New Sparks PV Luna Choi Finished

"The weather is nice today..." Luna looked at the sky and mumbled. She closed her lavender eyes and let the wind played with her hair. After a while, she randomly took a book with her and started walking to the grounds. With the weather like this, she couldn't find any reasons to stay in the castle.

Luna used her book to hide the smile on her face while she was walking to a big tree. She could not see anyone around it, and the tree branches looked quite solid. "Perfect..."The little snake touched the tree, mumbled and looked around one more time. After she was sure that no one was watching, Luna started climbing. It didn't take her too long to sit down on a tree branch. To be honest, she has already spotted it right before she started to climb. The other people couldn't see the branch because there were a lot of leaves. In addition, the Slytherins uniform could perfectly cover her.

Luna was a Slytherin, however, her father was a Gryffindor. Even when she didn't belong to the lion house, she still had something familiar to them. Her father taught her to climb trees because he thought it would help her in the future. Luna didn't know what could make her thought "trees climbing" was useful, until this moment. She could see some students were playing with one another far away, and breathing fresh air from up there made her felt more comfortable.

She opened the book that she was holding and started to read. However, she closed it right after a few minutes. It's not that she hated it, but she just finished reading it the day before. In addition, she could still remember what happened. A soft sigh came from her mouth, and she put the book down. Luna stared at the sky, and she felt that she could just sit like this all day.

But, the lavender hair girl didn't know, there was a tree trunk near the big tree, and behind it, there was a Gryffindor girl who was sitting there, even before she came to the tree.

After a few moments, Elena sighed rolling up the parchment and stuffing it in her bag. She'd have to delay the assignment for later as usual. Astronomy just wasn't her thing. Stretching, she got up grabbing her bag swinging it over her shoulder looking around covering a yawn. The students were still throwing around that frisbee and they seemed to be getting rather good at not targeting people by accident. She smirked at that as she began to leave rounding the tree and nearly bumping into another girl, Slytherin by the looks of uniform. The prefect halted nearly crashing into the student the momentum sending her bag forwards and the rolls of parchment in her bag came sliding right out spread all over the place."Oh! Sorry, sorry!"She exclaimed to the girl catching a textboox as it attempted to tumble out.

She stuffed it back in her bag setting it down sighing as she looked down at the jumbled papers sighing to herself. They were littered with grass. The frisbee-throwing students had caught wind of the situation and the snickering could be heard as they pointed."Guess I should pay more attention where I'm going huh? Didn't think anyone came over here, seems I was wrong."She said chuckling attempting to make light of the situation. She knelt down, her hands grabbing for the nearest parchment rolling it into a tight bundle again and stuffed it in her bag. She would repeat this painstaking process several times though her eyes drifted towards the last remaining piece. Her expression widened with horror as she realized what it was. Her Astronomy homework. The slight wind breeze was beginning to carry it along up towards a tree. She could not afford to lose. She cast a pleading mixed with hesitancy look at the Slytherin."Do you mind helping me for a second obtaining that?"She said nodding towards the parchment.

While Luna was still sitting and thinking about a lot of stuff that made her relax, she could hear some students were laughing. She tried to ignore it, but they won't stop. Luna looked suspiciously at them, she was sure that they couldn't see her. The little snake looked down, and then she saw a Gryffindor girl and a lot of papers were dropped. Just by looking at them, she could imagine what happened to the poor girl.

"Why aren't they helping her?" She muttered in frustration and totally forgot that that girl could see her from down there. She bit her lips and turned around. It was a bit harder to climb down from there, but she should do it before the little lion could see her. And if she was fast, maybe Luna could help her... and she hoped that the girl wasn't the type that hated Slytherins, she wasn't interested in causing herself in trouble.

When Luna was going to climb down, she heard the Gryffindor girl asked someone to help her. And if she wasn't wrong, the only one who could hear it was... She sighed after realized that the girl was talking with her. Luckily, the students weren't looking there anymore, or she would be really embarrassed.

