Impeaching Predicaments PV Aurelia B Emma H Fin

The time she spent in the hospital wing seemed like forever. Her first visit had been to break in and comfort her friend, this time it was to comfort her enemy. How ironic. She tapped her fingers against her leg, instead of clicking at her pearl bracelet gifted to her by the deceased grandmother she held at her heart.

Have you ever heard of overdosing? The brunette wanted to ask the Gryffindor, instead, she looked back at the closed wooden doors, slowly planning her escape if needed. She wasn't going to fight Aurelia, the sick, deranged Gryffindor. That would simply get her into more trouble. No matter, Emma was a natural born troublemaker, just like her grandmother and that beat the pureblood status anyday in her eyes.

Before she could muster up the courage to speak, Cecily spoke. To her relief, she had backed Emma up without a tone of doubt in her voice. She wanted to know why Aurelia had the guts to blame all of her errors on her.

"Why on earth don't you believe me? I was at Charms, well, leaving the classroom to be specific. How could I knock you out if I was inside the classroom?" She asked, a bit curious to see the answer she'd already prepared. Throwing questions at her by the second, she then decided to turn to her fellow Ravenclaw, unsure of the thoughts rummaging around inside of her head. Without a doubt, there were surely a lot, but it wasn't exactly her business. For once, she stayed in her lane and decided to answer her question, though she did lower her tone a bit and calmed her shaky hands.

"Forgetfulness Potion," she began. "I'll leave it to her to tell you its purpose though.. I don't want to seem.. you know.." Her voice faded, unable to translate her thoughts into words. Perhaps she meant nosy or even a bit shady for revealing a dark secret of her past. One thing she couldn't promise? It was that Cecily wasn't going to be the only one aware of the Gryffindor's addiction to the Forgetfulness Potion.

Impeaching Predicaments PV Aurelia B Emma H Fin
[quote]Aurelia fought the urge to roll her eyes when Emma demanded for the reasons of being accused. There were plenty of reasons why Emma could have been the one who caused her to fall unconscious in the middle of the hallway. Many. From the events of last term and the past few months of her second year, Emma had shown her obvious dislike towards her.The Ravenclaw should be smart enough to know the answer to her own question.

For now, Aurelia wanted nothing but to rest and grieve about missing that interview. Argueing with her nemesis was not on her list of to-dos as it would only just tire her out even more. Yet again as usual, Emma was entering dangerous waters when she choose to answer Cecily’s question for her. Aurelia swore that Emma only lived just to pester her every chance she could.

It doesn’t have any side effects, I assure you. So it wouldn’t be the cause. I’ve taken the potion countless of times and never have I ever experience other effects other than forgetting memories minutes prior to consuming it.” Aurelia stated.

Yes Emma, leave me and Cecily be. She and I need to have a chat” Aurelia said and made a gesture as if brushing of dust of a table.

I was passed out down the hallway I presume? Were there any students near by then?” She asked cecily with complete disregard of Emma’s presence.

Her time in the Hospital Wing was going splendid. Absolutely splendid. She had to sit there, listening to a Griffyndor and a Ravenclaw argue about who had caused her to faint and why she was there in the hospital wing. At first, it seemed like a big deal to Cecelia, and she immediately wanted the girl in the cot to know the truth. But now, it was becoming out of hand. While the other two second years continued to argue, Cecelia looked out the window, wishing there was a bird that she could look at to be distracted, but all she saw was the snow falling.

Well, at least that's a nice window pane. And that wall over there is beautiful. she thought awkwardly. The only thing that caught Cecily's attention was the potion they had mentioned.

Forgetfulness? Cecelia's eyes darted from the window to Emma's, and then to the Griffyndor's. Why would the Griffyndor want a forgetfulness potion? Cecily's interest in this drink stained her thoughts, but then the Griffyndor went back to the other argument. Immediately, Cecily felt the urge to roll her eyes but resisted, wanting to be polite. She didn't want to talk about the matter anymore, but there was no resisting it, especially since the Griffyndor wanted to have a "chat" with her. Cecily looked straight into the girl's eyes, uninterested as she asked her more about when Cecily found her in the hallway. Cecily's response was plain and unenthusiastic, but she tried to sound convincing.

"Look," she began. "I didn't see anyone else around, alright? I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. I was only paying attention to you, because I know you needed help. I didn't have time to look and see if there was anyone around. How was I supposed to know to check anyway? And listen. Both of you." Cecily's eyes turned to Emma's, and then back to the other girl. "We really need to drop this, alright? It's over. I've told... um," Cecily looked at the Griffyndor, hating not knowing what her name was. She shook her head, and then continued. "I've told you what really happened, and you can choose to believe me, or you can choose not to. But we really ought to stop fighting about this. I realize it is getting nowhere."

Cecelia looked around, wondering what else to say.

"U-uh, how are you feeling? Do you need anything?" Cecelia asked the Griffyndor, wanting to be kind.

She hoped that the Griffyndor and Emma would drop the subject and actually start caring for each other. There was something that told Cecily it wouldn't happen, though.

Impeaching Predicaments PV Aurelia B Emma H Fin
Thankful for Cecily's defensive statement, Emma looked down at her leg and a small smile briefly appeared. Too much had already managed to leak from her mouth, but it was rather laborious to unmask her feelings towards the Gryffindor's secret.  There was guilt, satisfaction, and vengeance crammed into one second-year student. With magic. She was a practically ticking bomb in the presence of Aurelia.

Emma exhaled sharply at the mention to say out of the conversation, looking up at Aurelia, but keeping her mouth sealed. She diverted her eyes and looked down at her robes, continuing to allow her fingers to tap her robes silently without an argument.

For the first time, Emma obeyed the commands of Aurelia, and she hated the feeling it gave her.

With her ears listening, the Ravenclaw looked up to meet Cecilia's eyes. She agreed, completely.  After all, what was the point of arguing with the student if she knew she was right. As soon as she had finished speaking, Emma jumped in to answer her fellow Ravenclaw first. "You're right. It's getting absolutely no where with no evidence of proving who did what... Even though I'm not saying I did it, I'm done arguing with you."

Her head turned to Aurelia, her look softening a bit, though her eyes continued to stay narrow, looking her up and down for any signs of a false injury. To herself, she added, for today.

The integrity of Cecily was astonishing, much more than Emma would ever have. With no nurse in sight (she had her back turned), it was the perfect moment to get back at Aurelia. Alas, with the ill students recovering inside of the nurse's sight, it was far too risky to attempt such a thing with witnesses, besides she couldn't afford yet another detention with Aurelia. Despite Cecily's convincing words, Emma and the Gryffindor were always going to be enemies.. to the death even. Time was passing just splendidly inside of the Wing.
