Negative emotions, something Rosalyn hasn't experienced yet. Well, she wouldn't have known anyways, it would be too difficult to define certain emotions as negative or not. Rosalyn looked back at the image, wondering what about it depicted 'negative emotions'. "Was it the way I shaded it in? Was it the rough look I gave it? Is it the demon itself?" She would reflect on this questions for a bit, looking back over towards the girl when she apologized. Rosalyn didn't understand what the girl was saying sorry for. Over-analyzing didn't seem like a terrible quality to have, maybe the girl thought differently. As Rosalyn was about to ask all the questions she had, the girl had continued."Ah- I see. Some of your works would be considered rather dark in nature, so I thought they might have resulted from negative emotions,"
Rosalyn waited for the girl to finish speaking entirely this time. Listening to her questions, and what she had added on right after. She cleared her throat before speaking. "From literature, yes. If I knew the name of the book I would tell you, however, it had no title on it. It was a plain brown covered book, I believe it was an old school fantasy book," A small high pitched sneeze would escape from Rosalyn, but she continued to speak right after. "I do not mind answering any questions you have. I too have a strong desire for knowledge."
Rosalyn wasn't too sure what to think of the girl. They seemed quite similar, but that isn't always inherently good. It had occurred to her that she didn't know the stranger's name. As she was about to ask, she would hear footsteps. They were getting louder and louder, someone was coming closer. Rosalyn reached into one of the pockets on her sweatpants and grabbed a hold of her wand, but she didn't pull it out just yet. She waited for the figure to get closer.
All the while Rosalyn pretended to not hear the footsteps hoping to not scare off her new acquaintance, but she probably heard them as well. The stranger now stopped moving, and as soon as they spoke Rosalyn jumped up and pointed her wand at the stranger. Her eyes were fierce, and she darted her laser stare onto the stranger. It was another girl, she seemed to be the exact same age as Rosalyn. She stared right into the girl's hazel eyes, no, they were slightly more golden. She stared long and hard, looking to see if the girl would waver at all.

The snowy-haired girl sneezed. "Gesundheit," A book without a title? That was unfortunate, for Xailah would have liked to read the story. The girl continued, stating that she had no issue with answering Xailahs questions. Good. This put her mind at ease for a second- She did not want to feel like a bother. Normally, she did not worry about what others were thinking of her, but a lack of sleep, and being in a sour mood was bringing out the worst in her; these factors coaxed out the bitter thoughts that lay in dormant inside the shadowed caverns of her mind."From literature, yes. If I knew the name of the book I would tell you, however, it had no title on it. It was a plain brown covered book, I believe it was an old school fantasy book,"
There was a brief silence. The girl looked as if she was about to ask a question- but she never did. Crunch crunch crunch. What was that? Footsteps? Yes. Could it be a small animal? No- the footsteps sound too heavy to be a small animal. The white-haired girl reached a pale hand into one of the pockets on her sweatpants. Xailah sat very still. Her glimmering gold eyes darted around on the ground. A primitive part of her mind was telling her to stay still- maybe they wont see you. She looked up from the ground, watching the silhouetted figure get closer.
The figure was that of a girl clad in red. Xailahs eyes met the other girls- which like hers, were pools of molten gold. The other girls hair was the color of caramel, and it danced with the reflection of moonbeams. Snowy-haired girl raised her wand up to the Caramel-haired girl. And for some strange reason the two reminded Xailah of the Red Queen, and the White Queen, from Lewis Carroll's novel "Through the Looking-Glass".
Xailah watched the girl with caramel hair go and sit down. Independent. She must be very independent. Or perhaps self-willed? Self-willed sounds more likely. "...Seems as if you have already made yourself at home...- I have no problem with you joining us." She said in a hushed voice. Xailah looked to the white-haired girl to see if she had anything to say. The new girl was obviously an artist as well, for she carried a sketchbook and supplies with her. Xailah leaned forward slightly. She wanted to see what the other girl had in her sketchbook.”Mind if I join you here on this soundless... or at least it was soundless.... well, on this almost-soundless night?”
Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