The Slytherin girl took the paper and looked at it for a second. "Astronomy?" She mumbled. Looked like she just found a hardworking Gryffindor... She jumped down in front of her, didn't care about the fact that a Slytherin shouldn't do that. After all, she saw her in the tree. It was easy to guess that she climbed on it, so Luna didn't have any reasons to cover it in front of the Gryffindor girl. Luna gave the paper to her and asked, "Do you need any help? I... am quite bored, so maybe I could spend my time helping you..." Luna tried to say as if she was forced to do that, but she was still giving the Gryffindor a worried look.

She sighed inwardly in relief as the parchment was retrieved."Thank you." It seemed that there was yet one kind soul that remained on this earth.Thank the heavens for that.Elena thought before the voice broke into her inner thoughts. The student was actually willing to go beyond, it seemed. She wanted to assist her with this dreary and boring topic? The Gryffindor glanced down at the parchment with all her scribble on it and back at the girl wide-eyed. She had a look of genuine concern on her face and the prefect couldn't be happier. It was like a miracle had been sent down to her. "Well, if you want to, I'd gladly appreciate it, not many students like to involve themselves in the topic of stars and planets."She said eyeing the sky above them meaningfully. It would be dark soon but that was the least of her worries. Curfew was not for another couple hours or so, they had plenty of time. Time she hoped would be enough to conclude this abomination that the professor defined as homework.

Elena shook out the parchment letting it unravel to it's full length, the list of questions inscribed on the paper greeting the duo. It was no easy task judging from the length and all the complicated words but with a fair bit of effort and time, it was doable."It's just talking about the Sun and Earth's rotation and the several types of stars."The Gryffindor explained her finger trailing over the questions. The frisbee-throwing group was gone so at least they had the outside to themselves for now at least."By the way, I don't think I caught your name..?"She said suddenly piping up inquiring. The girl was willing to aid her and Elena had not even asked for her name. Her parents would be beyond themselves, she laughed inwardly at the thought."I'm Elena, Elena Jangleton of Gryffindor House."She said offering a hand for the other to shake.

Luna nodded at the Gryffindor girl. The topic of starts and planets was sure hard, but it didn't mean that she didn't have any interest in it, not to mention she wanted to help her too. She was a bit shocked when she saw the parchment after the little lion shook it out. It was harder than she could imagine, but she would try to do as best as she could...

"Interesting," the Slytherin girl murmured when she showed her the question. And after Elena introduced herself, Luna remembered that she forgot to introduce herself too. She shook the Gryffindor girl's hand and gave her a quick smile, "My name is Luna. Full name is Luna Choi. In addition, I am pretty sure that you know which house I am from, I am wearing my uniform after all..." Luna looked at her uniform a bit when she said that. She wasn't expected to see Elena being friendly with her, so she just gave the girl a weird look. However, it was good that they did not have a fight or something like that because Luna did not want to get herself in trouble. Not to mention, she did not want the relationship between Gryffindor and Slytherin got worse.

She nodded filing down the name for later reference.Luna Choi..She smiled nodding as her pupils eyed the girl's green uniform. It was all to easy to distinguish her house.'Slytherin."Elena responded in a neutral tone. To be fair here, the girl did not have a particulary high opinion of the house or those who were sorted into it but if this student was willing to help her, take away from her own time, she was not about to accost her based on her house. A mistake she made in the past."You know, usually, people tend not to give a inkling of thought to something like this but you stopped to assist, thanks." The prefect said shuffling her papers around yet again. The grounds were beginning to grow dimmer and dimmer by the moment as the clouds cast a dark overcast. Dusk was setting on them soon but she paid it no mind. After all, what perfect time to do Astronomy work than when the stars were out dancing about? It was the perfect chance. She still failed to grasp why the subject was so vital, she sincerely doubted anyone in her year wanted to mope around telescopes noting down the qualites and details of the trillion starts that were out there. Interesting as it may be, she would quite rather be off practicing spells for an instance. It was much more interesting.

