Closed Summer Camp Build-A-Bug-Hotel

"Ah, okay." She nodded, hoping that their seeker was having a good vacation elsewhere.

"Yeah, it'd be nice to see some new faces on the team," she agreed, before moving onto the question at hand. "We actually have kind of the opposite- 3 chasers and 2 beaters yet no seekers or keepers. Or at least, our seeker didn't come here. I think they might have left the team completely at the end of the season, though." Whether they were actually still on the team, Kit wasn't sure, assuming she'd hear about it once the girl returned to Beauxbatons and the new school year started. "Yeah, definitely try it out! Honestly, a practice match seems like the perfect opportunity to try any of the positions out. Maybe even move between them-" She laughed at the thought, wondering how chaotic it would be to pass bats mid-game or find the snitch with the limited time.

"A match made in heaven." She grinned, before shaking her head lightly. "No, I wouldn't ask that of you nor should anyone else if it can be helped- just try it out sometime in practice and I'll do the same. We can compare notes." Would they enjoy the same aspects of the position or how might their technique and style differ? It was all fun things to discuss, a curious look into other's people logical or creative or playful attitudes and how it shaped everything else. "Sounds like a plan," she parroted, her smile only growing. Her favorite part of the summer camp was the interschool aspect of it, the fact that she could practice, compete, and engage with other students in a way that was typically limited to only her Beauxbatons sphere throughout the year, save a ball or two.

Eaten fresh was the important part, few day old pastries still tasty yet not nearly as delectable and crisp. "We're in agreement there-" The pastries were the superior of the sweets, although they all were amazing. "Same, it was a blast. Being able to meet everyone too certainly added to the experience- they definitely should, what a way to start off the summer." Get everyone on a sugar rush then release them for the summer, it sounded like the perfect plan.

"They are so adorable. I really didn't mind them rummaging through all my things for something shiny, but perhaps the novelty hadn't quite worn off. I loved them so much." She giggled, staring up to the ceiling of the tent with a shake of her head. It was too much, the awe and care Kit felt for a creature she had met with all of- an hour? Perhaps even half that? She would have too long into them more when she went back to Beauxbatons, see if she could have the professor there care for them. As for the next hotel, her head bobbed in agreement. "That sounds like a great idea. What do you think they'd like? Perhaps a mirror, since they do care about appearance-" Whether there was actually a mirror in the supplies was another matter, although perhaps some scrap bits of aluminum would work if reflective enough? She'd get up from her seat at the table to reach over, sifting through the available material to see what might work.

She didn't seem to mind his short answer or take particular notice, grabbing some shinier materials and inspecting them before putting it in a separate pile between them. "Neither do I," she shook her head before pausing for a moment in thought. "I never thought about it much, which seems a bit surprising to me now." It seemed entirely in Kit's nature to beg her parents for some sort of animal companion, yet she had no recollection of ever trying. "I guess I was happy with my sister's company and didn't want the responsibility." She shrugged, a slight smile and a far away gaze that quickly left as she returned to gathering supplies. "What about you? Do you have any siblings?"

"Of course! Wouldn't want you missing out on the fun." She had expected he would always be up to it from how their conversation had gone so far, but she grinned and nodded her head appreciatively. It was nice to get confirmation and have such enthusiasm for the idea- if she spent time actually figuring out the logistics and setting up invites/teams then it could happen... or she'd enjoy the rest of her summer camp relaxing. Either way sounded fun, although the idea would definitely have to come into fruition at some point whether this summer or the next.

It was good that he had agreed with her idea considering she had already started to reach for the glue- her free hand would also shuffle around the rest of the materials to find more shiny items as she nodded. "Ah, multiple little shiny things- I like that! Pretty and effective." She smiled as she sat back down, eyes gazing around to find other neat little trinkets or pretty pieces to add. Kit had already taken on the role of designer unintentionally as he offered the idea, soft laughter escaping as she caught herself. Her other hobby was art and was often a more relaxing activity, easily falling into it as Kit didn't have to think much while making art. Rather pouring whatever thoughts or feelings seemed stuck made for pretty pieces and a calmer nature.

"Yeah, that sounds great! You probably need the glue first then," she noted, handing it over before scanning through her collection of chosen materials to begin forming shiny and bright patterns that could easily be attached to the base once Tone was done. There was also plenty of leftover glitter and sparkles that could coat the entire interior if they wanted, although she suspected the pop with a 'rustic' background would look quite nice.

"I do. She's older than me and way smarter, but she's also really cool so-" She shrugged, a smile on her face as her gaze seemed to soften at the thought of her sibling. The rest of the summer would probably be spent with Isabelle, excited at the opportunity of seeing her again. "Mmm yeah" Kit couldn't really argue against that considering her own relation. "Well, that's where friends come in- fill in those gaps of fun sibling activities without any of the fighting." She glanced over to Tone with a soft smile, hopeful that the words were nice enough, before turning back to the project at hand.

"I love it! I think it turned out great- what a way to complete the collection." She grinned, raising her arm to offer him a high-five even as her hands sparkled from glitter or dried bits of glue. Kit would definitely have to clean up some but it wasn't her biggest priority at the moment. "I- don't think I do actually... Do you?"

Working on the final craft together was fun, Kit enjoying the exchange of ideas as the decorations within the structure Tone made came to fruition. She was proud of their project, nodding at it appreciatively as the final touches brought the whole thing to life and truly made it sparkle. The fairies were sure to love it.

"She does! Well, she did. She's graduated now, but there were a couple of years when both of us were at Beauxbatons." It was a bit strange to think of her older sibling as a graduate- but Isabelle was an adult now and onto bigger and better things now. It would be a strange adjustment once the upcoming year started, but Kit had plenty of friends to reallocate the time to that she would typically spend with her sister. Not quite the same, but it would still be fun.

"Same to you! Quite the collection we've got here. Best in show, definitely." She grinned in reply, watching some of the sparkles drift through the air from their high five. Magic was a nice thing for small glitter messes Kit imagined, a small reminder to herself to make sure she wouldn't accidentally infect the rest of her belongings with the shimmery substance. "That's fair! I hope you enjoy the rest of your day then, and get what you need to do done." His further explanation was still kind of vague, but the girl didn't really notice or mind. The time crafting together had been thoroughly enjoyed and wanting a break was understandable.

"Yeah that sounds great!" She'd take a moment to catch the multiple options he offered, giving each of them a strong nod and a grin. It had gone well then, Kit slowly getting up from the table herself as he started organizing and heading out. "See you around then, and talk to you later! Letters sound awesome, and thank you for the collaboration!" She waved as he left, watching the exit for a moment before glancing around the area. Sitting had grown comfortable, so she stretched out her arms and readjusted to standing and walking around. All of the projects done in this tent and satisfied with how they turned out, the Beauxbatons student would wait a few moments longer before exiting out of the tent as well.