She had sat down to make observations, not to seek meek and shy. As the snowy-haired angel—was she? Or was she near opposite—raised her wand at Koko, the caramel-haired girl immediately bolted up and whisked her own out. She only knew one spell, but it was a hex, and she wasn’t afraid to use it. She noticed the older girl, the one with dark hair, start eyeing her sketchbook. Koko nudged It towards gold-eyes, hoping that the veiled beauty noticed that Koko was fine if she looked at it. It didn’t have anything even remotely embarrassing residing inside, except for a few surprisingly realistic sketches of her so-called “perfect family.” They weren’t perfect, not by any means, but it was how Koko had drawn them.
Koko didn’t know it, but her golden-brown eyes had a fire blazing deep inside them, bringing out the gold sea of wonder. Her eyes were alight with fury, fury that someone would dare aim their wand at her. The other girl’s blood red eyes saw straight into Koko’s, but she knew that no matter how otherworldly the snow-haired child had seemed, she couldn’t read minds. She didn’t scare Koko.
The pale Slytherin raised an arched eyebrow at the red-eyed girl. She didn’t know what the other girl was trying to accomplish, but it probably wasn’t working, seeing as Koko hadn’t done much other than raise her own wand. Koko was about to mutter a seven letter “s” word, the word that was the incantation for the spell, but someone spoke before her.
Oh. The other girl had spoken. The girl in red, clad in soft materials fit for a princess, materials that she had bought herself, did nothing but nod to acknowledge the dark-haired girl speaking. Those materials might have been bought by her mother, but they wouldn’t be bought for her. No, Koko had to work for them, before she found out that she had a Gringotts vault. She still took as little money out of it as possible."...Seems as if you have already made yourself at home...- I have no problem with you joining us."
The light smile that Koko had earlier let dance across her cheeks was now gone. In its place, a scowl had decided to settle on her lips, later twisting into a sneer. ”You don’t want to mess with me,” she whispered. The wind carried her words and made them sound much more ominous than they were. She wasn’t lying, though. One did not want to mess with Koko Riddle. She would find a way to get back at them, somehow.
The hostile air that the room had taken up the space outdoors was not yet broken, but it had lessened a little with the knowledge that the dark haired girl had done nothing, and was likely flipping through the pages of Koko’s sketchbook. Koko finally came to a decision, a decision to stare into the snow-girl’s eyes and see want happened. She did not make any move towards her, nor did she lower her wand. Only time will tell what is to happen, she thought.

Red eyes still locked onto hers, noticing the sketchbook in hand but eyes still fierce. There was no certainty that this person was trustworthy, they could potentially tell a professor by the morning. Looking deep into those golden-brown eyes, waiting to see something, and she did. Rosalyn could feel a strong sense of anger within the girl by the way her eyes shown and her facial expression. She had gotten better at judging people based on the look of their eyes, or maybe it was that she had found a person who was easier to read.
The girl's lips began to move, an incantation. As the girl started Rosalyn was swift to move. She didn't know any spells herself but was versatile in Wing Chun. Going in to disarm the stranger of her wand, the black veiled acquaintance spoke. Rosalyn stopped just shy of the girl's wrist, fingers hovering just mere centimeters away.
Turning to face the new stranger once again, Rosalyn let her lack-luster monotone voice exit out of her mouth. "Your eyes are full of fiery emotion, much like the color of one's eyes. Anger? Hatred? It seemed to be a relative of those." She let out a puff of air while silence took over, but only for a few seconds. Rosalyn then sat back down next to the previous girl and flipped through her own sketchbook once again.

Rosalyn turned her head towards the other girl. She nodded and backed away from the stranger. She still maintained her stare on her, but it held no animosity. It was more of a wide-eyed curious stare. At least, until the stranger's expression had changed once again. From a scowl to a sneer, one of the facial expressions Rosalyn believed was hideous to look at, and the words she whispered only made Rosalyn more skeptical towards the girl. "No one who seeks to be friendly would have that expression." She pondered for a moment, wondering what she should do. The stranger's appearance was cute, from the black leggings and the red bow sitting on top of her head, but it was if the girl was a stereotypical witch from a fantasy book. She would look back towards her black veiled acquaintance who had decided to let the stranger sit, and thus Rosalyn decided to do the same."...Seems as if you have already made yourself at home...- I have no problem with you joining us."

Here is a drawing I did the other day. It isnt technically original though. I remembered the drawing of the rose I sent before and I drew this based on what I remembered. This could still use a lot of work, it would have probably helped if I didnt draw this in literature class

There was no hesitation when the girl with the glistening hazel eyes, whipped out her own wand, as a reaction to the other girl. Oh. Oh no. She sat still, her gentle breathing seemed to stop, as she became this adorned statue- only useful for birds to perch on. What do I do? Or rather what would she do? The last time she was in a situation like this, someone got hurt, and was very lucky a professor never found out about the incident. Luck was all she was running on, and eventually it was going to run out.
She stared down at the other girls sketchbook, with those spooky wedding-ring eyes of hers. It had moved- the books owner moved it; nudging it. The girl with the caramel hair had granted Xailah permission to view what lay plastered between cream-colored pages. She reached for the book slowly, afraid that if she made a wrong movement; that a fight could break out. And a fight was the last thing she needed. Slender fingers wrapped around the book-binding, and a cautious Xailah made her way back to her sitting-spot.
As she did so; she saw in her peripheral vision, a quick flash. The white-haired girl had thrust a pale hand towards the other girl- but just as soon as you thought she would grab the girls wrist, she stopped. The tension from the situation was rising rapidly. While before it was only energy that could be felt between people, it had now grown into a energy that contaminated the air. And if no one did anything they would all suffocate- figuratively speaking.
But Snowy-Hair did something, she sat down. And as she did so, Xailah started flipping through the pages of the other strangers sketchbook. She stopped on a page, and ran a gentle finger over the faces of the graphite figures. It was a family, and she remembered how much she missed her own.

