The Newest Friendship
Esme nodded, “Semi-formal, I’ve got something nice to wear.” The excitement shining on Aliana’s face was so cute that Esme giggled to herself, her hand over her mouth. “I think this will be good for both of us.”
“I also feel a sense of belonging here, like it’s fate or something like that. I think you might be fate as well, I feel…what’s the term for feeling like something already happened?” She wiped her glasses and stared directly into Aliana’s eyes, they were like magnets, drawing her near, so enticing, yet mysterious as eyes always were, she didn’t know what was going on behind them, yet she wanted to know, and she had a positive feeling about Aliana’s thoughts.
“If my māmā let’s me go with a friend I made not too long ago during summer, you wanna come with? She’s super awesome, and she’s Korean.” Esme said as if it was a bonus, in truth she saw a lot of Asians at Hogwarts, but she hadn’t really interacted with them all at, so meeting Sere was a new experience.
“I warn you, she’s a lot more serious than me. But that’s not really saying anything is it?” She changes seating positions, now rocking back and forth with her arms on her legs.

The Newest Friendship
I can't help but smile brightly as I watch Esme laughing, and her contagious laughter makes me giggle too. It's just so heartwarming to see how adorable she looks in that moment.Esme is speaking to me about fate and as I listen, I can't help but nod in agreement. “I completely agree! I know we just met but I feel like something is supposed to happen between us were supposed to meet like something pushed us together yknow?” It's strange, isn't it? Even though we've just met, it feels like there's something significant meant to happen between us. Like we were destined to meet and there's a force that brought us together. Esme talks about her friend and I can't help but smile. "Oh, I would absolutely love to meet her," I say excitedly. She sounds like such a fun and amazing person!" Esme's comment makes me giggle and I nod while still giggling.pick up my sketchbook once more, its worn cover feeling familiar and comforting in my hands. With a sense of anticipation, I turn to a fresh page, its pristine whiteness beckoning me to bring it to life. As I begin to sketch, my pencil glides across the page, capturing the essence of Esme's beauty with each stroke. I pay careful attention to the way the light dances upon her face, casting delicate shadows that add depth and dimension to my drawing. I strive to capture not just her physical features, but also the essence of her spirit, the intangible qualities that make her truly unique.As I continue to sketch, time seems to stand still. The Newest Friendship
She is endeared by Aliana’s constant happiness towards her statements and reactions. She never knew anyone who treated her like this, not as in just “nice” but rather, treating her like she was special or very interesting to them, and it made her want this feeling more, to be cherished by someone, but she didn’t know how to go about making that clear. Besides her Māmā would tell her to hold composure, to be more elegant and sophisticated, yet she just felt herself letting loose every time she laid eyes on Aliana.
Noticing Aliana picking up the book, she figured Aliana was going to start drawing, then she figured that maybe she was being drawn, so she decided to do Aliana a silent favor and stay relatively still while also keeping natural so that it doesn’t look like she’s forcing a pose.
Then after a moment she reaches her hand a bit closer to Aliana, a thought as fast as a lightning bolt appearing in her psyche. She wondered whether on not it was a good idea, then she hesitated….then covered up the thought with another question aimed at Aliana. “Can you cook? Like actually cook food? Eggs don’t count.” She laughed to herself.

The Newest Friendship
As I sit here with my sketchbook in hand, I can't help but feel completely entranced by Esme. Her beauty is undeniable, but it's more than just her physical appearance that has me captivated. It's the way she carries herself, with a confidence and grace that is both alluring and inspiring. As I continue to sketch her, my attention remains solely on her. I'm completely absorbed in the task at hand, trying to capture every detail of her features and the way the light falls on her skin. It's as if nothing else in the world exists except for her and my sketchbook. I find myself studying her every movement, from the way she tilts her head to the way she gestures with her hands. It's as if I'm trying to capture not just her appearance, but her essence as well. And as I work, I can feel myself becoming more and more drawn to her.For a moment, it feels as if time has stopped. I'm completely in the moment, lost in the beauty of the world around me. I almost don’t hear esmes questions from how focused I am but then realize what she’s saying. “Oh yea! I can cook tons of things! I cooked a Alfredo pasta dish for my parents alll the time!” I exclaim excitedly. “What about you esme?” I ask sweetly as I go back to drawing her.

