Sarah Patterson was grasping a bag of luggage. The 11 year old was nervous about starting her first year at hogwarts, especially since she was muggleborn and didn't speak english too well, as Irish was her first language. Sarah's parents were surprised when they had been given her acceptance letter from hogwarts but Sarah's parents loved her just the way she was and didn't care that she was a witch. Her mother, Jennifer Patterson hugged her and said Slan a Sarah in Irish. (Goodbye Sarah) Sarah hugged her mother back and responded slan mam in Irish. (Goodbye mom) Jenniger then let go of Sarah. Sarah's 18 year old brother, Jacob was sitting on a bench next to her 15 year old sister Lucy while her 9 year old brother John and her 5 year old sister, Harriet ran around the train station, playing tag. Sarah's father, Jospeh Patterson had unfortunately been unable to see Sarah off as he started work early in the morning. The station didn't have too many people in it as it was pretty early in the morning. After confirming that Sarah was ready for them to leave Jennifer gathered up Jacob, Lucy, John, and Harriet and left the train station. Sarah searched for platform 9 3/4 and was utterly baffled when she couldn't find it. Then she suddenly saw a boy, who looked around her age walk through a wall in between platforms 9 and 10 and disappear instead of hurting himself. Clutching her bag, Sarah nervously prepared to walk through the wall in the exact place she had seen the boy walk through.
