The sweet voice left compliments of one's name as it started asking further, yearning for meanings like his own name had as lips smiled slightly towards his beautiful explanation.
That lead her head to wander deeper into thoughts of the past when the girl was around 4 years old, her mother caressing silky grey locks as the child was leaning on warm lap. It was not long before the woman's death that the beautiful memory took place, this was one of the moments Ophelia would think about when thinking of Anastasia Silverton.
Yes, she was the one who picked the name 'Ophelia' and father picked the name 'Thana', both sounded fluent together as they were accompanied with the surname Silverton.
She knew many meanings of her name, most famous being 'help' or 'helper', and the character from Hamlet of course, she was never entirely certain what drove her mother into naming her Ophelia, one would always answer vaguely to the child's question, perhaps wishing the girl might figure it out on her own when the time would come.
"I'm not quite certain yet."
She answered to the curious Slytherin as a tint of melancholy colored one's soul, her name was in a way a symbol which Anastasia Silverton left behind, the child's heart hurt, missed the woman greatly and oh how one wished mother was still here, caressing her still silky grey hair.
But melancholy was accompanied with determination, one's words did indeed leave a focus on the word yet. One day she will know perhaps and what a day that will be.

The words sounded almost wistful, as if some dreamy memory had crept into her mind, tinging all of her words, and certainly her deep eyes, with its mirage so lustful for discovery. Oliver was quite unsure if this was good or bad. That tone of voice often, in his family, accompanied tales of long-lost times and people, homes to which they could never return. But then, they would smile sadly at Oliver, and tell them how happy they were to remember these things. He could not tell if he had done something bad to bring up whatever faraway time or place she longed after.
“‘Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom,’” he said, quoting Aristotle in an even tone. Perhaps, she didn’t need to know what her name had meant to her parents, but she could make a meaning for herself. He realized that even he didn’t know much about who he was. But he was still very young. However, that didn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. At any moment, he could be plucked up from this earth. After all, the philosopher is just as terrified of death while home alone at his fire as when he is stranded on a leaking boat that the wind is attempting to run up on the rocks. The bow is strung at all men’s hearts, and it only takes a moment for one to be taken up to your fate, whether heaven or hell.
Life was so unpredictable. He always let himself be defined by his family’s expectations of him. Beyond that, who was he?

The boy surely knew his way around words, the next line he spoke was said as it would be his last breath but the Aristotle's quote somehow managed to draw a tiny smile on one's lips, face tilted just a little towards the straw floor, baby blue switched down and perhaps if a curious gaze would focus better towards one's pale face, it could see a small, really small, part of white beginning to peek from behind of her lips as they curved a tad stronger.
She then looked back up as if nothing happened, some grey locks managed to rest over her cheeks but she didn't mind it really, the feeling was soft even, as the strands caressed the gentle skin with tenderness. She focused towards the Slytherin again, thinking about the wisdom he shared.
She could have sworn she heard those words from someone before, perhaps her father? Whoever it was didn't matter at the moment but she indeed somewhat liked Oliver's so-far-shown perspectives of the world. He was right, not only that they were here to learn spells and potions, to care for the greatest of creatures, they were here to find their place in the world; who they were, who were they now and who they wanted to become.
And with that, head gently nodded in response, the lips now tried hiding their curving to a certain degree but on the inside, she was still smiling and oh, what a beautiful grin that was.