The Newest Friendship
Esme begins to get curious, wondering what it looks like, if Aliana did well. Her curiosity piques and she tries to see the art. Subtly peaking at the drawing, she couldn’t quite get a good look so she looks to Aliana.
“Can I see? Pretty please?” She turned toward her, hands together in a mock-prayer.
“I’ll do anything, but the suspense is killing me!” She giggles her pupils getting bigger as she gets a boost of serotonin from playing with Aliana. “I know you can’t rush art…but I think it’ll be really good, and I wanna keep it when you make it.
“I can cook many things, mostly traditional dishes but I am learning about making the food from Europe. I like shepherd’s pie. It’s really good when you have it for the first time.” She remembers when she made it for her family, they were hesitant but it grew on them, and so this dish is enjoyable for multiple reasons to her. “I occasionally take responsibility of the food when my parents are tired. I just really love making food for the people I care about. In fact, I can demonstrate my abilities to you when I get the chance, I could make you anything you want, what do you think?”

With a swift and practiced motion, I carefully position myself between her and the hidden masterpiece, ensuring that she won't catch even the slightest glimpse of it. As I stand there, a playful smile dances on my lips, knowing that the element of surprise is on my side. I can feel the anticipation building within me, relishing the moment when I can finally reveal the artwork and witness her reaction. "Oh, you're adorable with all that excitement! I'd love to show you, but it's a work in progress. How about this, once it's finished, you get the first exclusive look, deal?" Aliana winks playfully.

Esme had a bashful smile when she was called adorable. “If you say so, I mean..I guess I can wait, I just know your work is gonna be great, so I’m really excited to see is all.” She puts her hand on Aliana’s shoulder, but suddenly withdraws it, subtly, as if it was an intentional movement.
“You’re in luck then, I hope it’ll hold up to your expectations.” She put her hands together and twined her fingers, but kept her pose somewhat. “Maybe since I taught you a bit of Chinese, you could teach me something, anything really, and I could owe you back to keep us even.” She wondered to herself, there are many things that Aliana seemed to know, and she wanted to constantly talk to her, nonstop, even if the conversation became unintelligible or was fairly random, hearing Aliana’s playful tone and seeing her give everything an enthusiastic side of her, it just made Esme want to know more, until she could read Aliana like a book…maybe that was weird…

“La vida es un sueño…” she mimicked the accent, not perfectly but she tried. It was an odd mix of a Chinese and Spanish accent. “Er…I hope I did good. I probably sounded weird.”
“I think those are very beautiful countries, I feel like a lot of romance goes on there too. Have you ever been?” She daydreams about a Spanish or Italian person sweeping her off her feet. “I imagine it’s fun over there.”
Esme was flattered, she didn’t know how she’d be able to repay Aliana for that compliment. “Oh my… you’re too kind. I hope you know that you’re beautiful as well. Your eyes, they’re otherworldly, the longer I stare the more I realize how unique you are, especially to me.” Esme was about to laugh at herself. “I’m sorry…I can’t keep up, I’m not as smooth as you are, but I do really think you’re pretty.” She tries to take Aliana’s hand into her’s, a friendly smile of genuine intentions. Assuming Aliana wouldn’t pull away, Esme would decide to keep her hand.

“Good job!” I say happily as I’m impressed with her ability to speak Spanish.
“I’ve been to Italy before but never Spain! It’s very pretty there!”I say happily.
I immediately blush and get flustered as she grabs my hand and compliments me. “I-uhm-I t-thank you” I stutter out flustered.
I giggle and start to calm myself down a bit more to be Abel to actually speak to esme.
Once I calm down An idea pops into my head. "Hey, Esme, I know we talked about it before, but I was wondering if you'd like to go to the BalKim ball with me? Not just as friends?" I ask, feeling a bit nervous. "I really like you and I think it would be a lot of fun to go together, so I wanted to ask you properly," I add with a giggle. Just imagining how great we would look together and how stunning Esme would look all dressed up makes me smile. It brings a smile to my face when I imagine how perfect we would look as a couple, walking hand in hand, radiating love and happiness. The thought of Esme by my side, dressed up for a special occasion, fills my heart with joy. Even though she already looks absolutely incredible in her everyday attire, I can't help but envision her in a stunning gown, captivating everyone with her grace and beauty.
