The first week of the school year was a tad bit interesting. Starting with the ceremony the young girl could not feel a bit betrayed by the hat. Afterall she should have been a Slytherin! Or at least that was the house everyone in the Rose family was sorted into. Even Ulysses was a Slytherin and he had more of Gryffindor traits?! How was that even possible?!
Growling in frustration Helena figured she would try and relax today and the best place to go was the library! A quiet atmosphere away from the unruly crowd of first years and older students.
It wasn’t like Helena despised others. She just did not get along well. Interacting with people truly terrified her honestly.
The honey blonde girl stepped forth into the vast expanding library. Helena’s ocean blue eyes scanned the vast room wondering where the best place to go would be. Sighing softly the young girl started walking towards the back of the library.
The calming sound of the enchanted books fluttering about placing themselves back onto their respective shelves where they belong. The atmosphere was rather pleasant. The sound of pages being turned by students who were either studying or just enjoying a good book echoed throughout the vast room.
The scent of old and new ink wafted through the vast room along with the scent of old and new paper. If one really enjoyed that smell it was a bliss to them.
Helena quietly trekked up the spiraling stairs that rested in the back of the library. The young girl walked up the spiraling stairs. Her honey blonde hair swayed with every movement she took.
Once at the top of the stairs Helena took a right turn heading towards the back where a cozy fire was lit near a large bookcase surrounded by some comfy chairs.
Helena smiled softly; this after all looked like a perfect spot to relax and read. As she approached the bookshelf the young girl started examining the books wondering what would be best to read.
The first year girls' ocean blue eyes scanned the shelves with a very curious look. The look of longing to find something of interest swam inside of her deep ocean blue eyes as they swam with nothing but curious and eagerness to read.

Atlas needed some time to get used to the idea of attending Hogwarts. Although the changes that are occuring in his life did not significantly affect him to a point of having sleepless nights, it inadvertently, increased his curiosity and zeal for exploring his surroundings more and more.
Growing up in the muggle world somewhat restricts one's ability to imagine what is beyond belief. Most classes teach magic, and for some reason the young Slytherin boy is enthralled enough to attend every single lesson and not miss anything.
But this library was not like any other muggle library. Books somehow fluttered about, packing themselves where they belonged, and everything was so incredibly amazing. This was magic; it was imagination on a whole new level.
Whilst wondering around, Atlas had noticed this other female, whom he did not know. He considered joining her since they appeared to be quite at ease and hoped that she wasn't the unkind type. "Hello," the Slytherin boy greeted. He then looked about her and added, "I do not mean to intrude your space, but I thought perhaps we could get to know one another?, Don't you think this school is amazing? Everything about it is so enticing and wonderful." He asked, hoping to hear from the young girl, "Have you ever felt fortunate to be attending such a school even with much more cooler lessons?".────────────────────────────────

─── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ────── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ───With the soft fluttering sounds of the pages from the fly books echoed around the stillness of the vast library. Every so often the sound of quills scribbling on parchment would softly echo, the crackling of the many fireplaces in the vast room would hiss and crackle.
Helena continued to graze her fingers across the spines of the books that stood proudly in line among the oak wood bookshelves. Her sea blue eyes scanned the letterings quietly. The young girl wanted to find something of interest to read even though she spent a majority of her time reading and studying she barely had time to make any actual friends, but the young girl did not mind that she liked the small circle she started to make. Many of her new friends were kind and helped the young girl get comfortable in this vast castle.
The silence was welcoming to Helena. The golden haired girl continued to gently touch the spines of the books as she read the lettering on the spine of the books. As the young first year was lost in her mere thoughts the sound of footsteps made her ears twitch slightly until a voice echoed around her. Making the young girl turn her attention towards the source of the voice.
Helena gazed softly at the young boy that stood near her. The boy stood fairly taller than her his blue eyes seemed to stand out to Helena as the young girl seemed to continue to examine him quietly.
Breaking out of her train of thought Helena smiled softly towards the young Slytherin boy after all he just introduced himself to her and seemed to ramble on a bit which caught the Hufflepuff girl off guard.
The golden haired girl had to rack her brain as she figured out how to speak to the young boy all at once which she was never good at long conversations or anything, but she figured she would give it a try at least.
“Ah I am Helena. Helena Rose. You are also not intruding at all after all the library is open to all. Oh um yes I suppose the school is rather amazing.
Helena spoke softly in uncertainty as her voice wavered slightly. The young girl felt rather confused after all she could tell the young boy was excited. Helena only assumed he may be a muggleborn who started attending Hogwarts; he seemed rather excited about the lessons to which Helena found them rather boring though she always spent her time reading more than anything.
“The lessons are alright though the books are a bit better. They hold more than what we actually are taught or at least I believe that. Though I get the professors like to take things fairly slow so I suppose I won’t be to disappointed it is still early in the year.”
As the young girl spoke quietly in her poise tone of voice she continued to examine the young boy he seemed rather excited and raring to go so it would not surprise Helena much if he barely had any contact to the wizarding world, but at the same time she found it rather enjoyable the young Slytherin boy was kind at least he seemed to act rather kind to say the least.
