Setting Routine in the Rehearsal Room
Sylvee used to have a regular practice schedule. Go to school, come home, practice, do homework. It was admittedly harder over the summer, but still for the most part consistent. When Sylvee was accepted to Hogwarts, one of her greatest worries was not being able to practice. However, this seemed to not need be of great concern anymore. Sylvee was glad that there was a place that she could continue her routine. With a satisfied smile, Sylvee took out her violin to begin. She started with scales. Major and their minor counterparts. Then she looked at the music she had set out before her and played.
The soft, sweet sound of her violin rang throughout the room. The instrument sung like a dove in the morning. The vibrato rung through the chamber, the walls positioned perfectly for the best sound. The dulcet minor soon turned to a lively major. Going faster and faster!
Sylvee was so deep into her music that she wouldn't have batted an eye had someone come in. After a few more minutes of playing, she ended on a B/G double-stop, and holding the note out. She didn't want for the song to end, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
It was only as Sylvee lowered her violin from her shoulder that she realized she wasn't alone in the room.

Setting Routine in the Rehearsal Room
Interacting with: @May Snow
Sylvee, still slightly disconnected from reality after finishing the song, was startled at the voice. She spun around, nearly bumping her violin against the side of the chair she was sitting on.
Hi, I'm May Snow, and you are? the girl had asked. Still recovering from the small shock, Sylvee was tempted to snap at the girl. She shook her head, clearing it of the thought. What was she doing? She had yet to make any friends at Hogwarts, so why ruin this perfect opportunity?
Sylvee studied the girl before her. She seemed to be around Sylvee's age and Sylvee vaguely recalled seeing the girl before, but could not place what house she was in.
Erm, hello May, Sylvee said, standing up quickly, which made her head spin. My name is Sylvee Evans. W-what brings you here? Sylvee mentally smacked herself. That sounded so dumb. Why could she not act normal around new people? I was, erm, just finishing up. I mean, unless I can stay, if that's cool with you? What instrument do you play? Sylvee couldn't stop stumbling over her words, so she had to take a deep breath.
Pull yourself together, girl. she whispered to herself. Sylvee looked back up, now with the first faint trace of a smile on her face. Sorry, I'm not the best at talking to people.