"Want to sit down somewhere?She asked nodding towards the tree log from where she had come around."I brought some food too if you're hungry."She added grinning digging into her bag and out of a small compartment, Elena produced Chocolate Frogs, two of them and offered one to the girl.'Who knows, you might get a rare wizard or witch, go on!"She encouraged the girl her eyes intent on the frog.

"No need to say thank you, I just do what I want to." Even when she said so, Luna was quite happy to hear a thank you from Elena, not to mention, the Gryffindor girl didn't act like she hated Slytherins. She knew that there were a lot of people who hated Slytherins, glad that Elena wasn't one of them.

Luna turned her gaze to the tree log where the little lion was talking about and then answered, "Sure, sitting there is a good idea." And she couldn't find any reasons to refuse it. It wasn't dirty, and that was enough to make Luna agreed with it. The little snake took the Chocolate Frog from Elena and gave the girl a smile, "Thank you." After taking the frog out - she felt quite lucky that it didn't jump away like last time she opened it - Luna gave the card from the box to Elena. "It's yours, isn't it? I don't care much about collecting these cards, not to mention, you are the one who bought them so," Luna stopped a bit, just to breath, and then she continued, "Take it"

She watched the girl accept the treat though she did not seem too adamant about having the card within."Nonsense."Elena responded smiling sweetly as she turned the card over in her hand not revealing the face picture placing it face down in her palm."Even if you don't collect these, just think of it as a gift. A thank-you gift at least. It could be better but I have to thank you somehow for stopping by, don't I?"She grinned taking a seat on the log placing the card next to her as she gestured for Luna to do the same."That's a personal life lesson for me, you know."She added."If you receive something, make sure you pay back what you owe for taking up that person's time for aiding you. Never thank anyone empty-handed."Elena said running her hand across the texture of the log. It was rough and full of splinters and cracks, but the Gryffindor did not seem to mind this. She rather enjoyed the outdoors setting, couldn't stand the stuffy, heated and most times, crowded house dorms. It was almost impossible to focus in there.

"On the other hand, we could play a little game after this Astronomy homework and winner obtains the card."The prefect's eyes twinkled as she unrolled the parchment sheet spreading it out so both of them had a clear view of what the questions were along with the relevant content."Though, at this rate, we might wind being here until dawn."The Gryffindor commented scanning over the variety of information they would have to dig through. The sun was getting quite low already and she rather preferred that both of them not having to explain to a professor why they were out and about after dark. They still had some time though but they had to work quickly. After all, there was still a game to be had."It just wants a brief explanation of the Sun and Earth cycles, rotations and orbit patterns, all that good stuff compiled into one."She explained eyeing the low sun in the sky. The wonders of the sky and all those little, bright stars never really were a topic of interest to her but they were fun to look at from time to time. However, that would not change her stance on this horribly dull subject. Hopefully, Luna had some astronomer expertise in her because quite frankly, the girl was struggling how to even begin this dreaded homework.

Luna silently looked at the card that she just gave Elena - but the Gryffindor Girl refused and turned it back to her. If the little Gryffindor said so, she shouldn't refuse anymore. "A thank you gift? But ac-" Luna stopped and heard what the little lion just said. She changed her mind.... "My mother told me about that before, and I think that does make sense. But still, I should say thank you." A smile appeared on Luna's face, but it quickly disappeared. Not because she didn't want to - her parents said that she should try to have a calm face instead of a face that always had a smile on it. Luna was still trying to do that, however, she was just an eleven years old girl, after all, controlling her emotions was still quite hard for her.

A game? Yeah, that was a better suggestion. However, as Elena said, it would take them a lot of time to finish her homework. Luna turned her gaze to the sheet, that was quite long... "Instead of thinking about how late we could be, shouldn't we start working on this?" The lavender eyes kept looking at it to read the questions. This wasn't her favourite subject, but she didn't think that she was bad in it either, "Do you want to work together on each question, or do you want to separate, I will do a question and you will do another, and then we check each other's answer at the end?"
