Mischief Poorly Managed PV Lallie Luna Closed

Tonight was different than usual. Amanda had gotten a large amount of homework that day and had neglected to attend to it until later that evening. She was finishing up the last paragraph for her Astronomy when she heard light footsteps outside the common room. She paused, setting down her quill. Students were not supposed to be out at this hour. I don’t know if it’s a student, though, she reminded herself, standing up. I’ll just have a look anyways, though.

Amanda walked quietly over to the door and opened it, peeking out into the corridor. There was nobody in sight. She shrugged and began to close the door when she caught the barely audible sound of voices. She paused, trying to listen in. Amanda couldn’t catch any words, but there was definitely somebody, or two somebodies, up in the owlery.

Not wanting to leave her work area a mess, Amanda rushed over and cleaned it up a bit by closing her ink bottle and drying off her quill tip. Once she had tidied her materials up, she left the common room silently and began to climb up to the owlery.

When Amanda reached the top, she was greeted by the sight of two girls talking with one another. She sighed and cleared her throat to get their attention. She supposed that she did look like quite the sight, standing there in her blazer and skirt with her mussed-up hair and tired eyes. “Hi,” she said, smiling slightly. “I hate to crash the party, but you guys shouldn’t be up past curfew.” Amanda raised her eyebrows at them. “So unless you have a really amazing excuse, I’m going to have to give you two detention.”
