Golden Duo Roleplay
Olivia sat in the great hall after being sorted into Gryffindor. She sat off by herself as she sketched in her drawing book making little doodles of flowers, stars, little swirls. Sometimes she would draw people around her. She sat taking in her surroundings and listening to some of the conversations around her as she sat silently. Occasionally she'd take a bite of her food but she didn't touch it very much. As she was eating a small beeping noise came from the little thing on her arm. It was an insulin pod that basically pumped insulin into her body when she needed it. She was type-1 diabetic and had been since she was born. As she heard it beeping that meant it was empty and needed changing. She reached over grabbing her bag off the floor and dug through it grabbing a new one before painfully yanking the old one off her arm and throwing it away. She took a small wipe and cleaned her arm before painfully putting the new one on and winced as she felt the needle pierce her arm "ouch!" she said to herself before pulling her sleeve down over it to try and hide it.

Yehor was in a great mood today, he was going to the Great Hall and hoped to finally meet someone with whom he could be friends.
When Yehor entered the Great Hall, he sensed a calm and cheerful atmosphere; lively conversations and the clinking of plates echoed in the air. Yehor still had no one to talk to in his free time, or just to go for a walk. He usually strolled with a group of Hufflepuffs, occasionally joining in on some of the conversations as a member of the house
But now, he noticed a fellow student, sitting alone in the Gryffindor corner of the Great Hall. He watched her actions and in the end, he decided to approach and strike up a conversation. As he got closer, he caught a glimpse of the intricate designs of flowers, stars, and swirls, admiring the creativity that graced the pages of the sketchbook. He said:
"Hey there," Yehor greeted with a friendly smile, taking a seat across from her, he looked at the sketchbook again. ""Did you draw this? Very good, I never knew how to draw. I'm Yehor, by the way, from Hufflepuff. From a distance, you seemed confused, or maybe scared, so I decided to go over and ask if you were okay?"
As Yehor spoke, he noticed the girl trying to hide her hand but didn't attach much importance to it, continuing to wait for an answer.

Olivia glanced up hearing someone speaking to her. When she looked up she saw a boy about the same age as her sitting across from her "Huh? Oh they're just little doodles! I'm Olivia or Liv, whatever you prefer" It's nice to meet you Yehor. Your name sounds so cool!" Olivia said with a smile. Olivia lightly brushed her hair back behind her ear showing her face a bit more while she made conversation with Yehor. "what house are you from?" Olivia said with a soft smile while bouncing her foot under the table.
Olivia closed her sketchbook and put it aside to try and at least seem interested in the conversation. "so uhm, where are you from? i'm from london!" Olivia seemed interested in this guy in a friendly way and wanted to get to know him. "Man I hope he doesnt think im annoying or something! he seems so friendly and cool! Maybe I'm asking too many questions! God, relax will you? stop worrying so much and just be yourself!" Olivia thought to herself as she listened to him and spun the pen in between her fingers fidgeting with it as well as playing with the rings on her fingers. "

Egor smiled, pleased with Olivia's enthusiasm.
"Crawley is a town near London. It is not such a famous and big city, but it is beautiful in its own way," he explained
After looking around the great hall he said, “Yes, Hogwarts, it's like a magical maze. I also got lost, but it seems I finally remembered where to go, and now I don't get lost as often. But this moving staircases... I still don't understand how to use it," he added with a smile.
After thinking a little, Egor said: "Potion, right? This is an interesting lesson. However, my favorite classes are charms and defense against the dark arts. I dream of becoming an auror. ” he admitted with a lighthearted smile.
Yehor was also a first year, so he answered: "Yes, I am also a first year. Therefore, we will study together in the coming years."
"No need to apologize for rambling. I'm enjoying our conversation. And it's genuinely nice to meet you too, Olivia," he replied, feeling a sense of camaraderie.
Looking into Olivia's eyes, he asked, “Do you have many friends at Hogwarts? I, for example, do not. I only know a couple of people from home and that's all. And one more thing, after finishing Hogwarts, what would you like to be?"

Olivia smiled a bit "uh no I don't have many friends either but you seem pretty cool!" Olivia said with a bit of softness in her tone. "as for what I want to do? well i've never thought about it! Being a professor would be cool! OH! or running a joke shop like that one in diagon alley! That place is so freaking cool!" Olivia definitely seemed like she'd be the chaotic bubbly fun type. Definitely the kind to get them into some trouble. "I've heard some pretty interesting things and rumors about the owners of the shop"! Olivia seemed slightly ADHD but in a fun kind of way. "i heard some facsinating stories about them! They definitely sounded like they'd be so fun to be friends with! Then again that was the 90's, a much cooler time." Olivia said excitedly sharing her random little fun facts. "No, I heard once they set off fireworks in the middle of a class! WICKED!! Sadly, I heard rumor that the owner of the shop lost his brother and that he doesnt even play pranks or anything like that anymore. Then again, it's all hypothetical and rumors but imagine if it was true. It'd be so cool to be friends with them!"

Yehor smiled back, finding Olivia's energy contagious. "Hey, being a professor or running a joke shop sounds like a blast! Diagon Alley is full of wonders, and the joke shop is wonderful. The owners must have some incredible stories. Fireworks in the middle of a class? That's legendary! And losing a brother... that's tough. But, you know, sometimes rumors exaggerate things. People change, but it'd still be awesome to be friends with them. Who knows, maybe you'll have your own set of magical adventures someday!"

Hogwarts seemed to be the perfect place for someone like her, brimming with magical possibilities. As they continued chatting, Yehor suddenly became interested in learning more about Olivia's family, so he asked, "Do you have any brothers or sisters? I have an older sister, a brother, and a younger sister. Oh, how many Hogwarts stories I've heard from my older siblings... And they are all very interesting! The younger sister is still small and has nothing to tell, but I am sure that she will become a wonderful magician when she grows up. By the way, I come from a pureblood family, but I don't see anything wrong with being half-blood or Muggle-born; on the contrary, in some situations, it can help a lot." It seems that Yehor got fired up with the conversation, and now he was sitting and looking at Olivia, waiting for an answer

Olivia smiled laughing a little as she listened to him get so excited. "you know? something tells me we'd be awesome friends!" Olivia said as she was packing up her bag. "I mean you seem awesome! You're funny and you sound like the COOLEST person ever!" Olivia complimented him in chances of making a new friend. "Uhm, I'm an only child sadly but it's not as bad as it sounds! Studies show children who have no siblings tend to be more creative and quick-thinker" Olivia said as she shrugged her shoulders. "you're a pure-blood!? That's so cool! I'm a half-blood! mum's a muggle, dad's a wizard. Bit of shock for her when she found out! What's it like being pure-blood? It must be so cool growing up in the magic world your whole life! I was raised in the muggle world which just by looking around isn't nearly as cool as the wizarding world!" Olivia said as she finished her food. "I'm heading off to potions class, would you want to walk with me? It'd be really cool to get to know you more" Olivia politely asked as she proceeded to check her blood sugar levels making sure everything was good.
