Too Many Books PV Constance Aphelion Closed

With a deep breath, Harley looked over at Constance. "Yeah, let's do it," he smiled softly, bright blue eyes sparkling with a mix of nervousness and excitement. He hadn't expected help from anyone this early on in the term, never mind someone he'd just met. It was exhilarating, in a way, feeling like he had found a friend in Constance.

Peering over her notes, his head tilted to the side slightly. "Is that how that's meant to be pronounced?" he questioned, pointing at her notes on incantations. Admittedly, he had struggled quite a bit trying to say the incantations correctly in class— possibly because of his accent, but it was almost certainly the cause of his mishaps, come to think of it.

In any case, he promptly grabbed his quill with his left hand and started noting them down on a piece of parchment paper. It wouldn't do much good for him if he already forgot them before his next charms class now, would it?

This was good— most helpful actually. Perhaps there was hope for him yet, in large part thanks to Constance. Of course, he likely would've figured it all out on his own eventually, though Merlin knows how long that would've taken him. He was a hard-working young badger after all— there was a good reason he was sorted into Hufflepuff, besides his innate kindness.

A warm smile lingered on his face as he carefully made his own notes from Constance's, his handwriting neat and easy to read despite still adjusting to using a quill over a pen. Something he would never quite understand, why wizards still used quills...