I apologize for the shabby- and late response, I had an essay in English that I needed to work on. By the way, thats a pretty good rose. I like the dark shadows and lines, it kind of looks like something from a stained-glass window.

She hadn't tried to be rude. Only a little intimidating. The grass, while still darkened by the depths of the night, had gained a small sparkle with the midnight dew. It was somewhat enchanting to the young Slytherin. Shooting a smirk at the girl with bloodred eyes, she slowly, cautiously, moved her hand away until it rested behind her. She then took a few steps away--not backwards, as that might mistakenly portray fear, but to the side so she could keep possession of her wand. A view of the castle was in the distance, and Koko could see a few flickering lights--probably the candles in the Great Hall.
As Koko backed away she heard a voice, one that sounded oddly monotone. It made the girl's white hair seem relative to the emotion filling her voice:She respected the other girl even more so now. She wasn't sounding emotional--in fact, Koko was beginning to wonder if she felt any. But what struck her was that the snowy-haired child had stated her comment like a police report--the exact way Koko would have if she had wished to say something."Your eyes are full of fiery emotion, much like the color of one's eyes. Anger? Hatred? It seemed to be a relative of those."
"I don't believe that I would say it was either of those emotions. Just a mere, but strong, sense of disbelief," Koko responed with a dull undertone in her voice--she was not bored. She no longer felt the strangly present sense of utter disbelief. She felt... cold. She should've worn something that would provide her more warmth. "I apologize for intruding. My name is Koko... What are yours?" she questioned. Koko could be very inquisitive at times, but this was not one of these moments. She was only curious.
Many people said that curiosity killed the cat. Koko's only response to that would be, "Well, the cat must have been very stupid to let itself get killed." In other words, Koko was smart enough to not let her curiosity get her in trouble. She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear as she moved under a tree and sat down in a spot that seemed fairly dry. Their dark-haired acquaintance was still flipping through the pages of Koko's sketchbook. Her gaze seemed to be resting longingly on a sketch of Koko's family. Her eyes narrowed slightly, but it was almost unnoticeable. Only one who had known her for a long time would have been able to sense her slight discomfort at one seeing this.
Her family wasn't always as loving as she had drawn them, but she preferred not to talk about. Or think about it, for that matter. She let her thoughts slide away from the sketch. Glancing up at Snowy-hair, she added, "I also regret it if I seemed rude. It was not my intention."

It’s perfectly fine; no need to rush! I’m sorry that it took me a bit to reply to this. I’ve been a little busy as well. Rosalyn, beautiful rose drawing! I probably would have done it on an English paper... once I drew a character on my math homework.

One's own eyes would look at the sketchbook as well. A drawing of a family, it was a well-made piece. Rosalyn would look at every detail, from each family member's main outline to the smallest details onto their face. The girl was surely no amateur, many could only hope to achieve a level of skill similar to this. Her observation of the drawing ended once the girl began to speak again.
It did feel relieving to learn one of the acquaintance's names. It was a unique name, one could wonder the decision behind the name. Rosalyn turned her head to face Koko, giving her response. "Rosalyn Mairead." Her voice still monotone, and her response short and brief; Rosalyn never gave more information then what was needed for a question. One of her pet peeves was wasting her breath, not because she disliked talking to others, to a certain extent, but it just happened to annoy her."I apologize for intruding. My name is Koko... What are yours?"
Rosalyn turned her head to face Koko once again. What she had said felt out of somewhat out of place, a little late perhaps. If one could actually feel social cues, it would come up as awkwardness. Rosalyn wasn't really sure how to respond. At first, she thought of an apology, but from past experiences, it would seem to give a sense of pity. Her eyebrows would raise slightly at an idea. She had once read in a children's book about giving a "thumb's up"; it was a way to show a positive reaction or answer towards something. With her face as lack-luster as always, Rosalyn lifted her arm up slowly, pointed her fist towards the girl, and lifted her thumb up facing the sky."I also regret it if I seemed rude. It was not my intention."

Ok I am VERY SORRY for the long reply. School has been hectic this third quarter and it will only get worse from here. I'm not sure when I'll be able to post next because I have 3 research papers and a speech due this upcoming week. I only believe the workload will get bigger from there on. Once again, I am terribly sorry/
Also, here are some more drawings of mine. I usually write my instagram @ on there but I crossed them out before posting here. I'm not too comfortable with letting people from here see into my personal life but I hope you enjoy them anyways. One last thing, the ones with a "CP" by them means I copied them, mostly because I thought they looked cool and I wanted to try to get them myself.
