composer. The felines name certainly had much history behind it in comparison to Jays spider, Silly Puffy Jumper. A mouthful, it quite literally came from the fact that the arachnid was silly, puffy, and jumped on him when they first met. Though at times, the green haired lad did prefer simplicity over things such as concerning fever dreams. Was this what the younger generation was up to now?

โ€œAhem, I figured the term โ€˜like mother like sonโ€™ would apply but I guessed wrong?โ€ Jay said, raising a brow as he glanced between the coat and the cats colours. It was utterly ironic for her to mention the cat as a neon sign when herself was just that exactly. Perhaps this was one of those cases in which the owner did not wish to match with their pet, it was a common trend Jay would see often. It was rather cute at times, his own arachnid wears a pink little bow and to match Jay wore a pink bracelet on his wrist that was made from the same ribbon.

โ€œAlright, alright,โ€ he said, holding up his hands as if in defeat from hearing her rant, โ€œI support the artistic aura and all so Iโ€™ll help,โ€ Jay added. The sixth year was only agreeing due to the fact that she had reminded him much of the friend he once had, she was rather silly and had the same tendency to rant.

โ€œEither way, why in Godricks name would you change your cats colour and not know how to turn him back?โ€ he asked her as the thought occurred to him, Jay thought that perhaps she had snuck a glance at a spell book higher than her grade level. As if the troublesome lad himself hadnโ€™t ever done that beforeโ€ฆ

The guy was funny. And extremely irritating.

Delilah gave him a theatrical eye roll, "โ€˜Like mother, like sonโ€™? Maybe you should focus on your wardrobe and leave the style critiques to someone with an ounce of taste. But hey, not everyone can master the art of looking fabulous while breaking all the rules. It's an acquired skill." She flashed a cheeky smile.

Del often wore mismatched items, flashy outfits some were even rivaling wizard's wardrobes. But it was her style, her own and she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. She liked being unique and special in her own way.

"Look, it's not about me. It's about my cat looking like a radioactive failed experiment for the rest of his nine lives," she retorted, gesturing to the squirming feline in her arms. "He's brighter than my future !"

As he raised his hands in mock surrender, Delilah's irritation didn't wane. She shot him a pointed look, silently daring him to make light of her predicament any further. However, when he conceded to helping, a flicker of surprise crossed her features. She hadn't expected him to be willing to assist, considering his initial indifference, and mockery.

"Fine, but no funny business. " she warned, a hint of protectiveness in her voice as she clutched the green cat a bit tighter. "thank you," she conceded, her tone softening.

However, when the boy questioned why she had changed her cat's color without knowing how to reverse it, Delilah's annoyance escalated. "It wasn't me!" she exclaimed, her voice carrying a defensive tone. "Some older Gryffindors thought it would be funny to mess with my cat this morning. I woke up, and he was like this."

In a sudden recollection from her nine-year-old self, Delilah recalled being unjustly blamed in class for various misdeedsโ€”rude drawings, childish pranks. She was infamously dubbed "it wasn't me" by her peers. One significant memory stood out: a classmate threw a cheating paper that landed on her lap during a test. In an unfair turn, she was harshly punished by the teacher, enduring a beating until her hands turned a painful shade of red. She will never forget that day, everyone laughed at her as though she wasn't suffering an injustice at the moment. She wondered why humans are the way they are, so heartless and indifferent to other's pain.

Her mind raced with thoughts of finding those responsible for the prank. She was determined to give them a piece of her mind, but for now, she needed the guy's help to fix the situation.
